Great Location and View . . . Unit Itself Just OK
The location of the property was great, as was the oceanfront view. Pool and hot tub were very nice, and staff were friendly and helpful. Currently, only one of the three elevators at the Galvestonian are working and apparently it's been that way for the past month. This was pretty inconvenient with long waits up and down and did not allow for access to the lower level to walk to the beach. Since my spouse uses a scooter, this was a bit of a problem. Would not recommend the property in general until the situation is corrected. The bed in our unit was very uncomfortable, as was the pull out sleeper sofa, which was disappointing. It would be worth upgrading both for future guests.

We loved the condo and definitely will be back. Only thing we would say is that the lock on the door was very loose and needed to be fixed. Maybe more bath towels and kitchen towels would be small things. But overall was a wonderful weekend and will be back

Place was amazing! Trouble with VTrips Check In
The place was gorgeous, clean, & a great location with wonderful amenities. However, when we arrived, the reservation had been sent to the condos with the wrong identification informations (only my email matched). I wasn’t able to check in without trying to contact Ryson/Vtrips. They were after hours & once I did get ahold of someone they weren’t really able to help. The front desk at the property ended up letting me check in anyways while awaiting a call back from the management company. Which never came. Grateful to the Galvestonian for taking care of me in spite of the mix up. The company did text me the next day… but it was a little late since I would’ve been on the street if it weren’t for the front desk.

Misleading
Nice property, blinds broken, couldn’t see view of ocean. Even after property maintenance came, wrong chain installed, blind worked once and broke again. Plugs in master bedroom wire to light switch. Faucet falling out of kitchen Sink, fridge door not screwed in at bottom, bathroom fan sounds like a dozer running up the wall. Dishes were dirty, but the worst was the bed. Wife and I had to buy a 3” topper and put on bed while there. Be prepared you will be sleeping on the floor bed is so hard.

Galveston respit
The Galvestonian is a great place to stay! Close to the beach and the ship channel. Our room was great. The balcony overlooks the beach and you’re close enough to hear the waves and enjoy the views. Nice place to stay and escape the daily grind.

Great getaway
We stayed at this property 25 years ago, so we enjoyed a short getaway here. The upkeep and upgrades through the years are apparent. The beach is not crowded AT ALL this time of year and is easily accessed. Property personnel are SO helpful. All in all, a good experience.

Great place, but with some issues.
The Gavestonian property is great. There were some mechanical issues in the room that should be addressed. Such as a loose faucet, disconnected bed frame, and broken chains you need to close the blinds (i.e. no privacy). But, I'm planning on coming back next year. Hopefully, those things will be corrected by then.

This condo was one of the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Quieter as it was not a pool area. Furniture was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was quite comfortable. TV and sound bar were GREAT! The view couldn’t be better. It’s Excellent!

The complex and condo were both really nice. The location is great. The description of what is listed is accurate. I think the condo being managed by a company and so much of the description being for many properties doesn't allow for an accurate description of this particular property. Meaning I wish I had known I needed to pack a hair dryer and coffee grounds. I also didn't realize there wasn't a washer & dryer in the condo. Just things I wish I had known before packing. The condo was really nice and the location great!

This condo is very well decorated and designed. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was comfortable for our family of four. The view is spectacular and the amenities are top notch. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Well manicured grounds. The location is unbeatable as it is right on the beach. We plan to come back and make this our regular stay.

Great property and great location
The property is located on the east end of Galveston, and is part of a high-rise condo. It is a great place and it is exactly as advertised. Nicely appointed condo with all the capabilities of being able to cook. 10 minutes to almost anywhere on the east side of Galveston. 15 minutes to Gaidos, or any other place in the center of the island. Beautiful views, and highly recommended.

Clean, upscale condo with beautiful views
The condo has a nice upscale look and feel to it, and is well appointed. The location could not be better, with a private beach, great pool, and all the other amenities of The Galvestonian. We appreciated the dark blinds in the bedroom so we could sleep in. Also loved having a full-size coffee pot - filters supplied but not coffee. A couple of notes on things that did not matter to us, but might to you. There were not items like salt & pepper shakers, tin foil, and other things you might need for cooking (but there were pots and pans). There is not a TV in the bedroom. Overall, a wonderful stay in a wonderful condo, and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent condo/terrible property
The actual condo we were in was lovely and clean. If we never had to leave our room it would have been a fine stay. Unfortunately, the facility where the condo is, is not great. Super loud construction sounds all day, broken heater in pool, no laundry facilities as advertised, and most of the staff of the Galvestonian were not very friendly. I did contact the property manager about the issues, but did not receive a response.

Beautiful and quiet
The property was as listed. Check in was very simple, there are staff on site 24/7 to get you checked in/out and answer all your questions. Pool and hotub, tennis courts, picnic tables, charcoal grills all available. Would definitely stay here again

Fabulous facilities
Our stay was great. The pool, hot tub, and pool deck were very nice. The only disappointment was there were no laundry facilities. Apparently the condo owners association just decided that only owners are allowed to use the laundry facilities. Seems odd to me if they want to rent out their properties. Beside that, everything was great.

Wonderful, cozy condo. Perfect for couples. Mostly quiet til the last day (unsupervised kids). Nicely decorated condo with a great firm mattress. The grounds are gorgeous and the beach is well kept. Nice pool and hot tub; watch out for children hogging it. Only wish the Galvestonian still allowed the renters to use the laundry facilities. Try the laundromat at Broadway & 23rd. Overall, a lovely condo and a beautiful setting.
