About Beaver's Bend State Park:
Established in 1937, Beaver’s Bend is one of the original state parks of OK. It is located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Beavers Bend State Park is home to Broken Bow Lake which is known for it’s crystal clear blue water. With 180 miles of shoreline, this huge lake provides ample room for water activities or finding the perfect
picnic spot!
With 26 miles of hiking and nature trails, there is no shortage of views. There are beginner trails for even the smallest of hikers, to more steep terrains for those looking for a challenge.
Beavers Bend State Park and lower Mountain Fork river offers the best rainbow and brown trout fishing in Oklahoma. There are some great fly fishing guides for beginners!
Feeling adventurous? Kayak the Upper Mountain Fork River where you will experience Stage 2 Rapids and maneuver around rocks. Looking for something more family friendly? The lower Mountain Fork River is a more calm option and great for those with younger kids. Our favorite place to rent kayaks is Beaver's Bend River Floats in the state park.
You don't have to look far for great horseback riding in Beaver’s Bend. Take a journey across the River Valley and enjoy God’s creation from
a different point of view!
Known as “The Wood Art Capital of Oklahoma” the Forest Heritage Center museum features dioramas painted by Smokey Bear artist, Harry Rossoll. Visitors will discover unique wood art, historical documents, antique forestry tools, and more!
