Sauna WOW!

We are regulars at this beautiful rural rental, which has become our monthly reset button. But we had no idea these sweet owners just installed an infrared sauna. What? We loved trying out this new wellness option on Valentine's Day. I may even prefer it to the steam sauna at the gym. We didn't need a reason to return but now we have one! 10/10 we'll be back.

Beautiful serene escape with extremely attentive host

This is a beautiful and serene property to get away from it all! Host was extremely responsive and clearly loves this charming family home. Record collection was so fun, and teens enjoyed the board game collection. Pay close attention to the very clearly stated contract details re: well water so you are prepared as it was a bit of an adjustment for our family.

Perfect getaway

A stay at Full Moon Farm means welcoming the day with breakfast on a screened in porch, a morning soak in the hot tub, watching horses graze in the field, taking a nap on the perfect corner couch and feeling safe and dry during summer thunderstorms. We come back year after year due to the kindness and attentiveness of the host. It never disappoints!

If you are looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy nature, get away from the noise and hustle, AND listen to an extensive vinyl collection: Full Moon Farm has it all. We woke to the birds singing and went to bed with a night sky filled with stars. The house is beyond well appointed—a gourmet kitchen, hot tub, luxury bedding. And honestly—if you loved the music of the 80s and 90s (think: The Smiths, Squeeze, The Pretenders, REM, The Ramones) you might re-live your youth spinning records like we did! (Or in the case of our youngest guest, discover the joy of playing a record for the first time!) An amazing place with generous and communicative hosts!

Full Moon - Indeed!

The house is really unique; it has everything you need, beds were comfy and as we had a couple of 'cool' nights we used the wood stove once and it got really cozy and warm. We enjoyed the screened-in porch as well as the patio. The location is very nice and quiet as it is at a dead end road. You may be able to hear the neighbors kids and horses but you will mainly hear the concert of birds around the house. We saw deer, plenty of chipmunks, rabbits, 2 turtles and even a porcupine on the property. Hubby saw a bald eagle while fishing in the near by Catskills Creek! There are plenty of hiking trails, opportunities to bike , visit little towns and in general fantastic country roads to drive around on to enjoy the views! The night skies are amazingly clear and at the end of our stay we did get to enjoy a full moon! Make sure you read the owner description so you understand the water situation and the rules of the house - their house, their rules! One thing to consider if you are coming with small kids and/or with dogs that may tend to wander off. Part of the property is fenced in but that does not apply to the area just around the house. You will need to supervise the little ones and or confine your furry friend. Did not matter to us as our Senior Dachshund just strolled around the perimeter not straying far - and enjoyed this bit of freedom just as much as we did! The owner is very responsive and helpful with any concerns/questions! So we tally our trip to Full Moon Farm to the positive experiences we have had with properties we rented on VRBO! Go try it yourself!

Catskills retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Full Moon Farm. The house and yard are beautiful and charming with many cozy spots for relaxing. The kitchen is amble and well stocked. We went on some great hikes and to the Greenville drive-in, but honestly, were just as content hanging out on the property’s hammocks, patio, or screened porch. Angie was a terrific host, very attentive, helpful and responsive. Would love to return to Full Moon Farm one day!

A wonderful place to relax and decompress

Full Moon Farm was a fabulous place to escape the city and get out into nature. The property is lovely and the house is even more comfortable than the photos depict. We loved our dinners on the screened in porch and sleeping with the windows open to the mountain air. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Perfect quiet weekend in the country

This was my second time staying here, and it was once again the perfect place to spend the weekend relaxing with friends. Beautiful views, luxurious amenities, plenty of space, and an incredibly welcoming and attentive host. The heated floor upstairs, the very well-equipped kitchen, and the hammocks were a particular treat (among many other things). Strongly recommend!

Very nice accommodations in beautiful setting.

Worked perfectly for our situation. We were attending a memorial service close by and needed a family gathering place. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and kitchen and dining area worked great for meal preparation and serving. The kitchen is conveniently stocked with cookware and accessories and we were all able to fit around the farm style table. The scenery is wonderful throughout the area particularly in the fall, but I'm sure winter is magnificent as well. We would certainly return to Full Moon Farm in the event that our travels bring us back to the area. Cell reception is good, Wifi not to bad either.

Fantastic farmhouse in picturesque setting!

We have been making a yearly trip to Full Moon Farm for YEARS now and it is one of the most anticipated and enjoyable weekends of the year for us! The house has everything you could need--from kitchen to bath to back porch to hammocks--you won't be disappointed! The quiet dirt road and mountain views make it an ideal place to relax and just enjoy the peace--yet you still have cable and wifi in case you need a real-world fix. Soaking in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature couldn't be more delightful. This home is well-appointed and the care and love the owners have for this property is evident.

Wonderful Farmhouse Getaway

Beautiful house and wonderful property. If you are looking to get away from it all this is your place with an easy drive to Woodstock. House description is very accurate. We had a great time and will be renting again. The owner is very attentive and communicates extremely well. Thanks for the farm fresh eggs!!! Suggestions for improvement... Better lighting near BBQ for night time cooking, Bigger TV (although didn't really care), sharper knives. Thanks again for a wonderful Memorial Day getaway.

Authentic upstate farmhouse getaway

We live in Florida and our once a year ski trip with my 5 children is a very big deal. We plan for weeks and make sure Every detail will be memorable. We found this house to be the perfect spot after a long and tiring day. There was plenty of room and we felt at home right away. The decor was cozy and made us feel like it was our little farmhouse. We cooked in the kitchen, and hung out in the living room. Waking up was the highlight of the house, the grounds are so beautiful, and worth it to see it in the snow! The owner was extremely helpful, answered all questions we had, and really made sure we were cared for an happy! Excellent stay and perfect memory.

Thank you for a lovely stay.

Full Moon Farm was a lovely house with lots of great amenities. The wood stove kept us very warm in sub-zero temperatures, the bedrooms were spacious and cozy, and the record collection and board games kept us entertained for hours. Angelina was responsive and helpful before and during our stay. It really felt like we were staying in someone's home, which was welcoming. The house was a perfect size for our group of 8 adults and one dog. I would say, before booking your stay, make sure to ask to see all the house rules and learn all you can about what the house will be like during your stay. We were expecting to use the hot tub, and we didn't learn until after we booked that the hot tub is seasonal and it wasn't until days before that we learned it would not be available to us during our stay. The description promises early check-in and late check-out if possible, but we weren't told whether this was possible until a day or two before, which made planning ahead tough. And the check-in time of 5pm and check-out time of 10am felt a bit restrictive. Also, once we finally were given the house rules, we read that there was a slight chance that the water from the tap would have a sulfur smell due to the well water. The water actually reeked and was not drinkable at all, and hard to shower in or clean with. We had to make multiple runs to the store for drinking water, which we were not prepared for and which would have been much harder had it been snowing any more than it was. Lastly, for how strict the owners are about cleaning, we found the house in a bit of disarray, with a previous renter's dirty socks under multiple beds, and the dog picked up a previous renter's trash from under a table. While we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable, I would just say go in with your eyes open and ask lots of questions before booking!

A fun weekend getaway with the family
