Aloha and welcome to our villa, Hale Nene at Waikoloa! Our villa is located 20 minutes north of the Kona Airport at Waikoloa Beach Resort, a central location from which to explore and enjoy the vast beauty and diversity of the Big Island. You'll enjoy the best weather on the island and will be just minutes from the top beaches, cultural attractions, shops, entertainment, luaus, and a wide variety of restaurants!

Hale Nene is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa located in the quiet and private Building I of Fairway Villas, a gated community that boasts beautiful landscaping, infinity pool, elevated lava rock spa with waterfall, fitness center, and grilling area. Fairway Villas is tucked away on the private shores of King's Lake and surrounded by a Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf course. Immediately outside the gate of Fairway Villas are the ancient Petroglyph Trails!

Hale Nene is newly furnished and decorated in relaxing island hues. You will find all new furniture (including award-winning Nectar mattresses), decorations, newly stocked kitchen, new range, new washer and dryer, new carpet, and more (please see list below with all upgrades). Our villa comfortably sleeps four. The master suite features a king size bed, smart TV, dresser, desk, ceiling fan, dual sinks, oversized soaking tub, glass enclosed shower, and walk-in closet. The second bedroom features two twin beds (which can be converted into a king upon request), smart TV, ceiling fan, and an adjacent full bathroom. A Pack N' Play and child's highchair are available for young children.

The fully equipped kitchen features stainless appliances, cherry wood cabinets, and granite countertops. All cookware, bakeware, small appliances, dishes, glassware, utensils, and silverware are included. The dining area boasts an exquisite, locally-made Hawaiian ear-pod dining table.

The living room includes comfortable seating, smart TV, and a variety of games for all ages. The living room opens to the lanai, overlooking the golf course. Enjoying morning coffee or gorgeous sunset views with an evening drink on the lanai may become a highlight of your vacation! Located on the ground floor, Hale Nene allows you to expand your outdoor living space to the grassy area beyond the lanai. This creates a very spacious and private feel to your hale. No stairs or waiting for an elevator!

Located within Waikoloa Beach Resort, a master-planned, internationally acclaimed resort destination, you have at your reach rich cultural activities, live entertainment, family activities, diverse and delicious cuisine, abundance of shopping options, water sports, world-renowned golf, and an abundance of shopping options!

Our hale is a short walk to King's Shops and Queen's Marketplace, where you will find a grocery store/market, variety of restaurants, and shopping. The resort houses Kohala Spa and Mandara Spa, where you can relax with a soothing massage, warm stone treatment, or other luxurious therapies. Waikoloa Beach Resort showcases over 30 different dining options to choose from. Enjoy coffee and a relaxing breakfast with unparalleled ocean views, or enjoy sunset, dinner, and drinks Lava Lava Beach Club. Discover the island's rich history while feasting at a lū'au.

Note: An InsureStays damage protection insurance policy is included upon booking. This policy is listed as the $27 "property fee," and covers up to $1,500 worth of accidental damages. In addition, a security deposit hold of $300 is required. This is a hold, not a charge, that is put on the Guest's credit card or debit card 2 days prior to arrival date and released 5 days after departure date. If there are any damages or missing items, these will be charged against the hold.

Superb family vacation
Our family of four (two adults, two teens) spent 10 nights at this property and could not have enjoyed it more. The condo is clean, well maintained, and modern. Having two full bathrooms worked well, and being able to use the washer and dryer during our extended stay was helpful. We utilized the cooler, beach chairs and umbrella, and towels on our many trips to the beach. We walked from the property to both the Kings Shops and Queens Marketplace, and the men in our family enjoyed a round of golf. We enjoyed the pool on multiple occasions. We prefer a location that is away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities, and that is quiet and relaxing at night. We were 100% satisfied with everything about our stay, and will book here again if we ever return to the Big Island.

Five (of the Many) Reasons to Stay at Hale Nene Waikoloa!
We had a fabulous four-night stay at Anna and Matt's Hale Nene Waikoloa condo! (1) The property owners and on-island manager responded quickly, clearly, and kindly from start (when we booked the unit) to finish (when our security deposit was returned in full shortly after departure). (2) The unit is recently renovated in a Hawaiian modern style (the pictures in the listing accurately reflect its appearance). (3) Having separate twin beds in the second bedroom was a huge draw for our family of four (with two elementary-aged kids). (4) The lanai closet (as of when we left) had a beach umbrella, four beach chairs, four boogie boards, sand toys, and snorkel equipment, perfect for beach days near and far from the condo. (5) The unit came equipped with extra towels for the beach and the community infinity pool, which was never crowded during our time there and provides a beautiful view at sunset of the golf course, lake, and nearby marketplace. Not sure when we'll be back on the Big Island, but this will be our first choice place to stay when we do!

Dreamy vacation at Hale Nene
We didn’t want to leave. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the cleanliness and well equipped unit. Smelled so fresh and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and I loved the addition of bathrobes was true luxury. Every morning we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee and view from the lanai. The amenities and proximity to the kings and queens shopping areas made everything so convenient. The kids loved the heated pool at the complex and I loved having a small gym for morning exercise and the beautiful 3 mile loop around waikoloa to run. I would definitely stay here again. Awesome Condo
This property was perfectly as described. It was conveniently located to many amenities. The kitchen had everything needed for easy cooking and the outdoor closest housed all sorts of beach gear. Perfect Stay on Big Island
We had a wonderful time at this villa. We chose this villa because of the tasteful decor, and we were pleased to see that the villa is just as lovely in person as it is in pictures. We stayed there for 4 nights with our 2 kids, ages 12 and 10, and we felt like we were at a high-end resort. Really thoughtful touches like comfortable beds, plush towels, and a fully-stocked kitchen with nice dishware and cookware really made the difference. We also loved using the beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkels that were in the outside closet, and played card games and board games from the cabinet. The location was great and we walked multiple times to Queen's Marketplace and the Kings Shops for shaved ice, poke, and loco moco. We would definitely stay here again.

We found the unit to be super clean, beautifully-made, well-equipped, modern and relaxing. We appreciated how baby friendly it was (playpen, highchair, etc.) and the quick accommodations made! My family enjoyed our entire stay at this unit. Great location, walking distance to the shops, the pool was perfect, and we had only short drives to family friendly beaches. There were beach items in the lanai closet so you can save space in your luggage and leave the beach chairs at home. Great communication with the hosts and appreciated the details provided. Our stay was incredible…everything was so thoughtfully considered in the condo. We had everything we needed! Communication was easy and expedient with our hosts upon check-in (I had missed an email with our login details). The gust book has so many helpful ideas and all the logistics with the home explained. We loved our time at this location as well. My 15 and 12 year old could walk to the shops or beach on their own — or we would go as a family and grab breakfast or watch the sunset. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming. The lanai was our favorite way to start or end our days as well, light trade winds and gorgeous scenery. The beds were super comfortable and we appreciated the blanket options. After the first night we realized a lighter blanket would work best vs the thick luxurious comforter and of course in the closet there was a couple of options. Lots of extra pillows too! The infinity pool was amazing … we were in it nearly every day. Quite large for a condo pool as well. The hot tub was great as well. The three favorite activities around the island: 4.5 hour snorkel on the Fair Wind 2 (Captain Cook monument), the night Manta snorkel and seeing the volcano erupt! This was by far the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had!
