First, let me tell you about the house.
It is HUGE- 5,250 Square feet. Is it a house or a villa? I’m not sure.
This is a luxury vacation rental.
Upon entering the house, you are greeted by a large open concept cathedral ceiling first floor. First floor showcases a professional chef kitchen with island and bar stools, large dining room table that easily fits 8, and two living rooms. Both living rooms have gas fire places. Also on the first floor, there is a laundry room and half bath. After you relax in the living room with large windows overlooking the lake, walk onto the spacious desk where you will find a gas grill and ample seating.
Climb the staircase to the second floor to explore 2 spacious bedrooms, both with walk in-closets. The master bedroom is extremely spacious with a full en-suite. The attached full bathroom has a stand up shower and a jetted tub.
Take the staircase to the basement, to explore yet a third living room! This living room has a wood fireplace. Two bedrooms are downstairs, along with a bar and full bathroom. Exit the basement doors to your second outdoor seating area, also with ample seating.
What did I forget? Oh- if your legs get tired from exploring the house, use the elevator! Yes, there is an elevator for adults and supervised children to use. If your feet get tired from your “vacation”, don’t worry, the floors downstairs and in the kitchen are heated!
The house has AC throughout and fans in each room.
The Lake- You have a large private dock. Paddle board and kayaks provided for you to explore this spacious motor boating lake. The house is in one of the cul-de-sac’s, so it is not busy with boats for the kids to swim.
Now, let me tell you about the Hideout, which is a 4 season 5-star community.
I’m not sure why you would want to leave the house, but if you do…..
You have access to:
-6 private lakes
- 2 Beaches
- 9 hole golf course
-ski hill with lift services (seasonal of course)
-bars & restaurants within the community
-2 pools
-tennis & basketball courts.
- art center (has ceramics and art/crafts for the kids)
- mini golf course

Now, I really don’t know why you would want to leave the Hideout but if you do:
The Hideout is also conveniently located within a few minutes to the Claws and Paws Zoo, horseback riding, paintball, and driving range. Approximately ten (10) minutes to a state park. Lake Wallenpaupack (THE BIG LAKE---yes it’s HUGE!!!!) is 10 minutes away and offers boat/tubing rentals, jet skiing, and marina facilities. We are just 15 minutes from great hiking at the Varden Conservation or Lackawanna Nature Preserve.
Small Print:
- You will need a fishing license to fish
- At the moment, we sleep 9 people max
- Only 4 cars are permitted.
- Only 3 un-related guests are allowed in the rental party.
- No guests beyond those registered with me are permitted.
- A security deposit will be required. Refunded as per the agreement.
- Penalties to breaking Hideout rules start at $1000 per day. (We won’t have a problem, unless you plan to have an all out bachelor party. Be respectful of your neighbors and no fireworks)
- Additional fees charged per the Community for certain amenity rentals: lift tickets, ski & snowboard rentals, ice skating rentals, golf rentals, and boat/kayak rentals.
- If you are looking to book dates between approx 10/15- 4/15 the association lowers the water level- the lake is hard mud in front of the house, as the water level is lowered for the winter.
- Guests do not have access to the dog park.
Should you wish to book, please submit a request, include the total # in your party and if you have any pets. (Large dogs are not permitted at this property at this time- we hope to allow in the future). Once I receive your request, I will contact you to set up a phone call to be sure your vacation needs match the rules of the community.
Should you have a felony, need not apply, per community rules.
It might seem overboard that I wish to speak to renters before acceptance, but I want both parties to have a successful transaction!

More small print: there are multiple outdoor security cameras. All aspects of the outside property is covered by cameras- including driveway, entry way, sides of the home, back deck , and lawn area. These are only monitored in regard to notice of theft or violation of community rules.
