Nestled at the end of the cul de sac, and conveniently backing to Forest Service hiking and biking trails, is Granite Getaway with 4 bedroom and 2.5 baths. This tastefully designed and elegantly decorated mountain home offers an easy floorplan with an open, vaulted ceiling living room area along with a gourmet kitchen and an ample table in the dining area for gatherings of friends and families. There is also a king bedroom and private half bath on this level.

The cozy entertainment room on the next level offers a separate area for gaming, TV and movie watching and a laundry room. Off of this level is the hallway to access two queen bedrooms and a beautifully tiled and shared bathroom. At the end of the hallway is the custom crafted king primary bedroom and private bathroom with "heated" tiled floors, a walk in shower and a deep triangular tub.

This stunning home also offers a back patio area with a hottub, bbq, outdoor furniture (summers only) and direct access to trails for your enjoyment. There is a two car garage and a short steep driveway to park an additional 2 cars.

Private, peaceful and nature inspired, this splendid home provides a one-of-a-kind connection to the outdoors.

Great stay

Overall, we had a great time at this place. To us, it was better than the pictures. The moment you walk in, you feel the warmth of the house. For more objective details, here are some pros and cons from our stay: Pros: Beautiful open layout, plus a specific area for kids. Beautiful kitchen: completely stocked with cooking dishes. Location near the lake. Hot tub was great. Bathrooms equipped with heated flooring, which was a huge plus. Management was responsive. Cons: Two diapers were found. Shockingly within sight (cleaning team responsibility). Driveway not sedan-friendly; built for SUVs. Outdoor trash cans were not emptied from the previous stay. Snow was not shoveled off the stairs to the house so we had to do it ourselves. In conclusion, we had good time at the place. It was fairly clean but diapers were upsetting considering the amount of money we get charged for cleaning. However, I would still recommend this place.

Filthy house and rude property management

The house is unfit for a rental. They have a serious mouse and ant infestation and shouldn’t be renting out the property in its condition. We saw a mouse scurry under the couch when we got home from the beach earlier. Cleaners are not actually doing anything beyond a surface clean and the house is filthy. There is a woodworm / termite infestation in the master bedroom headboard. Needless to say, getting in to a bed full of wood shavings and listening to insects scratching behind your head is not what we paid for. The outdoor area hasn’t been swept or cleaned in weeks.One sink in the second bathroom doesn’t drain / is blocked. The master sink was full of hair. Manuals and junk fill the shelves in the laundry room. Food was left in cupboards from previous guests that the property management team will argue are staples and the cleaners don’t clean inside the cupboards or drawers. The washing up brush was disgusting and full over leftover food scraps. The garage is full of garbage. This is the first thing we saw. The cupboards in the kitchen with cooking equipment in them were full of mouse droppings. We had to rewash everything before we cooked or prepared anything out of fear of contamination. There is a drawer with an old, half used, mouse chewed toilet roll and mouse droppings. The fire extinguisher is past its expiry date, a safety risk. Property manager was so rude. Vrbo couldn’t care less. Never again. Warning all future visitors.

Perfect for families in a great location

We came with family and friends and had a blast. This house was so tastefully done with great amenities and quality cookware/appliances. The backyard had plenty of space to play in and the treehouse was really charming. We would definitely come stay here again!

Very nice place

Plenty of room, comfortable furniture, lots of everything we needed to cook, even spices, coffee filters, etc. Coffee maker didn’t work too well but there were individual drip ones so good save! Beds comfortable and heat worked well. We’d definitely stay there again!

Great house in a great location near lake and skiing

715 Granite Road is a beautiful property just off Lake Tahoe. I spent Christmas with my family consisting of my wife, her mother, our adult son and our adult daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. The house has four bedrooms and two large baths (and a half bath) making it a convenient and pleasurable stay for everyone. Very modern facilities including heated floors in the remodeled full baths and a modern kitchen. Living room and family room were great for getting everyone together. The house is about 20 minutes from the Northstar ski resort with a diverse mix of green, blue and black slopes allowing us to get our "ski legs" back. The team renting it to us was very responsive in helping us get settled into the house. Outstanding site for our Christmas together.

Peaceful retreat

Overall, a very nice place to stay. I loved the white linens and towels…very clean. Patio was attractive and a nice setting for extended family to come and join us for the day. Spa was hot, clean, and awesome. We had a great time.

Excellent Lake Tahoe vacation rental

We have friends visiting us from Germany and we stayed here for 3 nights. It was very clean and space vacation rental. The house sits in a quiet neighbor area and within driving distances to many beautiful Lake Tahoe spots. We will definitely stay here again when we visit this area next time.

Great House, Great Location

The house was spacious and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. The kids loved playing in the snow in the backyard, and the fun little treehouse! The sonos speakers were a great addition. No TV in the main living/kitchen area, but that's ok. There was a nice little tv room with a sectional couch with enough room to let the kids play and relax. Very nice large table in the dining space off the kitchen area. Master bath & heated floors were great! No issues with this house. A few things to note in winter: Granite is a bit of a hill...and the driveway is just a small steep patch, then stairs leading up to the door. If you have a 2 wheel drive car, and there's snow in the forecast, you may want to be careful. If you can't climb stairs you'll also need to take considerations, but that's pretty much any house in Tahoe. Will be back!

Property was great, very spacious. Heated floors in the bathrooms! Very swanky. We were snowed in temporarily on our checkout date and they were completely understanding told us to stay as long as we needed to be safe, very friendly. Highly recommended!

Beautiful cozy home perfect for our family vacation!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for our family to stay. The decor was adorable and the house felt so cozy! The beds were super comfortable! It was also a great set up for our little girl, they had a small table and kids rocking chair that she adored.

An absolute gem!

Stayed with a few friends to ski nearby. Very roomy, fun setup, lots of common spaces to chat and hang out. For friends who did not ski, there was plenty of space to relax, watch TV, and play board games. The hot tub was great and very spacious. The Sonos system was a nice touch, the Wifi worked great. The only thing you might want to note is that the driveway into the garage is pretty steep; which is challenging for cars that are not 4WD when it's icy -- my 2WD did manage to make it up, but we didn't use that car for the rest of the trip until we left! The heated floors in the bathrooms were incredible. There were ample amounts of dishes/cups/cookware for all to use. Very easy check-in process; might be one of my favorite rentals in the north Tahoe area.
