Fun ski weekend getaway

A long weekend enjoyed with 3 families! Location was perfect! We enjoyed easy access to the ski slopes and tubing. Host was easy to work with. We can't wait to come back next year!

AWESOME GETAWAY

We enjoyed our stay at Land of Oz. The children and adults enjoyed the downstairs sitting area and game room. Plenty of room for all us beautiful location and great parking for four vehicles. There are a few minor things that needed fixing but over all great place!! The owner was always quick to respond to any concerns. Thanks for welcoming us into your home!!

It even included toys for the grandkids!!!

The place was great! We had our two married kids and our grandkids aged 7 months to 8yo. The game room was great but the toy trucks that are in the bedroom with the bunk beds were the real hit!! The place was really well stocked, clean and communication with the host was very great. We would definitely stay again!

Family friendly home

There were 6 adults and 3 kids on this week-end vacation and plenty of room for all of us. It's very family friendly, with safety features and loads to do for the kids. The basement is amazing, with a game room featuring basketball, pinball, mini shuffleboard, loads of toys and games, and a great theater room where we had a movie night! We enjoyed an evening on the deck with a gas firepit and used the grill (best one we've seen over the years at other rental houses) several times. The owner was great at communicating in a timely manner...when we experienced an issue, he responded quickly and took care of it. Kitchen was fully loaded with everything you'd need and we ate every meal there. Located close to grocery stores, beautiful parks in Banner Elk, Tweetsie, etc! We had a great time!

Great Layout and Location

Our group consisted of 3 families with kids ranging from 1 to 12 years of age. The layout of the house was great for the group. The host responded quickly to all questions, and the house was conveniently located to several area attractions. One thing to note, if staying during snowy/icy conditions you will need four wheel drive and/or tire chains.

Hidden Gem Winter retreat

very spacious home and perfect for kids/toddlers. location was close to everything (grandfather mountain / boone / blowing rock etc). the host was an excellent communicator. our stay involved over a foot of snow so our kids had a blast sledding the hills by the clubhouse. the host had on call a plow and salt service to ensure we had easy access to the driveway at all times. the only advice if you are travelling in the winter and there is snow/ice you absolutely need 4wd / chains to make it to the house. will definitely go back again next year!.

Amazing!!

With our family dynamic this house was absolutely amazing! We love to play cards so the size of the table was perfect! With the living room being close everyone was always right in the mix! Our family is close to eaxh other so the house worked! We loved the foen stairs for the little ones to play but also the big ones to play games and pool! Having bedrooms upstairs was perfect for our older ones. They didnt have to go up and down stairs! Also having everything kid/toddler proof was great with having stairs the baby gate was perfect! This house will hold special memories for us all!

Enjoyed our stay at Twin Cubs in Foscoe, NC

We had a great stay at Twin Cubs house in Foscoe, NC. Owner Eric was very helpful and responsive. The house was clean and aside from a couple things not working (fireplace and one of the TVs) it was a great stay. Owner was helpful in trying to help us figure it out but being a warmish weekend we didn't really need the fireplace anyway. Would have been nice ambiance though. We really loved that the bunk beds and game room were all downstairs, because the kids were able to all hang out downstairs and the adults were able to relax upstairs. Lots to do for the kids, pool table, video games, board games, darts, etc. Deck area was nice but there was not much of an area to have an open fire for the colder months. Overall we enjoyed our visit and it was close enough to all the activities that we wanted to do in the area. We also really loved the covered parking as it was raining on our check out day.

Great mountain experience

The house is very toddler friendly with outlet covers, stair gate, and toys to help occupy busy little hands. House has plenty of space for families. Communication with the property owner was outstanding and appreciated. With other homes nearby we still never really heard any noise, except for falling acorns. Tons of things to do in area. Would not hesitate to rebook if in the area again.

Twin Cubs Cabin Review

Property was accurate to pictures and description. We stayed with our 4 kids ages 8, 6, 3, and 16M. Downstairs was a perfect set up with older kids and they really enjoyed the toys and games. Baby gate was great for the stairs with the baby. House was clean and well stocked for cooking at home. Location was perfect to get to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather mountain easily. There are a few easy short hikes to do with kids near by (Otter Falls Trail and Crab Orchard Falls trail both within 20 mins).
