Common Concerns:
*Road conditions: Our cabin is on a paved road, but it is steep. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to the cabin, please feel free to ask us! Our cabin does not require a 4 wheel drive under NORMAL weather conditions.
*Well Water: Our cabin is on a well water system. Well water here in the Smoky Mountains sometimes has a different feel to it and often times a slight sulfur smell. A brown color is not common but can occur. Well water is safe to drink and to use for bathing and cooking. We have water systems in place to help such as pumps and softeners but keep in mind it may smell and feel different than the water you are use to. Also, the well takes time to recoup itself after a lot of water has been used. This is a common problem in this area and there are times when you may have to use water sparingly or wait for the water pressure to rebuild.
*TV & WiFi: We have smart TVs in all rooms and WiFi at the cabin. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains or trees will cause problems with the signal. We always want our guest to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pest & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. Our cabin is treated monthly for pests, but there are times you will still find bugs. Please let us know if there is an excess and they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach wildlife of any kind. This is their home and we are the visitors.
