The two-story Silver Fox Lodge features hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a game room, and four en suite bedrooms. Breathe the fresh air and take in the mountain views from three separate outdoor spaces. The spacious second-story deck is complete with a bistro table and two chairs. Each bedroom has direct access to one of the decks. Fire up the grill in the picnic area as the sun sets. Drive one mile to downtown Gatlinburg and explore local culinary gems and family-fun activities, including an aquarium, water park, rope course, zip lines, and museums. Spend the day on the slopes at Ober Gatlinburg, a combined ski resort and amusement park. Then, enjoy an evening of entertainment at the Gatlinburg Space Needle with an observation deck, arcade, and movie theater. Explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and stop by the Sugarland Visitor Center, four miles from home.

Kick back on the couch or sofa bed in the living room and enjoy a movie on the 48” LED smart TV. A plush armchair offers a relaxing seat by the electric fireplace. Play games downstairs in the bonus living room equipped with another sofa bed, a 48” LED smart TV, a pool table, and two arcade games. Craft a beverage at the wet bar before heading to the lower deck. The well-equipped kitchen has a full suite of stainless steel appliances and ample cabinet storage. Gather for festive vacation meals at the dining table.

The primary suite is outfitted with an electric fireplace and a walk-in closet. Three bedrooms have TVs.

GREAT CABIN/GREAT VIEW

ALL IN ALL, WE HAD A FABULOUS TIME. THE CABIN DONE JUST AS WE HAD HOPED FOR. WE ALL HAD BEDS TO SLEEP IN. WE ATE 3 MEALS A DAY THERE. PLENTY OF SHOWERS SO THAT OUR GROUP OF 11 WERE NOT CONSTATNLY WAITING ON SHOWERS. PLENTY OF ACTIVITIES IN THE HOUSE FOR THE TEENAGERS TO DO WHILE THE ADULTS WERE COOKING OR RELAXING WATCHING TELEVISION IN THE EVENINGS SINCE THE HOT TUB WAS NOT WORKING THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. COULD USE A FEW MORE POTS AND PANS FOR LARGER GROUPS SINCE THE CABIN SAYS IT CAN SLEEP 16 COMFORTABLY, SO THAT YOU CAN COOK FOR 16 EASILY. BUT ALL IN ALL, IT WAS A GOOD TRIP.

Cómoda y bonita.

Empiezo con las cosas buenas. Es linda, muy iluminada, tiene lo necesario en la cocina, los cuartos son perfectos, los baños grandes, todo funcionaba perfectamente, las toallas limpias y suficientes, vimos muchos osos. Lo malo. La subida da miedo, es muy empinado pero es normal en gatlinburg; las cosas de la cocina se veían sucias, la cafetera, la tostadora y la plancha para calentar estaban terribles de sucias. Nos tocó lavar todo antes de usarlo, la olla que más necesitamos estaba totalmente torcida, la cortina plástica de la ducha de abajo estaba terriblemente sucia, el resto se veía muy limpio, encontré 2 cucarachas en ese mismo baño, la cobija del cuarto de juegos olía terrible y 2 de mis hijos amanecieron picados todo el cuerpo y no se que animal pudo ser. Pero tiene muchísimas picaduras en los brazos, cuello, piernas y espalda. El televisor de la sala principal funcionó perfecto. Los televisores de los cuartos son de 14 pulgadas, demasiado pequeños y no pude hacerlos funcionar.

Roach Infested Cabin

I did not enjoy my stay at all.I spent my time chasing and killing nasty roaches! I called and text the customer service no one came to settle the issue of the roach infestation in the kitchen! I was told you send pictures and no one came after I sent pictures and videos of the crawling roahes.I couldn't enjoy our family meals together due to the roaches crawling on the table and all over the kitchen counters.

