This Provençal farmhouse is nestled in an old stone quarry. You will enjoy a unique and typically Provençal green setting to swim, sunbathe on the solarium or share barbecues with family or friends... The good life to the rhythm of the Mediterranean climate.
The beaches and the old port of La Ciotat are only 8 minutes away by car.
Included in the rental: WIFI (fiber), end-of-stay cleaning, sheets, towels, several secure parking spaces and your first consumables (coffee, toilet paper, garbage bag, washing-up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine capsules).
A deposit of 1500€ will be requested by the host. For bookings of less than 2 weeks blocked on account, released at your exit. For bookings of more than 2 weeks, it will be cashed by credit card and refunded at the exit.
Ideal for up to 10 people, this single-storey house of 160 m² on 5000 m² of pine forest was built in 2008. It offers a balance between the typical layout of Provençal farmhouses and modern comfort. With the mineral freshness of the stone, it was not necessary to install air conditioning. On cooler days, the underfloor heating and the soft light through the bay windows provide a pleasant, diffused warmth.
Beyond the pine forest, the house is articulated between three main outdoor spaces.
The south-facing terrace accessible from the large bay window of the living room offers direct access to the 20m² above-ground swimming pool (secured by a railing and gate), the BBQ, dining area and outdoor lounge, all facing a pine forest. It is a friendly and very pleasant place. The swimming pool can be used from the Easter holidays (French period) to the end of September and beginning of October depending on the weather.
Quite typical of the region, the house is built around a paved inner courtyard on the north side. It is a cocoon, naturally cooler space where you will come to take refuge on the hottest days. A shade cloth provides you with additional protection above the dining table and sun loungers.
From this courtyard you access a roof solarium. Choose your sun lounger and enjoy good moments of idleness! The view is dominant and magnificent over the forest.
The interior of the house, at the crossroads of the industrial and the Mediterranean, combines raw materials and contemporary furniture for a unique style, both warm and sophisticated. The connection with the outdoors is made on all sides via the different windows and bay doors. This is also what makes it possible to generate air flows that bring a naturally moderate temperature to the house.
The living room offers an exceptional volume with its zenithal ceiling and its mezzanine converted into an office. It is the centerpiece of the house with its fully equipped open kitchen, large dining area and living room. You also have direct access to the terrace, the inner courtyard and the solarium from the mezzanine. In a nod to local history, the mezzanine was made with old steel beams from the La Ciotat shipyard, it's magnificent.
For your evenings, a piano and bluetooth speakers are at your disposal.
A laundry room also offers you all the amenities with washing machine, second refrigerator, ironing equipment, but also a shower room with walk-in shower.
The sleeping area is composed of 5 spacious bedrooms equipped with 4 double beds and 2 single beds that can be grouped together on request as a double bed (recent and quality mattresses), fans, dressing room. A second shower room and a bathroom are adjoining the bedrooms. One bedroom also has its own bathtub area.
The house is equipped with a total of 3 toilets.

The house is dedicated to rental as a whole. The owners have privatized a 6th bedroom and some cupboards and storage boxes in the laundry room.
Interaction with travellers
You will have a single contact available to welcome you, carry out check-in and check-out and can be reached by email, Whats App and mobile phone. He will introduce you to the property as a whole, how it works and will be available during your stay if you have any questions about the accommodation. It will also tell you what activities are available in the area

The house cannot be rented to organize parties or events. It is only for a clientele looking for calm and serenity. This is a neighbourhood in which noisy behaviour is not accepted.
Check-in times: 4-7 p.m., check-out time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. During the summer period, the agency will define the time of availability of the property and departure in these slots according to the schedule of the maintenance and reception teams.
Access to the old quarry is prohibited.

The trade-off is that you need a vehicle to access the shops, beaches, old port and creeks in a few minutes.
You can easily enjoy La Ciotat and its unique environment with its indented and spectacular coastline, its bay nicknamed "THE GULF OF LOVE" but also its hinterland: Calanques park, Calanque de Figuerolles, park and calanque du Mugel, the green island, the beaches, Castellet circuit, ...
The old town of La Ciotat which is quietly explored along small streets full of charm, and free of all traffic, the center being pedestrianized. We pass in front of residences whose construction dates from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. The tangle of streets and alleys leads to many squares, such as the Place Sadi Carnot and its refreshing fountain where you can stop for a drink.
You can also take advantage of the new quays of the old port, which were completely renovated in 2019. The markets and terraces are all invitations to take pleasure in the rhythm of the products, dishes and the Mediterranean climate.
