This will be your home away from home in the quiet countryside with beautiful sunrises, sunsets, & open skies. Enjoy plenty of birdsong & fresh air!

Perfect for those driving through on 81/76 for a one-night stay and those looking to stay multiple nights to visit family or area attractions.

Bring your dogs to enjoy the huge fenced in yard. We can also accommodate medium to large farm animals in our fenced in pasture just a few yards from the house. Contact us to learn more!

Kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials you need to cook a proper meal including, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. Enjoy dinner under the covered pergola and a drink by the fire after the sun goes down. Or, use the grill on the deck to make steaks!

Shed on the property is fully equipped with camp chairs, lawn games, medium travel cooler, and more for our guests to use. Fill up a wheelbarrow of wood for $20 to enjoy the fire pit.

Roku TV in the living room and comfortable pull out sofa to sleep an additional person. Wifi access, plus plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained.

Pack 'n play, high chair, booster seat, and toys are available for families visiting with young children.

All linens and towels provided. Bathrooms have shampoo and soap for guests as well.

We are located 25-45 minutes away from many area attractions and destinations.

Perfect for Dogs.

The place is spacious and the backyard is PERFECT. Its all fenced in so you can enjoy your Dog instead of worrying they'll escape, The pavilion was perfect for morning coffee in the rain, The firepit and chairs were cozy. The bed was super cozy. Id definitely stay again, Oh and there are so many different birds out back.

Wonderful

We traveled from Georgia to visit family in the area. This house was perfect for everything we needed! The fenced in backyard was perfect. We were able to bring my dog and he had a safe area to play. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. Answered any questions we had. Highly recommend!

A Cozy Gem!

Such a great experience staying at this comfortable, impeccably maintained home. Lovely extras provided by gracious hosts made our experience extra special ... like having snacks and frozen pizzas available (which came in very handy since we were snowed in one of the days we were there.) Our fur baby loved the fenced-in property where he was free to roam off-leash. Hosts immediately responded to our inquiries. All in all a very great experience. We definitely plan on coming back.

an enjoyable stay

The property was absolutely fantastic. Everything that was shown online and better our dogs ramped around the yard. We were able to sit out on the deck and watch them restaurants and the Carlyle auction show wish we were attending. We’re just minutes away we will be staying there again.

Very nice & pet friendly

We were very happy to have a nice place to stay for an out-of-town wedding. Leaving our dog at home was out of the question. The property was very clean, and had everything we needed for ourselves and our dog. We would stay again, no question about that.

So dog friendly!!! Traveling with dogs is never an easy chore and to try to find a nice place that accepts dogs as hard. This hostess posted a huge fenced in backyard, but it wasn’t understatement! It was absolutely beautiful with beautiful views beautiful backyard to relax in. My dogs were so happy to get out and run around after being cooped up in the back Seat of a truck all day. I tried to find dog treats at gas stations along the way and no one had any, but of course I got there and she had dog treats for the dogs in the closet!! awesome! Amount of snacks and treats and food for us was perfect because we were too tired to go anywhere so we had some frozen pizza. We had a nice comfortable rest and on the road the next morning. Thank you very much!!

Mini-reunion

Two friends and I stayed at this house for our own mini-college reunion. The house was perfect for our needs. Three good bedrooms and two baths, a decent sized kitchen with a good selection of pots and pans (we cooked two dinners and breakfasts), a nice deck and a large fenced-in yard (one of us brought a dog). The house was very clean. The owners also left a free selection of snacks and some frozen meals. We didn't need these items, but it was a nice touch. If you are visiting a child or attending an event at Dickinson College, but don't want to stay in Carlisle-proper, this is a great alternative.

Exactly what we needed

We were up to visit our daughter at Dickinson college and needed a place that takes dogs. About 15-20 minutes from the college, this house had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Great yard for the dog to run around. Well equipped, great communication from the owner and directions in the house. We felt right at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Hidden Gem for lovers of their dog!

Everything you need for your dog is here!!! Oh yes humans too! Excellent house located out of the way but if you travel with your pups having a fenced in backyard, doggie door, ample room to run & roam. Great state parks nearby with hiking, short drives to Hersey, Gettysburg, Harrisburg & all those great towns in between! Freezer filled with late night treats for humans, dog treats with water bowls, wasn’t a thing missing. It sure beat paying hotel surcharges for pets…if you travel with your pets..put this one on your list! We will be back!!! Thank you Tanya!!!

Fridge and freezer are stocked with frozen pizza, waffles and ice cream treats as well as water and creamer for coffee. The description is as it reads on listing. Beautiful property

Our stay was wonderful! The property is even more beautiful than the pictures. The house was clean and stocked with snacks and frozen pizzas. After a long day at the corvette show in Carlisle we were too tired to find a place to eat so coming back to those pizzas was very nice. This was by far the best experience I’ve had with a VRBO. I would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to the area if the peace and quiet of the countryside is what you’re looking for.

What a great place!

I stayed one night while traveling long distance with my Shepherd. What a perfect place! Great big beautiful yard fenced in. Patio with pavilion for shade and when it rains. Out in the country with nice roads to walk down. Big driveway area and basement parking if you wanted. Very clean, well cared for with nice landscaping. Biggest thing that I loved was how welcome I felt for me and my dog. Already had dog bowls out, had dog treats, plenty of snacks, ice cream cones in the freezer, frozen dinner and pizza also. What a perfect place for a night or a whole week. Fair price also! 5 stars and thank you for being such a great Host!!

Hi, my name is Tanya. I love to cook, garden, read, and travel as much as I can. In our spare time our family dabbles in being hobby farmers on our 6 acre property where we've raised steers, chickens, and grown our gardens.

This is the first house that my husband I bought together and we were married on the property nearly 10 years ago. We now live up the hill next door with our family. We are excited to share our cozy home and relaxing property with guests and their families.

We live next door and keep to ourselves but are available if guests need us. You may hear our kids playing outside or see us doing work on the property or garden when the weather is nice.

This is a rural location and very private. There is a local park and playground less than a 5 minute drive away. Grocery store, Dollar General, two pizza shops, diner, Rite Aid and two gas stations are also only a 5 minute drive away.

We are close to several state parks such as Little Buffalo State Park, Gifford Pinchot, Colonel Denning, to name a few. There are also several spots to pick up the Appalachian Trail.

There is plenty to do in all directions within 30-45 minutes away including farmer markets, wineries, the Army War College, Dickinson College, Carlisle Fairgrounds and Events, Carlisle Expo Center, PA Farm Show Complex, Hershey Park, Giant Center and more.
