Waterfront cottage ideally located minutes away between downtown Sturgeon Bay and Potawatomi State Park. Year round rental offers something for all seasons. Enjoy Autumn colors, winter activities, and summer fun. 75 ft shoreline, permanent dock to tie up your boat, walk or bike the many trails in Potawatomi State Park. Cross country ski in the park or ice fish on Sturgeon Bay in the winter, or boat, fish and swim in the summer. If you're lucky, you might even catch the dazzling Northern Lights. Enjoy year round dining in Sturgeon Bay, or drive up into the peninsula to visit Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Sister Bay, and beyond.
Property has 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom with a tub/shower. 1 main level bedroom has a Queen bed with memory foam topper, 2nd main level bedroom has a Full size bed with a memory foam topper. Upstairs has a Queen bed, a double bed and XL-Twin, also a futon is available in the sunroom on the main level. A fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, and a gas grill on the porch. There are 2 dining areas plus a large deck overlooking the water. Plenty of parking, even for your boat trailer.
You can swim right off the dock, but the waterfront had to be reinforced recently with large boulders to protect the shoreline, so we lost our nice sandy beach. It still is great for swimming, or fishing off of the dock, but you will need to wear water shoes as we now have some zebra mussels at the bottom of the bay, and some smaller rocks. I have floaties and lounge chairs located in the shed for enjoying the water and sun!
We welcome dogs of any kind for a fee, as long as they are potty trained and not destructive to the property. I can supply a small/medium size wired crate if needed for your smaller dogs.
Sturgeon Bay is a great area to enjoy Door County. We have the only Pickleball court in Door County, also a skateboard park, large dog park, Potawatomi state park, miniature golf, waterfront with the new Maritime Museum, harbors, boat rentals, lots of boutiques, antique shopping, and restaurants that are open year round. Kayak the waters and check out the glacial bluffs and caves, and many shipwrecks are visible on a clear day. Just a short drive north to explore all the wonders of Door County, including beaches, State Parks, a ferry ride to explore Washington Island, and tour the many Lighthouses.
