Very roomy!

We reallly didn’t fully utilize the property. Family in the area so we were with them. Wasn’t the greatest weather but not the owners fault. It would be my recommendation to fully air condition the place versus 3 units. Bedrooms would get pretty warm at night. Thankful I brought a fan and one was with the place. A few minor things that need fixing - cabinet door fell off and just missed my foot. Ongoing issues with TV but the living room one worked consistently. Batteries missing from remotes and one remote missing - housekeeper should check this before new people come in. Difficult to figure out when you have to use 2 remotes. I thought the house would be much closer to the water - a bit of a walk out there especially having had several knee surgeries. There should be some type of warning tape when there are step downs from one room to the other in the house - also not good for knees issues. Owner’s friend was very responsive which was greatly appreciated. Houses in this area are very close together. Many places to sleep so would work well for a couple of families to rent together.

Nice Family Vacation

Great time with family hanging out for a long weekend! Loved the game room and living areas. Note many of the rooms are on different levels from each other (one step up/down or a small partial step) - not a problem for our group but could be for others.

Perfect getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! Plenty of room inside to not feel crowded and outside was great with the fenced in yard to throw the ball for our dog and play other games with the family. Everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock and watching boats drive by. Extremely relaxing. Would book again. Thank you!

Beautiful home

This is the most well maintained VRBO that I have experienced. Everything worked, the quality of kitchen supplies were much better than usual and even though it was on a river there were no bugs. The river was very low during our stay so we couldn't swim off the dock. The ladder on our dock and all of the docks around didn't reach the water, which is obviously no fault of the owner. There was a lovely swimming beach very nearby. My teenagers had an absolute blast catching types of fish that we don't have in Missouri. That said, there are multiple signs on the property to reflect the neighbors space. Those are there for a reason, there is one neighbor that watches like a hawk. The docks are close together. My 8 yo had a sloppy cast while fishing and his hook stuck in their dock. NONE of this is the owners control, but the neighbor was very unpleasant and let us know that he really dislike living next to the rental. So, if fishing with little ones, I would probably visit a public area. There was some disagreement at checkout, but it has been respectful. I would always suggest accidental damage insurance because what is no big deal to a mom of 5, can be a big deal to someone else. Also, take pictures at arrival and checkout. It's a good thing to do anyway (but i didn't!) and can save everyone the debate later. We rented a boat while there as well. We had never visited the Great Lakes area and really enjoyed ourselves.

Nice property and location

We recently stayed at this property in the off-season as an alternative to the hotels in the area. We were happy with the property and the location. Chelsea was a great host and provided a nice assortment of little touches that we have never had before at a rental property. Our kids enjoyed the game room and would have had a blast on the river if it was during the summer. I would love to go back and stay during the peak season and take advantage of the outdoor space. This is one property that you can feel confident that the listing description and pictures will be in line with your expectations.

Great place to stay for our annual girls weekend

We had a great stay It was our annual girls weekend We all enjoyed our stay great location to the beach the park, party stores. The game room was a lot of fun. we also enjoyed sitting by the water star gazing was excellent . We would definitely stay here again. Our host was great I had a few questions and she helped me out with them. Place was nice and clean, inviting.. loved all the sleeping areas as well. I would definitely rent this place again !!

Loved the river house!

The red/orange chair on the deck in the main picture was a favorite of everyone in our group that sat in it! The house was clean and roomy enough for the 10 of us ranging in age from 9-68. The neighbor was very friendly and we had no issues.

5 star rental

This rental was everything we needed while staying and fishing the bay. The dock and easy access to the bay was awesome. The commercial grade fish cleaning station right outside the back slider door was a huge bonus. The rental was clean and very accommodating. Communication with the host could not have been better.

Perfect waterfront Home

We were greeted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. All the amenities provided blew us away. The Game/bonus room was perfect for the teens and the adults enjoyed the spacious backyard with deck, fire pit, And dock. Chelsea was a gracious host and was there to answer any questions. The comments in past reviews about privacy and doors , all has been fixed and everyone had a private room and all bathrooms private. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!

A lovely getaway, with a few quirks

This is a lovely place to get away from it all. The access to the river is wonderful, the bar area is a nice additional gathering spot, and the main areas are big enough to accommodate a nice board game or a family dinner. It is clear the location has been expanded a few times, which has left it with some quirks. One bedroom is accessed through a bathroom, and another only has saloon style doors. Not an issue for my group, and overall we loved our time there and will likely rent again.

Could be okay for others but didn't work for us

It could be a good spot for a family with several small children where privacy is not an issue. It really depends on what you are looking for whether this property will work for you. I do not mean to be ugly with my review I just mean to make others aware of some things that were a problem for us. Only 1 of the 4 bedrooms have doors and that one opened into the bathroom. The king bedroom is a loft area so it is okay not to have a door but the room with 2 queen beds is a converted porch that was closed in and for a door has café style quarter doors. My daughter and her husband were not happy to be given a room with zero privacy. Also it was hard to have someone in the bedroom with the door because you cannot enter or exit the room when someone is using the bathroom/shower. Be aware during the hotter months that the AC units are wall mounted and only the upstairs bedroom has one. The other bedrooms were quite hot and stuffy. There is a unit in the dining area and the living room but they do not really cool the bedrooms. If anyone has a fear of spiders it may be an issue for you. The outdoor areas are obviously popular for the spiders. I do understand being on a river and being in nature but there were so many active webs on the back patio that we were not able to use it. The bonus shed area was also a popular spot for spiders around the outside and when we opened the door we were met with a wall of mold smell so I confess we did not go in.
