Grand Lancaster mansion

Very nice and elegant property. Plenty of room.Had several tubs with showers. Difficult to use for many of us (ages71-82).

The Bomb for Family Gathering

Our extended family, consisting of 16 adults from several states, gathered for a weekend. Plenty of room to gather together, talk, play cards, and cook; all in a beautiful historic residence. If you have a large group, and are looking for a unique experience, I'd recommend this be at the top of your list of considerations.

Excellent Spot for a Large Group

The King's Cottage is the perfect venue for a group trip, with beautiful bedrooms (and enough for even quite a large group to give everyone their privacy), a palatial dining room, with a table that can seat twenty, and plenty more space in the living room and game room. It also has enough bathrooms for everyone, often the one critical missing piece in a big vacation house rental. It's just a quick drive or a half hour walk to Central Market and all the other spots in downtown Lancaster that we came to visit. For the first few hours after arriving the most common thing I heard people saying was "wait, there's more to see over here" as people explored the house and picked out their rooms. We hope to stay here again whenever we're back in Lancaster over the next few years!

Delightful

This historic home is as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. The property manager was very prompt in replying to questions. It was a wonderful place for our large family to gather for a couple days.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

Our whole family gathers every year for Thanksgiving. We need a space for 12 people to stay and 20 people to eat dinner. The kitchen's double ovens and twin refrigerators were used to make meals, including Thanksgiving dinner. Overall the house served our needs to a tee.

The Kings Palace because we were there to see King David at Sight and Sound and the property is King

It was a bit more old than I had expected. The major issue was lightening. Half of the light fixtures and lamps did not work or had burned out bulbs. Kings Cottage is a wonderful property just in need of a FRESH update !!!

House not as described.

The owner was very nice and easy to deal with however it was not properly cleaned it is very old and not well kept. Broken showers, cobwebs all over the place, mouse droppings in the bedrooms... the pictures are very misleading. it's also not a private house, there are 2 other rentals on the same property which is always a safety concern because you have no idea what kind of people you will be sharing with. Overall dissapointed☹

Perfect house & location!

We just finished staying 2 wonderful nights at the Kings Cottage. There were 7 families who came together for a soccer tournament in Lancaster. Each family had spacious accommodations and the group was able to gather in the common areas of the kitchen, living room, front room, and back patio. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials needed to cook a feast. The owners were great to work with and replied quickly when communicating. We would love to stay for a future visit.

Holiday in Lancaster

We were a family of 11 who spent a long weekend at this very large lovely home. It was wonderful and had everything we needed and then some! At their suggestion we got our Xmas trees at Elizabeth Tree Farm, so much fun with lots to do! Our only wish is that the house had bigger property, but the house itself was perfect!
