PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Greenhaven is light-filled, lower-ground floor apartment with private gated entrance that part of a listed (historically-recognized) 19th century townhouse opposite the 2.5 acre private garden of Eccleston Square. The apartment is newly refurbished with a mix of contemporary and antique décor. Sixteen foot high ceilings and large windows in the main living/dining area contribute to its very open, light and airy feel. There is also a small patio off the front entrance that's perfect for one or two people to enjoy a morning coffee or tea.
BEDS (3) & SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There is a double bed in the first bedroom, and a king-size sofa bed.. The 7-foot-long sofa bed can also serve as single bed for those to prefer not to open and close a sofa bed. There is also a 'bonus room' with a single bed.

ABOUT ECCLESTON SQUARE. A highly desirable place to both to live and visit, Eccleston Square -- a collection of beautiful 19th century townhouses built around a 2.3-acre garden square -- dates to the 1830s. At that time, the area was known as "Lower Belgravia" -- an extension of the Aristocratic enclave of "Belgravia" just a few blocks away. Winston Churchill moved to Eccleston Square a year after marrying Clementine Hozier, and their first two children, Diana and Randolph, were born here. Great location

This was in a great location, close to Victoria Station where we had to go to meet tour buses for a couple of our excursions. Also found restaurants within walking distance. The only thing I would caution about are the stairs. For older people dealing with suitcases it may be problematic.

Excellent Stay

Our family had an excellent stay! We couldn’t have asked for a better central location close to sights and transportation options. Two things we most appreciated was the AIR CONDITIONER on what turned out to be the hottest day in London, thus far! Secondly, was working with Paula, she was very responsive and provided detailed communication to support our questions about where or how to navigate around. The garden across the way is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax in the afternoon! Our family also loved the wonderful welcome treats!

Perfect Central London Apartment

We came for three days and wanted an apartment near the center of London. This apartment is unbelievable. It is in a development that is over 100yrs old and is only 5 min from the Victoria Coach and Train station. It's extremely safe and quiet. Winston Churchill lived less than 100 Ft from this apartment. It is a basement apartment with two windows and steps so personal mobility is required. There are many local coffee shops and restaurants within 5 blocks of the apartment. It so quiet that you can't hear anything outside, so rest insured. It is very well appointed with snacks, wine, coffee and guidebooks. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless. Paula, the owner, we exceptionally reachable and kind. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the heart of London but out of the traffic. Will definitely be back!

Wow, wow, wow…look no further

My husband and I stayed at this incredible vrbo recently. As a former vrbo host and guest of many vrbo rentals, we are blown away by this property…the best appointed place we have ever stayed in. Nothing hasn’t been thought of…supplies, snacks, welcome wine, coffee/tea, toiletries, etc. The owner even has alcohol and mixes provided!! Also, such a smart use of space and very comfortable. Great bedding and pillows. Finally, a thorough list of things to do nearby and restaurants as well as in London in general is printed in binders. The place is close to Victoria station so super easy to get around. We also had a few questions about how things work and the owner was super responsive!! The housekeeper met us on arrival (early), let us leave our bags and gave us grocery stores to go to while she finished getting the place ready. If we could give this place 6 stars we would.

Perfect London Stay

We have nothing but positives to say about this wonderful rental. We first saw it online and thought it looked perfect. The communication with Paula prior to check in was great. She responded nearly immediately to ALL of my questions and provided a ton of information about the local neighborhood and was immensely helpful in reserving car service to and from the airport. There were 5 of us altogether, 4 adults and a teenager. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and comfortable and we all had our own space. The little touches and surprises left for us in the flat made us feel welcomed and at home. This was a great location for us, just a short walk to the Victoria tube station and Victoria Coach station, which made it quick and easy for us to get anywhere we wanted. It was a fairly easy to walk to Buckingham Palace, the Green Park area, and even Westminster. If we ever come back to London, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a rental.

Loved our stay here! The property was perfect for my husband and I and our two teenage daughters. Paula is a great host and very responsive! The property itself was exactly as described. It is incredibly clean, has all of the amenities you could need, and was very comfortable. The location is beautiful and residential. It is two blocks from Victoria Station which is very convenient for both the tube and train. There is a lot within walking distance as well- adorable shops, coffee and patisserie places, and about a ten minute walk to Buckingham Palace. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend!

