Great place to evacuate!

Thai condo was fantastic for our group of 2 adults and 3 kids. Great location, stocked with many useful household items and directly across the street from the beach. Would nightly reccommend!

Is that even a mattress?

Overall the condo was on par with every other Casa del Mar unit we have stayed in before. However the mattresses on all of the beds except the bedroom were terrible. The bunk beds were especially bad - Worn to nearly flat, uncomfortable, and offered no support. The other highly irritating part of our stay is that the refrigerator was not cold upon arrival. Never have I ever experienced this before in any other beach rental. To expect people not to be able to use the refrigerator for a full day, which in our case was a third of our stay., is unacceptable. We will NOT be renting through Ryson again.

This condo was the perfect stay for our family. Loved how close it is to the beach. The walls werent paper thin. Overall we would stay there again!

Worst beds ever

great location. Beds are the wort ever, Ever been. Don't you dare to accommodate 6 people there. We were 4 and it was terrible. Owner should invest on this property.

Nice but lack organization

Property was nice however the beds were uncomfortable. The towels were not replaced and we still needed to pay to wash and dry our towels which in my opinion is ridiculous. The lighting in the bedroom was not good at all. We enjoyed our stay but the customer service needs to improve with the rental.

dirty / cramped / weird bug bites after sleeping

I know this place was listed as being for 6 people, but 6 people BARELY fit here. Only one person fits at a time in the "kitchen" (which had only a 1/8 cup measuring cup - no other sizes, non-stick pans, but only metal utensils, no sponge or scrub brush for the sink, no dishwasher, no coffee filters, and only 4 chairs for sitting down to eat, so we had to stand or take turns). The beds in the hallway were suuuuper-skinny and my 16-yr-old barely fit (he's 5'10"). The fold-out sofa bed was tilted and REALLY uncomfortable and the bed in the bedroom was wrapped with plastic, so it was noisy and made my sister sleep hot (sweaty), even with the A/C turned low. Some of the lights didn't work, so it was dark. The curtain rod in the bedroom wasn't attached to the wall properly, so keeping light out of the bedroom was difficult. The curtains in the living room were thin, too. The patio door didn't lock at all. The bathroom ceiling was gross with strings of dust hanging down. There weren't enough hooks / rods to hang all 6 towels and keep them straight. There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for the week. For 6 people. Add that to the grocery list (and paper towels, and coffee filters, and a nylon spatula). The pool (with the hot tub) was like a warm bathtub, so not very refreshing, and always super crowded with adults playing inappropriate music or cussing poolside. There were adults in the hot tub who really should have gotten a room for all the PDA they thought we needed to see. Worst of all is every morning, I woke up with new bug bites on my arms, legs, head, and neck. They're really itchy and might be bed bugs (I couldn't find any bugs, but the young bugs are tiny). If I brought home bed bugs and have to treat my own house, I'm gonna lose my mind. All in all, my worst VRBO experience ever. Was anything good? I guess the location was decent. The fridge stayed cold. The luggage carts were handy. The laundry rooms were helpful (even if it's $4 in quarters to wash one tiny load of laundry), and there's a vending machine on the 2nd floor that has helpful things like sunscreen, goggles, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets. I didn't use it, but I can see that being helpful late at night. There is a Kroger, Randall's, and Wal-Mart really close by, so you're not stranded in a wasteland. You could technically walk to the beach, but you have to cross the seawall and the drivers on GI are awful, so we never dared cross the street with 4 kids in tow.

Had a nice stay

Positives - Property was as advertised and is priced well. Very clean and had all of the things needed for a nice stay - lots of towels, smart TV, kitchen essentials. Only negatives - street noise was loud at times from the balcony since it faces the street. Also, the bedroom needs blackout curtains since the hallway light is on at all times.

4 day getaway

The condo was clean and fresh upon our arrival. Everything worked like it should. The location was conveniently located right across the road from the beach but the intersection was quite busy but manageable. The bedroom has a window that faced into the main hallway ( poor design in my opinion lol) the lights were so bright that at night it was very bright in the bedroom. Maybe getting some new blackout curtains and better blinds would fix that problem. We just hung a blanket over the curtain to help make it darker at night. Other than that we we had no issues and found everything to be like it was stated in the description. Great weekend in Galveston with our kids.
