Spacious and amazing views

We loved staying here. The spot was perfect and secluded but just a short drive to town. We had a few small issues but the staff handled it fast and efficiently. They were super friendly to deal with. We had plenty of space for the 10 people who stayed and felt very comfortable for the week.

Beachfront break

The house was well stocked and clean. We enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and the hot tub . It allowed everyone to have their own space. The elevator was very helpful for those having trouble with the stairs and it simplified getting the dogs out in the rain or at night. The management responded quickly to any questions or concerns.

Morning Glory Bliss

This property is in the perfect location. It is right on the ocean with amazing ocean views from most rooms. The screen room is the perfect spot for a glass of wine while listening to the waves crash ashore and feeling the ocean breeze. On cooler days there is a room with loads of windows with ocean views if you want to stay inside. The house was very clean and there was a starter set of shampoos, soaps, and lotion placed in every bathroom as well as a starter set with kitchen necessities. We did have a few issues- there was an electrical issue which made the water heater, thermostats and ice maker break but Cape and Coast was extremely fast with fixing. They were out right away and they were all fixed in less then 24 hours. Overall, we had a wonderful visit spending time with family on and off the beach. We would love to come back again sometime soon!

St George Island is lovely! We normally stay near port St Joe, but decided to try something different. The concept of “The Plantation” (which is the gated subdivision this house is in) is great! There are some great seafood restaurants on the island as well as in east end and appalachicola, all nearby. It’s a little irritating to have to stop and get your tag scanned at the gate every time you come back, but you did feel safe. On the house… Pros: Huge roomy home Well equipped Beautiful views Lovely area for kids, biking, walking etc… Beach right at your door almost! 2 pools to utilize very close to the house Elevator Everything worked in the kitchen Beautiful walks on the beach Lots of native plants Hot tub Had 3 HVAC units, 1 per floor, which was really nice! No one froze or burned up, we all had our own thermostat. Lots of screened in outdoor areas Cons: House needs TLC wasn’t as clean as it needed to be Lots of sand on the floors Lots of sand in the bunk beds. That told me they’re not washing or changing the sheets. I get it, they are a pain to work with, but it wasn’t my job to remove, wash and replace all the sheets. My kids weren’t going to sleep on sheets that might have not been washed for months. Drywall mishaps everywhere, mold on ceilings in master and bathroom Ppl who own homes on “The Plantation” can have/utilize golf carts/ATVs but not renters. Hot tub was pretty dirty (the pool guy said they never change the water, just add more chemicals, yuk) it foamed up so much when the jets were on that you couldn’t sit, the foam covered your mouth. The top floor master bed was very lumpy The rinse off shower in the garage didn’t work. Could barely get a dribble, def not enough to rinse squirming kids real fast. We used the water hose, which was close. I’d go back, but I’d definitely request they wash all the bedding. Also, they were preparing to install an in ground pool during the winter! That will be great! Hope the price doesn’t go up. The few times we had to call the managers they were very responsive. Be careful taking advantage of the beach equipment discount, (you’ll get a coupon in e mail after you book) it got a little sticky trying to deal with those ppl. They’re a little arrogant and inflexible. Overall the women and kids loved this spot, the husbands, not so much. Had a lot to do with the “golf carts for me but not for thee” rule.

Needs some tlc

Beautiful property has not been maintained as we expected for price. Greeted by black mold on upstairs ceilings and vents. Next morning, kitchen sink flooded all over the nice hardwood floors as the pipes underneath were not even connected! Following day we killed four cockroaches. Not a relaxing get away at all. The management company was responsive to these issues and did try to rectify them. Sent out pest control immediately. Mold in the ac system cannot be addressed quickly so beware. Sad, it’s a nice place, high quality furnishings, plenty of space.

Best Family Vacation

Morning Glory was the perfect place for my family to stay. there were a lot of us and we never felt cramped at all. The elevator was extremely helpful for my daughter who needs a wheelchair for assistance in mobility. We had a blast at this beautiful location. Everything was provided with the exception of a broom which was quickly remedied by the property manager. Everything was amazing and we will be back to the island next year!

Beautiful home and property!

We have been traveling to the Forgotten Coast since the early 2000s, and "Morning Glory" ranks among the finest homes we have experience. This home checks all the boxes: thirty feet from the beach (or so it seemed), spacious, and wonderfully designed and appointed. We will be back.

Fantastic Oceanfront House

We had a great stay. The part we liked the most were the porches and sunrooms. Super close to the beach and a very well-kept home. We loved everything about it. Only piece that could be a challenge for people are the stairs are a winding staircase, but there is a working elevator. Highly recommend!
