Cabin Getaway

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful. The kids enjoyed fishing at the river and eating breakfast/lunch at the gazebo. The cabin was very clean and having a fully functional kitchen was a great commodity. We will definitely be coming back for another trip.

Cozy cabin

We needed a place to stay on short notice and we were so thankful the cabin was available. It snowed about 4-5 inches that changed some plans a bit but it was very scenic and the cabin was cozy with everything we needed. Connie was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Rustic Cabin with Modern Fixings for Romantic and Quiet Get-Away

The cabin and property are beautify and rustic. While the cabin is older and authentic, it has been nicely modernized to include its bathroom and full kitchen. There are a number of local attractions and activities within 60 minutes to include caverns, horse riding, and hiking. The only potential improvement (for winter trips especially) would be a 2-4 person hot-tub outside on the porch.

Great cabin in Smoke Hole

The property was exactly what we were looking for. We spent a few days hunting in Smoke hole and the location of the cabin was perfect. The river access was really nice as well. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We booked this last minute and are so pleased with our decision! This cabin has everything you need to just get away from it all! The kitchen is fully stocked, it has a washer & dryer, full sized stove, and even a dishwasher! Oh, and WiFi which is helpful with the limited cell service in the area. Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob are just a few of the amazing places to visit while in the area. Again, we had a great stay!

Loved our stay!

Great little cabin that was comfy and very inviting. By far one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in. Loved the closeness to the river and the drive on up the road was absolutely beautiful with the fall colors. As we were leaving we were already making plans to come back!

beautiful spot on the river/mountain 10/10!

the house was easy to find and easy to get into. the river and mountain nearby are wonderful. hiking was phenomenal and nearby cities are pretty. the house was clean and had everything we needed. was a perfect getaway and perfect for your hiking/adventure needs. would go again and recommend you to go! 10/10 :)

My new favorite place to get away!

I grew up camping in the Smoke Hole area and as I get older, I desired a more comfortable stay! This little cabin is the perfect place to stay when you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Not only is the cabin absolutely beautiful, it is stocked with every single thing you need to make your stay perfect. The location is just beautiful and you’re close to the water and any other attractions that you would like to visit in this rural part of West Virginia. I can’t wait to go back.

Out of the way, but not.

A great little place to spend some quiet time. An easy hike to the river, and worth it. It's West Virginia, so you have to drive a bit to get anywhere else. Would stay there again.

Weekend away

We loved our stay at the Cozy Log Cabin. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and clean. The setting was so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch with a cup of coffee and we had a lot of fun fishing in and exploring the river below the cabin. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

Cabin with all the modern amenities inside. Easy to get to. Has a short walking trail to the river. Walking trail across the road from cabin. The only con we have about this property is that it’s beside the road so there’s a lot of traffic noise.

Home away from home

We now consider this little cabin in the woods, our home away from home. This little cabin is close enough to everything around the area yet far enough away to have a quiet relaxing trip. The cabin is super clean and well stocked with everything that you would need to enjoy your stay. The cabin is exactly as described. This is our second time staying here and we have no complaints! Thank you so very much!!

Would Not Recommend

This property has mice that were in our food, droppings on the floor, which was a hazard to our crawling infant. We found a small roach in our bed and there were lots and lots of spiders/cobwebs. The tv barely works and was super slow. There is another house a stones throw away meaning no privacy. The bed was also super hard and it was super hot in the cabin, even when we adjusted the AC. When we sent pictures of proof and made our complaints known, owner didn’t even reply to our message. I would NOT recommend thus cabin.

A Little Slice Of Heaven On Earth

This little cabin was just the ticket to spend a relaxing weekend. The cabin sits off of a quiet road and is just a short walk to the river. The cabin is absolutely charming, very cozy and truly relaxing. It has everything you could need. It is so well maintained you would think it were brand new. Great cabin for couples

This cabin has awesome appeal for a couple looking to relax and take in nature. The location is very secluded and quiet. We loved lisning to the birds singing and the river flowing through the rocks. Cabin is very clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Fancy cabin in a beautiful place

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable and clean, and well located. We found a lack of bathroom amenities like body soap, but made do. I suggest future guests bring their own soaps. Otherwise we had a great stay! Thanks to the hosts.

This little cabin was built in 1947 and my mother's grandfather helped build it. It sat for years and years with no one living in it and the critters, weeds and grass took over the beauty of it. Surrounded by National Forest with no one to build near you it is a cabin owners dream. In 2020 we had an opportunity to buy this gem and we did. With a lot of hard work and time we cleared the weeds, made a bigger driveway, built a retaining wall, sand blasted the original logs, put in new chinking, sanded and stained the original floors, build a new addition with a bathroom and kitchen and made this a nice rustic cozy place for people to get away and come to to just relax.
