Easy Getaway with great hosts

My wife and I stayed in Carmel for our first time.Location and neighborhood is perfect. Not far from Safeway Grocery store to get the essentials.Check in was super easy and the communication with the host was instantaneous. We received many recommendations and guidance.Upon our arrival, we found a bottle of red wine waiting for us. :-) Coffee and water (sparkling and still) was also provided! The kitchenette is well stocked to make a sandwich or salad. The bed was comfortable. It is a queen size. We normally sleep in a King but for 4 nights we survived.The front yard is lovely and has plenty of options to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine.All in all we loved it and would come back someday!

Nice property, beautiful neighborhood

Very hospitable hosts. Provided coffee and other beverages. A couple suggestions: please provide a motion sensor light near the entry door - returned one evening, it was dark and struggled with the key for a few minutes (hands were full and could not access phone flashlight). Also, the mini fridge should have an “open here” sign, pointing to the left side - both my husband and I opened the door from the top and scraped our knuckles - ouch!

What a wonderful gem in Carmel! We remarked multiple times that this was the best equipped (from basic necessities like toothpaste to wonderful touches like a bottle of wine) VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. Couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

This is a lovely, confortable studio apartment, completely outfitted for your every need by David and Brenda- the ultimate hosts. We completely enjoyed our 2 nite stay, but Brenda’s tour of her beautiful garden made it extra special! As a studio, the unit has 1 Queen bed. The VRBO listing confused me, but that was probably because I was in a rush and did not stop to read it carefully. Just a warning for others who might suffer from my rushing malady!

We enjoyed our two-day stay at the Petite Papillon rustic studio in Carmel by the Sea. The hosts worked to ensure we enjoyed our stay by providing us with fresh fresh ground coffee, a bottle of chilled wine and numerous recommendations for dining, activities and sightseeing. The studio is conveniently located about 1/2 mile from the center of the village.

We stayed here for four nights. We slept well each night since the bed is very comfortable. We had private, offstreet parking and were in walking distance from downtown Carmel. The bathroom is large, with plenty of counter space and there is a large closet to stash your luggage out of sight. We looked forward to sitting on the patio but the rain kept us away. The hosts were very helpful with dining and activity suggestions. Overall, this rental was perfect for us.

I have only good things to say about this property and the hosts David and Brenda. The studio was exactly as described, well equipped and located, but what really sets this apart are the personal touches such as welcome note, wine and coffee and drinks, communication in general and tips on what to do etc. Would definitely stay here again, thank you David and Brenda for a memorable long weekend in beautiful Carmel

Absolute gem!

It was an amazing stay! Clean, cozy, and beautiful place. We enjoyed the garden, the high quality linens, coffee and wine provided by the hosts. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the Ocean Ave, which is a treat by itself. Very quiet neighborhood, very private, and did I mention clean? Amazing studio

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and also celebrating our own wedding anniversary, and this adorable studio apartment was the perfect getaway for us! It is so conveniently located to downtown Carmel by the Sea, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach and Big Sur. What a beautiful area to explore and delight in. The hosts provided great advice, information and recommendations about dining, hiking, wine tasting and the area in general - it was like having a personal tour guide! The studio was spacious and immaculate, and definitely passed the test for a great shower with plenty of hot water and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a VRBO! It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our long weekend. I would highly recommend it and will stay there again if we are ever in the area in the future.

Perfect Couples Getaway

The cottage and garden area is perfect for a couples getaway. The studio was very clean and private. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the kitchenette was perfect for preparing morning coffee and evening appetizers. Check-in/out is super easy. The studio is in a quiet neighborhood, but close to downtown and the beach. David and Brenda have truly thought of everything you would need when away from home, From a bottle of wine upon arrival to coffee, creamer, waters and other beverages. Truly magical!!

My husband and I were not able to arrive until late at night. Brenda had lights on and candles to light the walkway. Everything was clean and warm and inviting. Such attention to detail!! Bottle of wine waiting and French press coffee! It was an amazing location and communication with Brenda and David was seamless and prompt. We were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday, and we were so surprised to see a birthday balloon waiting on the gate when we returned from a day of golfing. So thoughtful! We loved every minute and will be back!

Fantastic cottage with beautiful gardens!

The moment you walk into the private gate you see beautiful gardens and a cozy French cottage. It is private and close to Ocean Avenue. Our hosts are wonderful and very responsive. Thank you David and Brenda for another beautiful stay and delicious wine also! We look forward to coming back again soon!
