Venue At The River serves as a place to gather for our family and friends to enjoy peaceful water views and our pavilion. Our little piece of paradise is ready for you!

(This rental is specific to the 1 bedroom "Guest House at The River" accommodation. We also have a "River House" unit available that sleeps up to 10 people and has its own private pavilion, dock, and fire pit. Please message us for more information.)

The space:
You will have private access to our second story guest home. Feel free to take a walk down to our pavilion and take in the water views. Guests have full access to the property. However, the main house is to remain private.

There are plenty of outdoor activities available based on the season of your stay. Guests love to take our kayaks across the river to bike or stroll on the Armstrong Trail, part of the Erie to Pittsburgh trail network. Swim in the spring-fed deep water off our dock or take in the sights and sounds of the forest on one of the many nearby hiking trails. Come back for deer season as access to state game lands is a short drive away from your door.

Other things to note:
Please keep in mind that there it is a 20 to 30 minute drive to the nearest grocery store from our property. Please take advantage of the shops at Hilltop Plaza (off the PA-268 West Kittanning exit) prior to arriving if you don't intend on having to leave once you have settled in.

Upon arrival, we ask that guests back their vehicle into the designated parking space marked by Venue At The River signage.

Late check out is available if requested prior to check-in and approved by host.

NOTE: Venue At The River is a riverfront property on the Allegheny River. This is a popular recreation area in the summer months, and there might be music and entertainment coming from neighboring guests and homes during the season.

In addition, we are a full-service event space! We look forward to hosting your next wedding, bridal shower, yoga retreat, music production session, or team building weekend. Special event pricing is available through www.venueattheriver.com.

Perfect Getaway

Absolutely no words can describe this getaway place. This cabin is perfect when you want to get away and just be in quiet/peace. Roy and Darlene are great hosts. They have a little patio down by the water where you can sit and enjoy the view. The cabin itself was super clean and exactly as described in the photos. Things you can do are sit on the deck overlooking the property, sit in the fire pit area, or stay down at the patio with music and great views. I liked this place so much we stayed an extra day because the views and home were simply amazing. I think you come here if you are looking to relax and get off the grid. Rain/snow/sunshine, you wont’ have a bad experience here. You also will enjoy delightful hosts that helped us with anything we had questions on. They also responded quickly and were super fun! I RATE THIS a 10/10 and will be making this a normal trip for us.

Roy (aka: River Roy) and I have been together for 20 years and have a wonderful blended family - Roy has 3 children and I have 4. We have been very blessed with compassionate, responsible, and fun loving adults who are each successful in their own paths in life.

We work hard and enjoy our time together, listening to our favorite music, boating, sporting clay shooting, snowmobiling, and spending time with friends.

Our riverfront properties make up Venue At The River, a full-service event venue on the shores of the Allegheny River. We have hosted weddings, birthdays, corporate events, Bar Mitzvahs, yoga retreats, music recording sessions, and many more. We love to meet new people and look forward to getting to share our space with you.
