I’ll start by saying that the property itself was as advertised, very nice, and we had zero issues with anything. The issue we had was in trying to get into the property upon arrival. We arrived around 9:30 +/-, and found the lock box key as told. We entered the code several times, but the lockbox wouldn’t open. I sent a message to the host, who didn’t respond for about 10-15 minutes, and then only with a retelling of where the lockbox was located. We had already found said box, so this didn’t help. I found the direct phone line to the host, called it a few times, but no answer, and no ability to leave a message. Several minutes later, and several messages later, I called again. This time I was able to leave a message, and I did, stating that the lockbox wouldn’t open. I asked for a return call. Several more minutes later, I got another message from the host simply stating, “jammed?”. I called again, leaving yet another message stating that I needed to talk to him in order to get this resolved. I received yet another message stating that he’d never had a guest with this problem, and he was trying to understand what wasn’t working. Had he simply called me, this could have been explained much better. He then sends another message stating that the emergency cleaning key is in another area hidden. We found it simultaneously as we successfully broke into the lockbox and got the key. The location of the emergency key would have been much appreciated, had it come anytime before the hour we had been trying to get in. I never heard another word from the host the entire time we were there to make sure everything was ok. The communication from the host was simply put, horrible.
