This newly built three room guest suite has a bedroom with a TV, a garden view, and a comfortable queen-sized bed. The separate kitchenette/dining room also has a comfy sofa and a second TV. , The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and great water pressure. There are pool towels and comfy terry robes in the bedroom closet. The completely private backyard features a patio off the apartment with a four person dining table and a convenient gas grill. The secluded swimming pool is heated except in the coldest winter months, but guests may use the large, heated (100 degree) spa, year-round. From November to March, a complementary hot-tub spa overlooking the gardens and pool is included with every stay. Want more than one spa during your visit, no problem, additional spa sessions are available for $40. each to cover the cost of the fuel. Guests have their own private parking space and the use of two complementary bikes to explore nearby downtown St. Augustine and attractions by bike, car or on foot. There's nothing like returning to your shady garden paradise at the end of the day to enjoy the extraordinary bird life or a moonlit soak in the spa with the gentile trickling sound of the waterfalls in the nearby pond.

Pictures don't give Justice! Amazing!!!

Dave and Jed are amazing hosts. Their backyard oassis rivals any 5 star resort. Their attention to details and hospitality was above and beyond. Our only regret was not spending more time enjoying the rental instead of exploring St Augustine. It was a lovely walk to town and we didn't need to drive anywhere. We definitely plan to come back.

The Emerald Gardens

What an impressive property!! This oasis is stunning! With small path ways all over the property leading you to one private area after another through out the beautiful lush landscaping makes you want to book another night or come again for another stay! Morning coffee over looking the koi pond and afternoon soaks in the pool/spa is how we spent our days. So close to the downtown hustle and bustle it’s truly an escape from all the tourist fun. The host we very very accommodating and a pleasure to speak with. They created this resort themselves and you can see the love they have poured into it. Stay here and I guarantee you won’t want to leave!!

Paradise Found

This was such a wonderful stay. Dave & Jed were incredibly friendly and the property was so beautiful. The backyard oasis was a wonderful place to spend a day in the sun on our trip and was secluded. Would recommend to others and would stay again ourselves. Thanks again!

Felt like home

From the minute we booked our stay, and received a welcoming text from Dave&Jed, it was evident of how much love & care they put into their home. That care easily transfers to their guests, not missing a beat on providing everything from a spare toothbrush to excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back.

We had the best time. The property is walking distance to town and many activities. It was also a bike ride or jog to the lighthouse and state park. The backyard was AMAZING! It was wonderful to relax out there. Highly recommend!

My husband Jed and I are avid hikers. He is a Master Gardener and Landscape Designer. I am a retired Teacher/Professor of Biology and Environmental Science. We moved to St. Augustine, in 2015 for its warm climate and the beauty. We built our home in 2018 and designed a private guest suite so we could host others and offer them this lifestyle, with all the amenities we like. David

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Guests can easily walk into Town from our location. There is always a lot to do and see in St. Augustine. There, they can take a trolley ride and explore the entire town, getting on and off as they please: to dine, visit a museum, or see the quaint architecture. Other locations near downtown are are also close to the City, but still part of the noisy hustle and bustle of the City. But, what our location offers is a retreat from the noise and sidewalks of people. This property is on a quiet cul-de-sac, offering unmatched relaxation and tranquility. Paved paths wind through the gardens and patios of our backyard, where there is always something blooming. These botanical gardens are reminiscent of "Old Florida" which doesn't exist at other urban properties. Located at the northern most tip of Anastasia Island, this property has the tallest trees in the area, where ospreys, owls, eagles and herons regularly rest here before crossing the surrounding open water. Some guests don't even bother with Town, while others explore the beaches and natural areas on our bikes. Either way, returning home to paradise at the end of the day sets us apart. Our guests have coined the name of our location, "Paradise Found".

We always advise our guests to leave their car parked here and explore on foot, bike or catch a trolley for a guided tour of Town. A few days of living like this, makes people want to stay forever, which many do. As one of Florida's first tourist destinations, St.. Augustine made its natural beauty a focal point. Carrying on in Henry Flagler's tradition of making a paradise within a paradise with his breath-taking courtyard gardens, we painstakingly planted and transformed our double lot so visitors could have a subtropical forest experience within the Ancient City.
