A Newly renovated mid-century modern home built in 1971, in a quiet couldesac, Non-HOA neighborhood, with Mountain View, central location in Phoenix, 15 minutes N of Airport, 5 minutes from shopping, hiking, golfing, cycling, kayaking on Lake Pleasant!

***LOCATION

North Mountain area of North Phoenix.
Cave Creek GOLF COURSE is next door, attached to Cave Creek Park. North Mountain & Shaw Butte Mountain are just 5 minutes away, offering several hiking trails & spectacular views of the valley. Kayak rentals available at Lake Pleasant. Near GCU.
***THE HOME

This cozy rental is a private & separate suite within the home with a private entry for guests; it is NOT an Accessory Dwelling Unit; therefore it can’t offer cooking appliances as per city ordinance. **There may be guests or the host staying in the main separate suite next door; please feel free to inquire prior to booking. NOTE: sound can travel through the home, so please expect to hear some level of noise from the suite next door if guests or host is staying. The host is very responsive to any noise concerns.

***THE RENTAL

IDEAL FOR SHORT-TERM STAYS

This private hotel-like suite consists of 2 bedrooms (a queen bed in each bedroom) 1 full bath with tub, a kitchenette with full size refrigerator (no cooking appliances) small dining table seats 4 and cozy living area with TV (great room). This separate private suite has a private entrance at the FRONT of the home.

***PRIVATE PATIO ENTRY

This suite offers a security gate into a private enclosed patio with skylights, leading to the guest suite entrance. A cafe table with chairs is available on the private enclosed patio.

***SAFETY

The property is professionally monitored by Frontpoint Security System & features exterior cameras, indoor motion detectors, door and window sensors, and indoor glass break sensors. NO INDOOR CAMERAS.

***KITCHENETTE

The kitchenette includes a full size refrigerator, COLD WATER FRENCH DRAIN SINK, coffee maker, blender. THERE ARE NO COOKING APPLIANCES, NO DISHWASHER, NO FOOD DISPOSAL. The kitchenette is basically a wet bar. ***IDEAL FOR GUESTS WHO ORDER FOOD FOR DELIVERY OR WHO EAT OUT AT RESTAURANTS. Food items such as fruits, vegetables, salads, yogurt, cottage cheese, cold cuts, sandwiches, snacks, beverages can be stored in the full-size refrigerator. ***NOTE The guest suite is not a separate dwelling unit; it’s a private & separate suite in the home for guests & it can’t contain amenities allowing it to operate as a fully independent operational dwelling as per city ordinance, thus no cooking appliances. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.

***CHILDREN

The home is NOT appropriate for infants and young children under age 13 as per rules. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN UNDER AGE 13.

***THERMOSTAT

The smart thermostat is locked & adjusted remotely by the host. Guests may contact host to adjust thermostat if necessary.

***BACK YARD

The back yard features a desert landscape, Mountain View, covered pergola with sectional beneath, wood burning fire pit, dining area seating 4, and plenty of additional seating in the yard. Guests may use the tiki torches and table torches, fire pit & small table-top grill. There are fig & pomegranate trees in the back yard & guests may eat the fruit.

***LAUNDRY ROOM

The laundry room is SHARED. It’s located in the back yard off the back patio. It is separate from the house. There is no AC in the laundry room. A portable AC Unit is available in the laundry room.

PARKING

There are 2 parking spaces in the driveway in front of the garage and 1 space on the street in front of the home.

THIS PROPERTY IS PERMITTED BY THE CITY OF PHOENIX. The Short Term Rental Operating Permit number is STR-2024-000379.

The overall place was beautiful. But I wouldn't stay again due to the this walls. I know it stated that it was a shared residence but the noise factor was bad. We could hear doors opening and closing in the other house. Our son was in the room with the shared wall and could hear conversations.

I came with my daughter. She was here for 6 days on business . The property was absolutely perfect for the two of us. It's in a quiet and very welcoming neighborhood. Jan was a delight to work with. We plan on staying here again upoon our return.

Exactly what we needed!
This house was exactly what we needed! Perfect location close to family and with much needed upgrades from a hotel! Everything about the place was exacgly as described and Jenn was awesome to work with! My only suggestions would be to make it clear on the gray water sink that it is ok to drink the water and to break up the check in instructions better so it was easier to find all of the codes needed to get into the property. The front door also sticks and we had an issue once with not being able to unlock the door, but once we learned it sticks and you have to make sure to pull it tight REALLY hard, we had no more issues. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We really enjoyed our time there!

The rental unit is as advertised, clean, well maintained, nicely furnished. The host is responsive. There are a couple of things that could have been better explained. First, the unit is part of a duplex, there are people living in the other part of the house. Though they are separate, you can hear them often. Second, there is a 3" step down from the hallway to the living room, which is a tripping hazard in low light. Third, the park near the property is primarily occupied by homeless people, but we never saw them outside the park. The real issue for us was the rental contract. Reading on my phone, it's 23 pages of text filled with rules and precautions. Makes you feel like you're checking into a maximum security prison. Once inside, all was good though.

Peaceful in the desert
Everything was immaculate, and everything was thought of. It was comfortable and effortless to stay there. I highly recommend this rental. We were there for some taxing family business, and the home gave us a wonderful place to chill. Quiet, clean and well furnished. The outdoor seating area, though we only used it once was absolutely fabulous. This place is terrific.

Nice place with suitable space to relax and a great host!
I had a lot of trouble finding a place to stay the weekend with a good friend of mine. I was very thankful when I found this place, and it was well worth every penny. The house was spotless, and the overall environment felt comfortable and relaxing. The host was great and communicated very well with me, and answered all our questions and concerns. I wanted to be able to host guests. I began looking at homes when the Covid pandemic started. I was looking for a home that guests could enjoy during their stays in the Phoenix area. I really liked the floor plan of this mid-century modern ranch home (1971). I decided on this home & really enjoyed making it a nice place for guests to visit. I love that it’s near the mountains and that it’s located in a quiet culdesac. I really love that it’s only 5 minutes from great hiking with beautiful views of the city at the end of the hike. It’s centrally located in North Phoenix & only 15 minutes from the Airport. Lake Pleasant is a 30 minute drive with dining at Dillons Bayou along with boat & kayak rentals.

I’m an artist and I really enjoyed making this a nice place for guests to stay. I personally refurbished most of the furniture myself, I did most of the upgrades to the home myself. I care for the plants & yard myself. I put a lot of time into this home to make it nice for guests & I always want my guests to feel taken care of in this home.
