Cozy Bungalow Built in 1891 in NE Portland

Eliot is in a fantastic neighborhood, you can get downtown or to the Pearl District in mere minutes - walk to the Wonder Ballroom, great local cafés, and restaurants. After a day of exploring, craft meals in our fully stocked Kitchen, and relax on the large front porch and private backyard! Cozy and cute, you’ll have everything you need for your stay in Portland. Truly a gem!

Please note the house is roughly 800 square feet. There is a limit of 4 people due to the square footage. There are 3 seperate sleeping areas - two full beds and a pull out twin sofa.

Cozy Bungalow

This was the perfect location for the three of us who came to watch our son graduate from University of Portland over the weekend. It was so clean, the instructions for entry were very clear (which was helpful since our flight was delayed and we got in very early in the morning), and the location was great. Will definitely stay here again when we are back to visit next fall as our son will be in grad school next. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Amazing Restored Home

The 100 year old house is in a flawless and clean condition. It worked just great for our adult quiet weekend away from kids. The space was comfortable. Since it was winter, we didn’t use the backyard so we didn’t even look back there. Even though the house was located close to nice coffee shops and small nicer eateries, the biggest drawback was the limited parking that became a challenge at times. There is only street parking and it can be hard to come by. We never had to walk more than a block away. At the time, I had an injured knee and I wasn’t prepared for that. Nothing can be done about that so we made the best of it. There was always a concern that we always had to be aware of our surroundings. There was some nearby drug use while we were walking to and from our car. We minded our own business and there was never ever anything beyond that. We are just not used to that sort of thing. It didn’t put a damper on our weekend one bit. We did enjoy a lot of local food and coffee within a short drive. That’s what we wanted to begin with, and that’s what we got and we were completely happy.

Great, Tidy, Comfortable House

Everything was as we expected for our OSU gals weekend visit to Portland. Comfy, clean furnishings and linens; nice big kitchen. Great food and walking options are steps away. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Beautiful and comfortable little bungalow

What a great stay at Bungalow Betty. Super easy to check-in and great directions on how to work everything in the house. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well appointed with everything needed. If you're looking for a charming and beautiful spot in downtown Portland, would highly recommend!

Perfect!

We stayed here during a dance intensive at Datura and it was perfect! Easy walking distance, laundry and kitchen available, comfy beds. When we had questions the owner was very helpful and quick to respond. Will definitely stay here again if it’s available for the next intensive!

Perfect little getaway spot

Such a great way to experience the true personality of Portland! The house is adorable, perfect to feel at home in. The host is so responsive and nice. This little gem is tucked away in a neighborhood with beautiful trees and flowers. Up and rising with lots of great restaurants cute shops within walking distance. Central to lots of places to go in Portland. Super easy freeway access. Minutes to the airport and downtown. I’m already talking about going back and bringing my sister so we can do lots of touristy things, go thrifting and have fun!

Out of Town Camp Getaway

Spent the week in Portland for my daughter to attend camp. Bungalow Betty was a perfect retreat for the two of us. We were central to many resources and incredible food. After dinner we would read together out on the porch swing as the heat of the evening cooled down. Second the recommendation that came with the house to visit Pine State Biscuits! The space was perfect for me to telework in while my daughter was at camp all day. In particular we appreciated Bethany supplying a portable A/C unit to help keep the house cool during some 90 degree temps. Those kind of thoughtful details really cap off the experience. Also appreciated having an onsite washer/dryer since camp and the summer heat necessitated some additional cleaning during the week. Would love to stay here again in the future as we come back for future camps.

Perfect

We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every moment. The house has close access to stores & restaurants and is a quick drive to all PDX quadrants. The kitchen was well stocked so cooking was so easy. There's a washer & dryer which is a bonus. The house is small but really well laid out so we all had our own space and it's all been redone so it didn't feel like an old house. We had everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and was quick to provide something we requested. Overall it was a fantastic stay and I'd highly recommend this house & host!!

Best neighbourhood in the city!

For anyone travelling to Portland for the first time, this location is excellent. Steps away from so many fantastic neighbourhoods to explore. The apartment was cozy, clean + inviting, with easy checkin/checkout instructions. Bethany's communication was clear + she was easily accessible throughout our stay. 10/10 would visit again!

Great spot for our trip to Portland! The space was super accommodating for our group of three. Awesome backyard and front porch for hanging out in between exploring around the city.
