Snug in the western NC mountains, just off a scenic byway, this 1940s hideaway lies waiting for you to discover it. Gypsy Cottage is the perfect setting for free spirits who appreciate small wonders, like antique stained glass windows and tree-shaded rocking chairs. With two full bedroom suites and zen spaces both indoors and out, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for blissed out relaxation. Excitement beckons just a few miles away, from vibrant downtowns to winding mountain trails.
*The Cottage is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Tryon International Equestrian Center.*
Cottage guests have exclusive and private access to the entire property. This includes both en-suites, the living room, surname, laundry, dining, and all guests are welcome to full use of the kitchen during their stay. Guests are also welcomed and encouraged to use the outdoor spaces, which includes several sitting and outdoor dining areas, and a large fire pit area, complete with Adirondack chairs for late nights fireside. Please make yourselves at home.
Gypsy Cottage has kept its soul throughout the decades with details including a reclaimed wood interior, original flooring and diamond lattice windows. Slow down and experience small moments of enchantment—like watching evening light slant through stained glass or listening to raindrops patter on the metal roof. Enjoy some smores around the FirePit under a starry night's sky.
Greet the morning with sun salutations on the enclosed porch. Or sneak out to sip your morning coffee in the tucked-away outdoor sitting area, where the stone garden gnomes will keep you company.
Before you set off on the day’s big adventure, make breakfast in a sun-drenched kitchen with a full set of appliances. An 1830s-armoire-turned-pantry and lofted dining area with aged patina accents make even the most ordinary of mornings just a bit more charming.
Rainy afternoons are best spent curled up in an overstuffed armchair in the living area with a movie on the flat-screen TV. Or pass the time by with a book or board game—you’ll find plenty of options in the antique hutch. Evenings are made for gathering around the firepit while the moon peeks out overhead.
With two separate queen-size suites, each with soothing palettes and full en-suite bathrooms, it won’t take long for everyone in your group to feel right at home here.
