The Bourse district is renowned as a fashion mecca. In the past, young women flocked here to buy jewelry and lace. Today, fashionable designers such as Kenzo, Thierry Muggler, Cacharel and Agatha have invaded the area... Inaugurated in 1686, Place des Victoires was the first square built in honor of the Sun King. At the time, a 7-metre-high statue of Louis XIV crowned on the foot stood at the center of the square. It was replaced in 1822 by the current statue of Louis XIV on horseback.
