Cute and small cabin

The stay was good, they allowed us to bring our service dog! They gave us a bottle of wine as a gift, but we don't drink wine so we left it. Would've loved to have a washer/dryer on site, we stayed for 6 days and had to go to do laundry on day 4.

Perfect!

This place was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway trip. Easy to find and everything inside was so cozy and clean. Plenty of state parks and hiking trails around the area, would definitely come back again and explore more!

. . . because this place is such a treasure, we don't want the secret to get out. If it gets too popular, it'll be hard to book again - and we're definitely booking again! Great location, clean, well-outfitted, QUIET and just simply delightful. When you're ready to relax, unwind and unplug, this is your sweet spot.

Peace and Stillness

Here's a great review for a VRBO cabin using the words "peace" and "stillness": "We just returned from a wonderful stay at this incredible cabin, and I'm still basking in the peace and stillness it offered. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of serenity wash over us. The cabin's secluded location and surrounded by towering trees made us feel like we were a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with every amenity we needed to feel right at home. But it was the peaceful atmosphere that truly made our stay special. We spent our days hiking, reading, and simply enjoying the stillness of nature. The sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind were the only noises we needed to hear. The visit by the neighborhood kitty made it all the more special. If you're looking for a place to escape the chaos of the world and find some inner peace, look no further than this amazing cabin. We can't wait to return and experience the peace and stillness once again. Thank you Frank for building this beautiful piece of heaven.

Book this cabin!

Smells like a cabin when you walk in. Perfect for a couple. Wish we owned this piece of heaven. Nestled in the woods down a mile long gravel road. Hand written note by owner, Frank, and a bottle of local wine upon arrival. Amish made furniture in and outside the cabin. Plenty of chopped firewood with firestarter. Had a fire each night. So peaceful staring up at the sky through the tree canopy. The only thing I brought was steaks for gas grill, drinks, clothes, toothbrush and deodorant. Every other toiletry and kitchen item were provided in the cabin. 10 minutes away in Seaman, OH we went to Cruisers Diner. Airstream 50's feel diner. Amazing reubens and butter pecan cake. 10 minutes away in West Union, OH we went to Millers Amish Bakery and Furniture. Amazing creme stick donuts and home of the big glazed donut the size of your head. They also have a deli and bulk food store. More furniture than the eye can see. Book this cabin, you won't be disappointed. We will be back. It would be amazing if there was a recliner or 2 in the cabin for more comfort, but Im not complaining.

Hidden Gem!

This was one of the best properties I have ever stayed in, hands down. The owner was so hospitable and helpful and the cabin is immaculate and cozy. A hidden gem!!

This cabin is what you picture when you want a perfect cabin experience! It's rustic on the outside, and beautifully decorated and cozy on the inside. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a couple of meals, Keurig coffee and creamers provided for our morning coffee on the porch swing, and a great bonfire pit with fire starters, matches, and wood provided. The host thought of everything that would make our stay easy and comfortable! We never had any need to call Frank, but we knew if we had any questions, he'd always be available. We appreciated the bottle of wine and "Thank you" card that awaited us upon arrival. The cabin was extremely clean, and the autumn decor made it even more cozy. It was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I to reconnect with some quiet time away from home. Btw, the shower is amazing! You have to see it to believe it! We'd love to stay here again if we get the chance!

Perfect!

There is absolutely no fault that can be found with this perfect cabin! This is by far my favorite place i have stayed with VRBO. I especially loved the fall decor that made it all more personal. I booked this cabin for a little getaway for my mom and myself. We stayed up late talking by the fireplace, walked around the property at sunset, enjoyed the sunrise on the front porch, took a trip to Miller's, and enjoyed a fire at the firepit. The cabin is spotless and had everything we needed.

Peaceful Quiet getaway

Loved this beautiful rustic cabin, decorated for fall & very well stocked with everything we needed for our 3-night stay. It is located in a very quiet rural area that lets you experience the peacefulness of the surrounding woods. We only left to venture out to the Serpent Mounds. Definitely recommend for a quiet peaceful getaway. Very responsive hosts.

Best place for a cozy long weekend

If you are trying to decide between staying at this location or another cozy cabin CHOOSE THIS ONE! This property went above and beyond our expectations. Everything in the cabin is so cozy and such great quality. You can tell that Frank and Leah have really thought about the little details with their property from cozy throw blankets, to plenty of kitchen essentials (they’ve got a keurig y’all!), a beautiful bathroom with a rain shower head, an amazing fire pit with PLENTY of firewood, and even a complimentary bottle of wine from a local winery. Even though we had a rainy day while we were here we still enjoyed rocking on the porch and drinking our morning coffee. We cannot wait to make this a yearly trip, for us just to get away to a little peace and quiet. This cabin truly felt like a home away from home and I miss it already! One thing I will bring next year is plenty of dvds! They were kind enough to include a great selection since Wi-Fi does not reach this far out in Adams county yet and it worked out perfect for us. I have a Verizon cell plan and had two/ three bars our whole trip as well (in case anyone looking was wondering 👍)

Quiet & Relaxing Piece of Heaven

Perfect Cabin Getaway

Frank and Leah’s cabin is perfect for an unplug from reality trip! It has everything you need from an outdoor grill, fire pit, all the kitchen appliances and items to cook a meal, clean bathroom with a large shower and a lovely upstairs bed with comfy pillows! There are some outdoor attractions and hiking around. The village of West Union isn’t far if you need to go shopping or get gas. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you, Frank and Leah! Lovely Cabin in the Woods

The property was beautiful! The house was very clean and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. We really enjoyed the delicious treats at Millers Amish Bakery, and we had a great hike at the Buzzardroost. We hope to come back for some more rest and relaxation. Frank was wonderful! Cozy Cabin

Everything was spot on and my husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy quiet cabin. It had everything we needed and then some. The extra little touches that were put into making it really feel like a home away from home were greatly appreciated. Communication with the property owners was beyond satisfactory and they are very kind and considerate of their guests! Definitely recommend this cabin for those looking for a nice quiet getaway spot!

I am a retired law enforcement officer , And currently work for the US department of energy . It’s been a dream of mine to build a cabin in the woods to relax and get away from time to time . We built this cabin just my older brother and myself with some help from a few family members . We did it all and We take pride in opening our second home to others with top notch building Materials ,and craftsmanship. There was no corners cut into building this place for many families to enjoy no mater the occasion.
