Inaccurate Listing (and not a vacation rental)
Overall this was a stressful stay. Granted, we booked last minute to be with family and I appreciated the quick communication from the host. However, we had to meet for in person check in and arranged that for 4 pm on arrival day only to receive communication less than an hour before, while we were on the road, that they wanted us to arrive later; the owner did provide a small credit for late check in. I can also understand the difficulty of the house cleaner apparently not showing up but the owner was literally still sweeping things into bags (and still missed several things) and later we found the family lives there then just rents out on weekends. Listing at one point said 6 bedrooms, then says 9 bedrooms and now says 10 bedrooms but this is actually a 4 bedroom property with 3 bathrooms (not 6). Luckily our niece, 2 nephews, and 2 of their kids lived near enough to go home and not stay with us. But even to gather for a meal, there are 5 dining chairs and 1 counter chair, limited cookware, etc. Beds and other furniture were not in good condition, there were random beds or convertible couches placed in the entry and balcony areas so maybe there were 10 "beds" as claimed but not 10 bedrooms. Overall the house is not in good condition and we had to shut off the gas for the stove due to a gas leak. Again the owner responded quickly and PG&E was able to do a same day repair but yikes.
