Response to damage claim filed 8/10/24
This correspondence is not a review of the property but rather a response to the damage claim filed upon our checkout on 8/10/24.
Due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Diane, my husband and I chose to go home mid-week of week 2. Since he is on oxygen, we left because we were afraid that the power would go out. My daughter and her family stayed until checkout on 8/10/24.
Val texted me on 8/10 about an hour after my daughter checked out of the condo. She noted some issues with the property. She was very upset. Since I was not at the condo upon checkout, I was very upset also.
After thinking about this for the last month and talking to my family who was at the condo at departure, I have a few comments related to this issue.
1. RE: stain on sheet, dots on TV/door, stained towels -
7 people stayed in this condo for two weeks. We paid a cleaning fee. I was contacted approximately one hour after my family checked out. Did someone (cleaners) try and get the stain out by washing the sheets, did someone try and wash the towels that we used for two weeks. My daughter has said that one towel was badly stained not all of them. Did someone try and wipe the dot off of the TV and the door?
2. Two pillow cases are missing. We did not take two pillow cases.
3. Piece of marble missing from TV table in bedroom. This table was not broken when we left. Where is the missing piece of marble? If we broke this table as the picture shows, my son in law would have fixed it.
