Super clean, not well stocked

The kitchen wasn’t well stocked, some of the patio furniture was falling apart, a few of the doors were falling off the hinges, a water pipe rattled most nights, and a few of the beds were very uncomfortable. But it was very clean and the host was easily reached.

South Mountain Retreat

We loved everything about this home including the quiet neighborhood, warm pool, and proximity to activities and dozens of food options. The home's layout gives everyone the option to gather together or find a quiet area for themselves, and the kitchen is spacious and well laid out. With three full bathrooms, our teenage girls had plenty of space and had to find something else to argue about. We also appreciated being able to use the garage, especially since it rained a couple of days.

Everything was excellent! So clean and beautiful. The pool was a little cool for us northerners but they quickly came and took care of it. We will definitely stay here again.

Great experience!

My first VRBO rental and I will definitely do it again. Check in was easy and this place is in a quiet neighborhood but close to the airport, groceries, restaurants, etc. Response was quick when we couldn't find the pool lights - definitely recommend staying at this property.

Nice house, amenities could be better

To start, the house is gorgeous. Positives: The showers are great. Plenty of towels, shampoo, and body wash, and water pressure. The outdoor patio area is great for entertaining. The house is spacious and clean, great for a couple looking to unwind. Negatives: The pool was heated, but not to the point where you could really go in, and in the handbook it states you will be charged if you raise the temperature. I'm sure it's much more enjoyable in the summer months. There is no ice maker, and no ice was on hand. This would be nice to have supplied by the rental agency. The back door lock sticks, so unless you have someone strong in the house, you won't be able to go out back easily or lock it back up. The door to the laundry room gets stuck on the track, meaning you can't go into the garage unless you really force it open, and we were afraid of breaking it. The primary reason for a rating of 3 is that there is ONE TV in the entire house, and where it's located the furniture is cheap IKEA not conducive for a family of 4 to watch it, as the other seating areas have their backs to the TV. For $600, you could install another TV in the master bedroom or one of the guest bedrooms so a family of 4 doesn't have to watch the same thing. Overall, nice house but there were a lot of 'nice to haves' that other VRBO homes take the extra time to supply to make the stay easier and more enjoyable.

A great family friendly stay and perfect location to get around Phoenix!

We loved this property! We had a great time and it had everything we needed for all 9 of us! My only suggestion is that it needed a large frying pan.

Good location

The home is a great basic stay option but we probably won’t return since there are a few missing items that we consider standard in renting a home. Those being TV’s in the main bedrooms, one tv in the whole house didn’t work for us. Hair dryers should be in each bathroom. While the dishes were plentiful there was no pizza pan or cutter. We were aware that the pool wasn’t heated and assumed it would be warm enough with the hot days but it was not.

Great Vacation Home

Our family of 6 spent three nights here and really enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find, close to the airport, near great shopping and outdoor hiking. The house was obviously newly renovated and very clean. It really was a perfect way to spend some quality time in the Phoenix sun. We swam, we grilled out, we watched the NCAA Mens Basketball tourney on the big screen. The complimentary bottle of wine and Kuerig coffee were a nice touch too.
