Situated on Little Lagoon, this lovely abode boasts both a screened-in waterfront porch and an open deck overlooking the recently constructed pier and stunning sunrises and sunsets. Fishing, swimming, and boating activities abound on this popular yet peaceful body of water. Plus, the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are just a two-block walk away. This home is conveniently located near shopping, dining, and amusements, making The Flip Side a great getaway for the whole gang. The open floor plan including large living, dining, and kitchen areas – along with the four bedrooms, a bonus room, and ample parking – make it ideal for a family gathering. Tile flooring and freshly updated decor create a bright and beachy atmosphere perfect for a long vacation of both fun and relaxation.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. NASTY

This home needs a serious deep cleaning. The carpet needs to be replaced all together. The floors never been mopped. If you like a clean place this is not the one for you. Make sure you pack shoes to walk around the house in. The grass is all grown up outside. You will need to pack some boots if you plan to walk to the dock. The dishwasher does not work. There was a toothbrush behind the mirror just hanging. The tub was so stopped up it was filling up with water when we would shower. I cleaned it out and sent a picture of the nasty ball of hair and the response I got was "Glad its fixed now" The lock on the back sliding doors was broke. The walls and ceiling fans are nasty. I sent multiple pictures off the things I was not ok with. The best they could do was say sorry and refund $116. I asked to speak with the home owner and of course they say thats not allowed. Im sure this home owner is not aware of the conditions of this home being rented out. I do not recommend this home unless you like nasty filth.

Lovely place close to beach access

A perfect spot for a 10-person family gathering. Lots of open shared space and four private bathrooms. Plus a great quiet location on the lagoon.

Overall not bad

I was pleasantly surprised with this house. Given previous reviews, I was iffy on what to expect. The house was bigger than I expected and the view of the lagoon was great. The house does need some work overall - broken dining room chair, mattresses could be better, rooms were warmer than common areas, ceiling fan a little squeaky, and the cabinets and countertops could be updated. However, none of that was a huge deal and we enjoyed our stay! We came out of town to get married on the beach and I really wish Vacasa would’ve allowed us to have a lunch reception for about 25 people. We instead rented another house to have that.

Family spring break

The layout of the house was great however it needed updates! Appliances were fine but outside patio Furniture was dirty and outdated. The yard was not maintained. Vacasa was great at booking us a new place to stay after our original house was taken off the market however we had a light completely go out in one of the bathrooms and it never got fixed after we tried to get it serviced. The house was in a beautiful location and overall a place to gather however it could use updates and cleaning!

Great time on the lagoon, bring your salt and pepper!

The pier and bench seats there made a memorable time watching the pelicans dive for fish and the herons land nearby. The lagoon front was great for launching kayaks. The house was super roomy for our 9 person party.

We FLIPPED over The Flip Side

Spacious rooms, 2 bedrooms with king-size beds, large screened in porch, well-equipped kitchen and bar, parking either covered or not, deck out to the lagoon, close by access to the beach; what more could you ask for?

Great Location

The location to the beach was great. One public access within walking distance and one a 1 minute drive (turn left out the driveway for the closest one). The house had plenty of room and everyone had a great time! The staff has been great, trying to find owners for things left behind and even picking up Amazon packages for the previous guests!! Great customer service and wonderful house. The kids loved the pier!!

Overall it was a great stay. We would have liked a blanket included on the beds. Some of the furniture is in poor condition. One dining room bench was not usable. Loved the location and easy walk to the beach. Enjoyed every day!!

Beautiful home and location

Not Too Bad

This house is beautiful. The view is beautiful! The back porch, deck, and pier is wonderful! The location is great! But after about an hour of being there, we had no hot water (except in the hall bathroom) and no air upstairs. It wasn’t very hot so we tried sleeping with the fans on. It worked on the first night but the second, it was awful!! We called and reported it and was told they’d send someone. But nobody showed up until we were pulling out the driveway after we checked out. The pull out couch in the loft had fresh red stains on it but there was a big note on it saying don’t remove the stained bed clothes, just cover it with a mattress cover. May need to consider putting a king sized mattress on the king sized bed instead of two smaller mattresses. Other than that, we made the best of it and had an awesome time. If those things are fixed, I think we will be renting here again!

Little bit of paradise

The location is great, the views are beautiful, loved being directly on little lagoon. Public beach access was not far. Second year in a row that we have stayed at the Flip side and we love it. The house is roomy and fit is perfectly.

Teacher retreat

We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the house and its location. We enjoyed the view of the pier and lagoon from the porches. The location was also convenient for nearby restaurants and shops. Would rent again!

Perfect layout!

The Flip House was perfect! The pier was such a hit! The house has enough room for everyone to gather, or spread out and have their space. The ice machine is awesome! Just a short walk to two public beaches.

Our stay!

We had a wonderful time. My only complaint would be that the lawn needed to be mowed. Wish we would have had a grill. We would have loved to have grilled. I thought it said it came with one but we couldn't find it. Would stay there again. Everyone had a great time. We loved walking down to the pier.

Overall good

The property was pretty clean however it could use a good deep clean, i.e. corners, baseboards, etc. and a few upgrades. The carpet on the stairs definitely needs attention or replacement. We had a few issues with missing essentials (mostly towels) but that was dealt with quickly. One of the much-needed fans on the screened porch was not working and though we reported that, no one ever came to fix. Other than these minor issues we had a great stay. Lots of room and great location.

Flip Side is Great

The home was comfortable and perfect for our vacation. Close to the beach and all the Gulf Shores shops and restaurants. The dock was fun for fishing.
