Hale Mahina ... House of the Moon...if you desire a peaceful retreat to slow down and relax, Hale Mahina, located on the West End of Molokai, may be the place for you. Our unit is located on the Island of Molokai, NOT Maui.

Our spacious, top-floor unit is within walking distance to three pristine and uncrowded beaches; Kepuhi, Make Horse, and Papohaku, and includes an expansive & unobstructed view of Papohaku Beach and the Ocean from the living room, master bedroom and lanai. The complex is quiet w/beautiful grounds, inviting pool/jacuzzi, tennis court and bbq areas to enhance your stay.

Our second floor unit has expansive ocean, beach and lush landscape views from our lanai, living room, kitchen/dining room areas. Our unit is positioned to take advantage of the strong trade winds. Ceiling fans in each bedroom and dining room. Tile throughout. NEW Coastal Windows sliders onto the main lanai

Well appointed, full kitchen with coffee pot, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, and standard cookware, utensils, glassware to make you just as comfortable as if you were at home!

Tasteful, Island-style decor. Indoor dining, as well as outdoor dining furniture, allowing you to enjoy a meal on the lanai. The lanai also has chaise loungers to relax.

Our unit comfortably sleeps 4 in one king and one queen bed.

Bedding is clean and crisp, with extra pillows and blankets. Luxury bath towels.

Comfortable living room with sofa, loveseat and chair with five reclining features. TV with cable and WIFI.

No phone in the unit; Verizon cell service usually works excellently. However, Molokai is a remote island with limited services. Weather and other conditions can cause power/cable WiFi interruptions without notice on occasion.

Guests have full access to all spaces in the condo, except the loft and an owner’s closet.

Guests have access to the lush grounds; approximately 13 acres of landscaped beauty, including the tennis courts, heated pool, jacuzzi, both bbq’s, poolside dining area, expansive lawns, and lending library.

Three beautiful, quiet beaches are within a short, easy walk.

On-property facilities are for registered guests only.

Our unit is also outfitted with Tommy Bahama beach chairs/coolers, tennis rackets and balls, beach towels, ice chest/cooler, boogie boards (only available during June-September) and limited games/puzzles and books.

Quiet retreat
We enjoyed the peace and quiet, comfortable accommodations and beautiful surroundings. We hiked the Halawa Valley tour and recommend it. Swimming/snorkeling is good at Murphy’s Beach on the east side. It is not safe on most of the west beaches in the winter months. Arriving on Sunday is problematic as all the grocery stores are closed, except for the mini-mart. We only were able to play tennis once, due to pickle ball reservations using the courts.

West Shore Paradise
The view of long white sand beach and ocean is beautiful from inside this condo and the lanai. Fresh breezes kept us comfortable. This is Hawaii from 50 years ago. Slow pace. Simple food. We enjoyed long walks on the beach, watching the surf ebb and flow. We cooled off at the pool where there is plenty of sun and shade to sit and read or take a short nap. I was pleasantly surprised to find high quality cookware. Kitchen is well-equipped. We came for an authentic Hawaiian Islands experienced and were not disappointed. We'll definitely come back to this slice of paradise.

The rental process was smooth and the property was exactly as described. Not too far from the beach - you can walk in 10-15 minutes, but there is also room to park if you prefer to drive. The view of the beach from the lanai is great. It’s too far to hear the ocean, but you can see the beach and ocean in the distance. Thanks for having us

Hi! My husband and I love to travel, and most has been done in the Hawaiian Islands. We traveled to Molokai for our 25th Anniversary in May 2021 and fell in love. The unspoiled beauty of the island and welcoming nature of the people enchanted us. We knew this was the place we wanted to spend our retirement, so we were fortunate enough to purchase a condo unit at Ke Nani Kai, a wonderful complex with a beautiful ocean view and a short, 5 minute walk to the beach! We want to share our love of this place with people who are really looking to explore an untouched, non-touristy, peaceful slice of heaven. If you are looking for non-stop activities, restaurants/bars/nightlife, tons of excursions, Molokai is not the place for you. However, if you are looking to relax, explore nature and beauty, reconnect with loved ones, or are on a solo journey, Molokai is your place.

Ke Nani Kai is a special place. Although Ke Nani Kai is not a resort or hotel, the complex is 13 acres of wonderful landscapes, two outdoor bbq areas, tennis courts, heated pool and huge jacuzzi. It is a residential community on the West End of Molokai with many people lucky enough to be full-time residents. The property has an expansive lawn area allowing guests to throw a frisbee or toss a football around. We do not permit smoking or vaping of ANY substance inside our unit, on either lanai, or common areas; however, there is a designated outdoor smoking area. This policy is appreciated by not only us, but our neighbors and other guests. There is a max of 4 guests to our unit. Ke Nani Kai is not a party property. Guests must register at the front office within 24 hours of arrival to get a parking permit and the gate code to the pool/jacuzzi/bbq area. We do not permit any parties, events, or unregistered guests in our unit or to use the bbq's, pool/jacuzzi, or tennis courts, without prior written approval by us and our HOA. Quiet hours of 10:00pm-8:00am are strictly enforced and appreciated. While we welcome children and young visitors, as we have children of our own, we ask that parents maintain control of their children at all times and understand there are many permanent residents in this complex who came to this special place for the peace and serenity it offers. It is very quiet in the morning and throughout the evening. Stargazing and late night walks on the beach are special here. In the spirit of Aloha and to keep our unit in good condition, we ask that guests remove their shoes before entering our unit, and that they not bring bicycles inside the unit or store on the lanai. While our unit is equipped with cable and WIFI, Molokai is a remote island and does experience occasional cable and WIFI interruptions that we cannot control. If this occurs, we ask for your patience and understanding while attempts to resolve any issues are made.

Please ask for a copy of the full rules to be emailed to you before you book your stay. 1. All guests intending to use the pool area, tennis courts or barbecue grill area, other than those occupying a unit and signed in with the front office, must be accompanied by an Owner at all times. 2. Persons under age 14 are not permitted in the pool area, tennis courts or barbecue without direct adult supervision. No one under age 14 is permitted in the hot tub. 3. Nothing may be released or thrown from lanais, windows or condominium entrance areas. 4. Drying of laundry is not permitted over the side of the lanai railing. 5. No pets except service dogs are allowed on property. Service dogs must be registered with the front office and be under the control of their owner at all times. Service dogs must be fed inside the unit. 6. All trash must be bagged and deposited inside the dumpsters provided. Cardboard boxes are to be flattened and deposited in the area provided outside the front office. Do not leave trash outside of a dumpster at any time. 7. No fireworks or open fires are permitted on the property outside of designated barbecue areas. 8. Pool area is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. A competent, responsible adult swimmer must accompany all non-swimmers. ALL PERSONS SWIM AT THEIR OWN RISK. 9. Children who are not toilet trained must wear diapers designed for swimming. 10. No balls, toys, mats, or boards are allowed in the pool unless such items are used in a manner that will not interfere with other persons using or who wish to use the pool or pool area. Noodles are allowed in the pool. Water wings and vests for small children are permitted. 11. No rough play or behavior in the pool area is permitted. 12. Items of GLASS are NOT PERMITTED around or near the pool or hot tub
