Sister to the Oyster Cottage (wheelchair accessible, vrbo#3508084). Cute, cozy, and comfortable…..Enjoy the convenience of our city center Pelican Cottage in the heart of Crawfordville. We love pets, but we’re not accepting pets at this time. St. Marks, Shell Point, and Panacea are just south, and St. George/Apalachicola are one hour west. Tallahassee is 30 minutes north.
Zap Zap Thai Kitchen, Taste of Mexico, and Subway are across the street, and Myra Jean's, Lex & Roll, and the Breakfast Station are just a short drive. If you love coffee like we do, try Atlas, Brewed by the Dude, or Wild Ox. They each are excellent in unique ways and serve locally roasted coffee. Please enjoy seasonal Meyer lemons, kumquats, blueberries, crab apples, pears, persimmons, & figs from the orchard.
Paddle the spring fed Wakulla River from TNT canoe rental 15 minutes southeast or visit Wakulla Springs State Park for a step back in time. St. Marks Wildlife Refuge and Lighthouse are also close by and a popular saltwater fishing spot. Cool off swimming in beautiful clear Emerald Sink off Lighthouse Road.

Home Away From Home

This quaint cottage has all the amenities you need and then some. The home is very clean, well stocked, convenient to FSU and day trips to the coast. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and truly provide for a great experience.

We really appreciated the coffee, tea, and spices available. Didn't have to bring from home. Very clean. Management teams always give me a quick reply. Offered great dining options. And things to check out while in the area.

Convenient location, property well maintained, have an orchard with variety of fruit to pick, cottage cozy very clean. Stocked with everything you need. Yard games & indoor games, books to read. Hosts Kevin & Rena did a wonderful job with this cottage. Hosts contacted us before we arrived & making sure if we needed anything to let them know. Everything we wanted, more than we needed

My 8/10 year old children and I stayed at the Pelican Cottage for 7 days/6 nights during Spring Break. The hosts communicated well before hand and made us feel so welcome. The kids enjoyed the mini golf course in the yard and the corn hole boards. The location could not have been better. Great coffee shop right around the corner, sushi & thai food directly across the street within walking distance. We enjoyed St. George Island and Shell Point beach during our stay. The cottage was super clean, and the host even had a cold beer in the fridge and waters for the kids upon our arrival. The cottage looks super cute, well decorated, and made me feel at home on the forgotten coast of Florida. 10/10 and we will definitely be back next year. Thanks Kevin and Rena for an unforgettable vacation destination, we all loved it.

Wonderful cottage that is charming and well maintained

This older cottage is in immaculate condition, well outfitted with great wifi, television, and kitchen. The owners were very attentive and concerned that everything in our visit was satisfactory and delivered beyond expectations. It is the little details that count the most, and they covered each and every one of them down to games to play and books to read. We will definitely be booking again in the future when we come down to visit family.

Quaint gem!

Stayed at Pelican Cottage while spending time with our FSU student. The cottage was adorable, spotless, and conveniently located to awesome outdoor activities. We are a husband, wife, and two school age boys currently living in my home town of Tallahassee. We love the Forgotten Coast, and spend most of our staycations between St. Marks, Crawfordville, and Apalachicola, doing everything from fishing, snorkeling, scalloping, wind-surfing, canoeing, paddle-boarding, antiquing, and of course working to fuel our passions.

We fell in love with 5 High Drive when we viewed it in 2021 with our realtor. The location is unique in that the property is nestled in the heart of Crawfordville. When the church lights are on behind us it's beautiful seeing the stained glass lit up, as well as the church steeple, and the historic Chamber of Commerce building (which is amazing at sunset, and has a mullet on the steeple). Crawfordville and the Forgotten Coast provide such unique adventure opportunities with something for everyone. We love providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience in the heart of all the area has to offer. Please enjoy seasonal fruit from the orchard, and be sure to walk to the original courthouse and original jail (museum with a night time jailer visible in the upstairs window after dark).