Good experience at Silver Fox

The cabin was clean, which was my main worry having never been there. the furniture in the living room was in good condition and the bedroom furniture the same. The only issues we had were with the television in the living room. We had to hook up the wifi router ourselves (it was unplugged and took a while to discover it). Plus there were two identical remotes that didn't seem to operate as they should have. The kitchen, while very clean and had good appliances, was not stocked with some basics like coffee filters, foil, and paper towels. We got those items at the store, which was very close. And there was a missing kitchen cabinet door, which was a bit unsightly. On the whole, we would definitely rent this cabin again. We really liked its cleanliness and its general condition.

Terrible customer service

The home itself was fine. We had no hot water for the majority of our stay and could get no one to fix it. We had to fix it our selves and the property manager would not reimburse us.

4.75 Great family reunion....room for all

as prior reviews stated the beds very comfortable,cabin well appointed lots of towels and accessories ....only a mild suggestion all the bathroom sinks drained very slowly...had to wait forever to drain so I could shave....maybe that was the issue. Saw a total of 11 bears that were there to greet us and to say bye.The road getting there was an adventure in itself.

A week in the mountains

The door off the double bedroom downstairs would not open the knob is about to fall off. The cob webs need to be swept away before we got there. The patio door by the game room would not lock. Beds were comfortable. Not enough trash space in the outdoor trash. Knives need to be sharpen. No broom I bought one. The corner cabinet would not shut without hitting it hard. The stairs were to loud. Love the view. The kitchen chairs are falling apart, one couldn’t even be used.

Unsatisfactory stay

Being a regular at cabins, this property is the most disappointing while being the most expensive. The were no condiments, down to the absolute basics (salt, pepper, sugar, oil etc). While this is not a required amenity, this is the first cabin where this simple courtesy was lacking. There was a single roll of paper towel for a two-day-stay for 15 guests. There was no utility closet. With four families with children, we didn’t have a broom to sweep the floor for basic cleaning. There was one vacuum cleaner in a closet, which was broken an unusable. The silverware was also inadequate. The management didn’t take into consideration the headcount. We had to handwash for every meal DURING the meal to cater to all of us. The kitchen sink, a bathroom sink, and a tub were clogged. We had to wait for them to drain after every use. The trash was not taken from the previous guest’s stay. It was full, and we had to jam ours in because it’s a bear country and we couldn’t leave it outside. And the biggest disappointment was the beds. At $446/night, we had to sleep in cheap motel quality spring mattresses. Every single bed was squeaky and wobbly, and the pillows were inadequate and flat. After the first night, we all woke up with sores and aches, and dreaded to sleep the next night. Highly disappointing, uncomfortable, and unsatisfactory stay. Would not recommend to anybody who is looking for a comfortable stay. I strongly suggest the management pay attention to the upkeep of the place, especially when you are charged high dollars per-night and even higher for fees and cleaning.

Black Bears

The address to the house needs to be corrected on google maps. the house was good from the inside, but both balconies were not cleaned. both sofa/beds were bad, one bed in one of the rooms downstairs also had spring problems on the mattress, and could not sleep on them. other than that it was awesome. we had to adjust and had a great time, we all saw three Black Bears. that was awesome. road to the house is a little steep. it was close to downtown. overall yes I would recommend anyone to rent this place. I would rent myself again too and most likely I will next year. communication was above and beyond.

No compassion

We were renting this cabin to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday with whole family . He collapsed 2 weeks before we were to go and had to have open heart surgery getting 5 bypasses . Vacasa would not change our dates even though no one had rented the place at all in October . Vacasa fees are higher than anyones on VRBO . You are lots better off renting from an individual. Only one daughter and her family got to go . I wouldn’t rent anything associated with VACASA

Cabin was very clean and beautiful. Had a problem with the hot water heater, but they fixed it quickly and even on a weekend. I will definitely stay again.

Parts of the cabin did not get cleaned. Dirty towels were left hanging in one of the bathrooms and it was hair on the sink and toilet. That made us wonder if the entire cabin had been cleaned or not.

4th stay at silver fix

We love the floor plan of this cabin. Lots of privacy for several families. The hot tub was awesome and we also like that we can walk into town. It is a bit of a rigorous walk but worth not worrying about parking.
