Dies ist ein wunderschönes, maßgefertigtes Blockhaus außerhalb der Innenstadt von Seward. Die Vorbesitzer haben zehn Jahre damit verbracht, das Haus zu bauen und alle Baumstämme selbst zu fällen und von Hand zu schälen. Es ist ein wahres alaskisches Kunstwerk und es gibt nichts Vergleichbares in Seward.

Wir haben das Haus 2007 gekauft und wohnen in einer kleinen Wohnung über der freistehenden Garage auf dem Grundstück. Wir helfen Ihnen gerne mit lokalen Aktivitäten und Informationen und sorgen dafür, dass Sie das Beste aus Ihrem Urlaub herausholen können! Wir haben zwei Hunde, die bei uns wohnen und auf dem Hof spielen, aber im Blockhaus nicht erlaubt sind.

Dieses Haus bietet ein sehr komfortables Zuhause auf Reisen mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Die voll ausgestattete Küche steht zu Ihrer Verfügung. Es gibt große Gemeinschaftsräume - einen riesigen Schieferkamin mit Ledersofas, TV / Videorecorder / DVD / Highspeed-Internet-Computer / WLAN / Stereoanlage, einen Grill und einen Whirlpool auf der großen Vorderseite Deck, ein kleines überdachtes Achterdeck usw. Wir haben jetzt eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner für unsere Gäste - alle neu in 2017! Das Haus ist modern und sehr sauber, aber gemütlich und komfortabel. Beenden Sie Ihren Tag im Whirlpool oder grillen Sie Ihren frischen Fang, während Sie die Aussicht auf den Berg genießen. Alice vom Deck.

Very clean and well kept up with plenty of supplies. Common areas are huge for big groups. Owners were very accommodating for a couple of special request. Location is close to everything but still very private. Are group enjoyed this property.

A quiet retreat

A very comfortable and well organized home that includes amazing outdoor spaces to relax. Hot tub, fire pit and large deck give you plenty of areas to relax outside and breathe in the fresh air. Wendy was always available to provide some guidance and listen to our stories. Only a five minute drive to Seward. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect stay, very close to Seward

Our family of 8 adults had the best time staying at this cabin! It is even better than in the photos. Beds were comfy, lots of gathering spaces, very well-equipped. We especially loved the hot tub. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommend!

Inviting Home To Relax

Group of eight eager fisherman on a one week fun week of fishing from Wisconsin. Clean and comfortable home to use as a base for our adventures. Everything accurate on the listing description. Perfect retreat in Seward

This home was by far our favorite accommodation during our 12 day stay in Alaska. Bear Paw Lodge has been decorated and stocked very thoughtfully for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of space for our family, and everyone enjoyed the private hot tub on the deck. Having a washer and dryer in the house was very useful. The wifi was good and definitely the best we encountered during our trip (including Alyeska and multiple cabins). The location was quiet and peaceful and just a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go in the Seward area. We especially enjoyed the mama moose and her calves hanging out in the yard on the final morning of our stay. Thank you, Wendy!

This home is a beautiful log home. It accommodated our family of 6 comfortably. It had all the amenities that we needed. The hot tub was spectacular after a cool day on the water. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Seward in the future!

Amazing cabin, lovely Seward Experience

We had a wonderful stay in Wendy’s cabin! The home was spotless clean and incredibly comfortable. Laundry was fantastic, and we relaxed in front of the fireplace and in the hot tub. Wendy was very attentive and helped us book a tour too. And we even got to watch a moose meander in the backyard. What a gem; I wish I was still there!

Charming cabin

Welcomed with a plate of home made chocolate chip cookies. Clean, charming cabin with lots of history and character. Owners friendly and helpful. Plenty of room for spreading out, quite time when wanted. We enjoyed the hot tub. Clean. Everything we needed was provided plus extras to make it like coming home.

Beautiful Log Cabin in Seward

The cabin was gorgeous and the location was just so beautiful. It was super easy to find and the instructions were clear. For our large group the place was perfect and had all the amenities we might require. Wendy was so sweet and attentive to all the questions and queries the group might have had. Roomy and authentic Alaskan log cabin

Nine of us stayed here for my daughter's beach wedding in Seward in late August and it was the perfect Alaskan log cabin the large group. Lots of room to spread out, big kitchen with all the things you need to prepare meals, and a huge yard with a fire pit for smores. You couldn't ask for nicer host than Wendy. Even though they live on property, you would never know you had a neighbor, but she was always there if we had a question. She even took a video of a mama bear and her two cubs visiting our deck one day and shared it with us! Overall a great experience.

Amazing Home

This house was definitely one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. The home was beautiful, very clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner lives right next door and made us feel right at home. The property is also a 10 minute drive to Seward and has plenty of room for big families. I can’t say a bad thing about this property and hope to stay there again one day.

Above and beyond!

We were so happy with our stay at the Bear Paw Lodge! So much space and so many amenities. Perfect for our group of 10 adults. The abundance of towels, cups, plates were key! We loved having a movie available to wind down at night and being close to town but also out in the quiet neighborhood. Wendy was an excellent host and was very communicative! She also helped us book our glacier cruise adventure. We would be so happy to return to Seward again.

Perfect Seward stay

Bear Paw Lodge was the perfect space for our group of 7. Two families with 4 adults and 3 kids. The lodge was in a great location close to Seward and in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room for everyone including the kids. The lodge is super cozy and warm and we looked forward to coming home every day after adventuring. We loved the recycling bins and the Sonos speaker system

Cabin is beautiful! Much larger than it appears in photos. Cabin is extremely clean and well equiped with everything you may need to enjoy your stay. Great location to visit local attractions.

We've lived in Seward since 2002, and absolutely love the area and the people! We owned and operated Kayak Adventures Worldwide through the summer 2014 season, and during those years Bear Paw Lodge was run as a B & B. It was a great lodging option for our clients, and others traveling to the area. Now that we've transitioned away from running Kayak Adventures, we've turned our log home into a vacation rental.

One of our favorite parts of traveling is meeting all the wonderful people. By living on the property and running the lodge, we're able to bring that aspect of travel right to our own back yard! It's such a pleasure to meet the people who stay here, and to assist them in maximizing their time in Seward.

We love the outdoors... and whenever we're not working on projects around the house, you can find us hiking, biking, running, fishing, kayaking, or even strumming our instruments around a campfire. Life is good in Seward, and we hope to share that with you!!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We were both originally drawn to Seward for the kayaking and the lifestyle. Landing at Kayak Adventures in 2002, we quickly realized how much we loved sharing this natural playground with others. That winter we purchased the business, and decided to make Seward our home. We lived in the tiny kayak shop for five summers... sharing the space with many guides, customers, dogs, etc. In 2007, we decided it was time to find our own space. And so we found this log home! It needed lots of work, but was well-built and spoke to us immediately. In June 2007, we moved in and began running it as a B & B. In 2015, we transitioned to offering the home as a vacation rental.

The quality and beauty of construction, the feeling of warmth and home, the space and light, the deck and hot tub, the location... the list goes on and on. We knew this was the property for us the minute we walked through the door in 2007. We bought the house with the intention of sharing it with others, and it's truly perfect for traveling groups.
