## Emplacement
Saint-Vaast-en-Auge is a commune in the hinterland of the Côte Fleurie, just 10 minutes from the beach at Houlgate. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts, you can linger a while in this Calvados village. Seven kilometers is enough for a complete change of scenery. The landscape is not made up of sandy beaches or the rough English Channel, but of fields surrounded by hedgerows so typical of the Normandy countryside. Cows and horses will be your main companions. To take the time to discover Saint-Vaast-en-Auge on foot, as well as the border village of Auberville, take the loop to the south-west of Villers-sur-Mer. Approximately 14 km long, it will take you 4 hours 40 minutes (depending on your pace) to complete the entire itinerary. You'll pass through the Saint-Vaast-en-Auge woods, the Lieu Panier farm and the Grand Colleville plain. Why not pack a picnic lunch with local produce from the Dives-sur-Mer market? If you prefer a cooked meal, the Clos des Pommiers, on the outskirts of Gonneville-sur-Mer, offers an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in a relaxed, family atmosphere. A few metres further down, take a look down from the single-track bridge. The old Gonneville-Saint-Vaast railway station is still there, a reminder of the past.