Perfect Family Vacation

We stayed with my husband and 2 children and enjoyed Paula’s place so much. It had plenty of room for all of us. Everything was clean and the location was perfect - walking distance to Buckingham Palace and cute bakeries and pubs. We loved the neighborhood and our kids loved the cute park across the street. What made Paula’s flat stand out so much was all the attention to detail - notes were out giving instructions for various things, there were treats and wine left out for us and plenty of coffee. We were so surprised how well the flat was stocked. Even a brand new dish sponge was out (used sponges gross me out!). The only downside was when we left and went to Paris - we missed the London flat and all of its conveniences so much! Paula was a gem to work with and was always responsive and helped us out with both London and Paris (way more than our Paris apartment owner did). We highly recommend her place and would never even look anywhere else when we come back!

Absolute Perfection!

We had a wonderful stay our week in London. The space was absolutely perfect for my family of four. Paula had some snacks and wine waiting which was very appreciated after a long flight from the states. The coffee bar is appointed with everything you need, a stocked kitchen with oils/spices, and all the cooking utensils you could need to make a beautiful meal. Oh and she has a stocked bar if you fancy a cocktail. But the best part is the location. You will be a 20 min walk from some of the best shops in London. A 5 min walk from Wicked and Hamilton (I saw both with last min tickets and incredible seats at a fraction of the cost) and right across the street is a private garden with the perfect spot to have a lovely picnic/wine/entertain kids. The underground, bus and hop-on/hop-off are right around the corner at Victoria station and the local restaurants/shop have everything you need. Ok I lied…the best part is the bed. I am very picky about beds and this one is reallllly dreamy. I had the best sleep I’ve had in ages. My children slept in every single day (this never happens at home). I was very thankful for a peaceful place to rest on a long day of sightseeing. This is our new go to place when we visit London!

Just perfect!

Our family of four stayed 7 nights at this property and the location is amazing. Walking distance to buses, trains, pubs, grocery store and many sight seeing locations. The apartment is fully stocked with whatever you need…all the details have been thought of by the owner. The beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of storage for unpacking. We loved the quietness of the street…it felt so nice to come back there after a busy day in the city. We would definitely stay here again when we return to London!

Great for families!

We traveled to London with our three children (12, 10, and 5) and had an amazing time at this flat. It is in a great location - very close to many restaurants and the underground. There is a wonderful private garden right across the street with amazing flowers, tennis courts, and a playground. The flat was very clean and had everything we needed. Paula was the best host and met us when we arrived and helped us through the whole process.

Exceptional Experience!

My husband and I travel full time while living in short term rental properties. We immediately felt at home in this charming, cozy, amazing apartment. While the photos of this property are wonderful, the ambiance is even better once you enter the property! It is evident that much thought has been devoted to the layout, design and functionality of this fantastic London flat. The location is quiet and easily walkable to numerous London sites. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and Paula was one of the most helpful and communicative hosts we have ever encountered. She proactively provided informative restaurant and other recommendations, along with remarkable snacks and beverages. Countless special touches were present throughout the perfectly decorated space, which all enhanced our experience. Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful than most other similarly-priced and sized vacation rentals. The hallmark of each residence is its personal style, which reflects its unique character and location. For example, Victoria's Jewel, which opens to the beautiful private gardens of Eccleston Square, is designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of the garden inside with a calm natural palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of color. Quality furnishings, decor and a level of convenience, comfort and attention set help set my properties apart from other rentals. My philosophy: I would never rent a property that I would not stay in myself. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I aim to 'think of everything' to make a stay a most positive and memorable experience.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

When searching for a property to live in, I wanted the best aspects of London at my doorstep: proximity to major sites, transportation, shopping, dining, culture and entertainment, and an upscale neighborhood with a traditional English feel. I found it in Greenhaven. An added bonus: Eccleston Square, an award-winning private garden, right is outside my front door in one of London's best areas. From the outside of Greenhaven, the view is similar to the garden featured in the popular film Notting Hill. You see the upper branches of trees, swirls of clematis, heady explosions of climbing roses and, here and there. When you hear the birds sing in this wonderful in-town oasis, London seems to disappear -- yet all of its wonderful sights, sounds, tastes and experiences are right outside the garden gates. Eccleston Square came about when town planner Thomas Cubitt, who developed it in 1845, had the idea of gathering everyone's back gardens together. Around the periphery, a shady walk winds though arches of wisteria and clematis. Garden buffs appreciate several unique specimen plants, including a handkerchief tree from China -- and art buffs enjoy the irises, some of which came from Monet's garden in Giverny, France.
