The Nest offers guests two comfy bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, a newly remodeled bathroom with gorgeous tile, a super comfy living room and fully stocked kitchen! This adorable bungalow features a walkable location with all of KC top attractions right outside your front door. Walk to the Plaza, Westport, & 39th St or take a quick ride to other entertainment districts. The Nest has one private off street parking spot and additional free parking on the street in front of the home.


Host will not be on site during the stay but is just a phone call, text or email away.

HISTORY: Designed as the nation’s first suburban shopping district for the automobile, the Country Club Plaza was the vision of developer J.C. Nichols. Seeking to create a real estate development that captured the allure of Spanish marketplaces, Nichols purchased several small lots of land in a swampy and undeveloped area in 1907 and opened the Plaza’s first buildings in 1922. Originally nicknamed “Nichols’ Folly,” the Country Club Plaza’s Moorish architecture now features more than $1 million in artwork, comprised of the district’s fountains, murals and more than 30 statues.

WHERE TO GET LUNCH: With 30 restaurants and 17 outdoor dining venues, the Country Club Plaza offers a diverse dining landscape to busy shoppers. From Kansas City favorites like Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue and Gram & Dun to emerging places like Parkway Social Kitchen, Rye and The Oliver, there is something to suit every appetite and budget.

You will be able to access the entire home, backyard and basement which includes a full size washer and dryer.

Enjoy Kansas City with the best nesting spot! Feel at home while traveling for work or pleasure. The KC Nest offers two bedrooms and one full bathroom and one private off street parking spot. There is a private work space right off the living room and the home is equipped with high speed WIFI.

Each bedroom features a queen size pillow top bed with hotel style linens. A ceiling fan and plenty of storage space for your clothes and personal items. The master also includes an additional TV so you can kick back and relax.

This home features one full size bathroom with a shower/tub combo and features Tommy Bahama luxury bath products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Each guest will be provided with one wash cloth and one large bath towel, hand towels and dark make-up towels are provided for convenient make-up removal.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal including cookware, dishes and silverware. You can also enjoy takeout from one of many Kansas City Restaurants and store your leftovers in the stainless steel refrigerator!

The dining room features a large square table to seat four and a full coffee bar. Brew your coffee using one of the many options provided: Keurig Coffee machine, drip coffee maker, pour over or French press, along with coffee grounds, creamer and sugar!

Private driveway parking is included as well as street parking.

Spring Break

This is our second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time! It’s a charming house, so much to do in the neighborhood, and even great for dogs! Took lots of walks, and spent family time on the porch. Our toddler waved goodbye and said “bye bye KC house! See you next time!”

Easily accessible, pleasant neighborhood, comfortable amenities

We had a wonderful stay at this property for our multi-event family reunion. The location was great because events were both far south and far north of the city. The home was cute and comfortable and suited our needs in the kitchen and also was located near several good restaurants. We had someone successfully set up their work/office in the front room on our first day there. This property was appealing to both generations.

Awesome Spot for Our Visit!

We needed a home base for us and our dogs while visiting our adult twin daughters for their birthday weekend. This was great for that! Close to Westport and the plaza on a quiet street perfect for walking our dogs. They provided dog bowls, treats and bags for cleanup as a nice touch. Cozy, well decorated and outfitted! Loved the extensive coffee bar, tons of spices, nice cookware and seating for 6. One of the nights our daughters made dinner for us and we had a nice meal with them and their boyfriends and watched a movie (lots of streaming options). The floor space in the bedrooms was very limited, but we ended up each with our own bedroom. The bathroom was fairly small, but the configuration of the shower curtain made the shower surprisingly roomy and they provided lots of shelves and towels. We would definitely stay here again.

We will not be staying at this location again

This property is not kid friendly whatsoever. In the picture of the family room it shows a rug on the floor, however there is not a rug on the floor. This made it extremely difficult with our 6 month old who likes to lay on the floor. This space is not family friendly as it is quite crammed. The floor is extremely noisy when walking on it. We did not like the security of the place, the front door is so flimsy that someone could have easily broken in if they wanted to. Both mornings we woke up to a big black bag that had crawled from the garbage disposal into the kitchen sink. We did not appreciate the "bathroom etiquette" sign. When you have white bathroom towels, that is asking for an accident to happen. You have a rental property, you should not be charged if things aren't returned in the condition they were in when we arrived. In addition, it says all over that this property is walking distance to places. Just because it is walking distance, doesn't mean you should walk. It was very interesting seeing what we saw on our way to the property. We definitely did not feel comfortable walking to anything. We do not feel this was worth the money we spent renting it.
