We're here for you during your stay but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival. We are happy to assist via phone or through Airbnb before, during or after your stay.
Once a week, one of our team members will stop by the property to put out the trash cans, replenish our supplies, and restock sheets and/or towels. They will NOT enter the home. They have access to the garage or shed with a code. This day may or may not fall during your stay.

We are accessible year-round. Our cabin is located on a county road that gets plowed when there's snow but we still recommend AWD/4x4 with good tire tread in the snowy months (generally December to April). Winter driving conditions on the highways leading to the cabin can change in very short amounts of time. We recommend checking the conditions before you start driving our way and plan accordingly. Colorado has some specific winter driving laws pertaining to tire requirements. The fine for violating the traction law is pretty expensive so we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the law before driving during the winter.
Speaking of snow, this is the Colorado Rockies so be prepared! We do our best to plow the area in front of the cabin and shovel the walkway. However, the remote nature of this place can make these tasks delayed. We do provide a shovel in case you need to clear a path.
At The Stargazer Chalet, tranquility and adventure await you. This uniquely remote getaway is located in the Twin Lakes Historic Village - recently named "Colorado's Prettiest Town" by the Denver Post. Nestled deep within a National Forest at the base of the Rocky's tallest mountains, you’ll stay within walking distance to trails that lead to rivers, beaches, lakes, historic sites and many untamed, magnificent natural wonders. Offering the best views in the state and immediate access to the wilderness just outside your door, this cabin will allow you to enjoy the wild, tranquil beauty like never before.
Whether you are visiting the area to climb a nearby 14er, seeking a romantic getaway or just want to frolic in the Lake (or on the ice!), this cozy cabin will accommodate your every need. This rustic and historic cabin has just been upgraded and renovated to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
