Hot tub did not work

Very disappointed. They do not keep the hot tubs well maintained and ours did not work. They only gave us a 50 credit. I only booked this place because it had a private hot tub. Very disappointing. Everything else was fine.

Only 1 game worked and the hot tub wouldn't heat up. They were aware of the issue but we weren't notified of this. They told me someone would be out knowing it wasn't true..

Broken hot tub

Overall the house was great, but the hot tub wasn’t operational while we visited. This would have been an inconvenience on its own, but the way that the “local team” treated the issue made it a major problem. Several times, a tech was sent out to service the hot tub, none of them were able to fix it. The hot tub stayed at a constant 55-57 for the duration of our stay. When I asked about reimbursement for the inconvenience of the hot tub not being operational, I was told my question would be sent to the “local team” to be remedied. The local team never contacted me. I was issued a 33.83 refund for my issues. I’m not sure how it was decided that that was the value of my problem because no one ever spoke to me. The property still does not have a skillet , which is mentioned in a review from December 2023, and has a total of six forks. I hate to rate this property poorly because the view is breathtaking and if you didn’t have any issues, I sure it is an incredible rental, but my experience was pretty bad. This a great property with an incredible view and terrible customer service

Nice cabin

We enjoyed the cabin. We loved the decks and rocking chairs with the view of the mountains. While sitting on the lower deck only after an hour of checking in we saw a baby bear cub and her mom walking to the rear of the property.

First time in the Smokey Mountains

This cabin is the perfect place to stay to enjoy Gatlinburg and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The house itself is great. The view of the mountains is fantastic and with a hot tub on one of the balconies, is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the mountains after a day of hiking or exploring the town of Gatlinburg. The cabin was very clean and had good quality and functional appliances. They provided plenty of towels and bedding. The water pressure was good, which is a small thing but makes a big difference. The king bed on the main floor was very comfortable. The rocking chairs on the balconies were very comfortable and well maintained. The grill is labelled as public but is actually a small grill located just outside the front steps of the cabin. Overall I really loved our stay at Mountain Rendezvous cabin and I would recommended it and I would certainly book this cabin again!

Mountain Rendezvous

A beautiful cabin with a stunning view. We housed 10 during our stay and it did not disappoint. The only drawback is the slow or absent Wi-Fi, at times. We weren’t totally annoyed with this because after all, we were in a cabin high up in the mountains, and there is so much more than great internet. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Breathtaking view

I loved the cabin had beautiful mountain views. It was spacious and my son, niece and nephew loved the game room, hot tub and swimming pool. We were in awe of seeing black bears roaming at times. I would definitely rent this cabin again and highly recommend it.

Great family refresher

We are locals and just needed to look at a different set of 4 walls. There was plenty for the kids to do, to stay entertained, while I enjoyed a nice quiet porch view. Great for a little weekend staycation.

Perfect size for our family of six

We spent most of our time outdoors and away from the cabin. Four kids between 5 and 12, and they were well entertained at night when we unwound from our activities of the day. The furniture shows its wear from years of love, but we didn’t mind as we did not spend much time in the cabin. Our 12-year old was disappointed that the pictured Golden Tee machine was not present upon arrival. He got over it, and we enjoyed the other games that were there.

Bigger than you think and the VIEWS

This was a nice sized house that seemed bigger than the pics showed. We had a group of seven and there was plenty of room for us to all be together. Plenty of beds for all of us. This could easily sleep 10. The views of the mountains from the decks are INCREDIBLE!!

STAY AWAY! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The cabin is outdated, run down, dirty, moldy, and bug infested. This is the worst place we have ever stayed. The one and only good thing about the cabin is the view from the upper back deck. Upon arrival there were obvious signs that the cabin wasn’t properly cleaned. There was a dirty sock on the floor by the foot of the king bed, a soap bar wrapper next to the heart shaped tub, a starburst wrapper on the back deck, a gum wrapper in the air hockey table, an old bar of soap on top of the shower door frame, and a dead cockroach in the corner by the arcade. There were piles of dust on the air returns, behind the king bed/on the headboard, blinds, lamps, lights in the light fixtures, etc. There was toothpaste splatter on the walls in the bathroom and on the towel bars. TV remotes were missing batteries. Light bulbs were burnt out. Doorknobs broken. No air filters in the air returns both downstairs and upstairs. Mold on the floor and wall by the floor air registers. Live cockroaches IN the dishwasher, sink, and bathroom. The hot tub water level was too low and below the jets. The hot tub had trouble regulating temperature and not all the jets work. The dryer has a cover for a vent missing so items are sucked into it. There’s three TVs but only the one in the living room has cable, the other two only have DVD option. The WiFi sometimes works but mostly doesn’t. The living room couch is terribly uncomfortable.This place is a health hazard and shouldn’t be inhabited.

Beautiful cabin - but not so clean.

We loved the cabin, it was beautiful! But when we got there it was not so clean, there was dust everywhere, spiderwebs, and the water would clog up in the restrooms.

A Birthday to remember

We came down from Indianapolis for a birthday celebration. We had 6 adults and had plenty of space. We loved the arcade games and pool table, however one game did not work at all and should be repaired or removed ( it didn’t have a plug at all ) The views are amazing especially from the top floor.

It was great!

We loved staying here. The cabin was great, views were even more spectacular! I’d definitely stay here again. The only downside to this cabin is that it seems like there is no maintenance done to it. Some of the games downstairs didn’t even work, two tvs didn’t even have cable on them (thank goodness I brought my Roku plug in), and the hot tub drained after every time we got in it. The hot water heater also doesn’t work well at all, and we couldn’t even use the tub downstairs because the water was cold before half the tub filled up.So just a little disappointed that things aren’t well maintained when people aren’t staying there. But overall, we loved our stay and just hope things would be fixed.

Great view - that’s all

Having rented dozens of chalets, we were excited for the convenient location and views. It did not disappoint in those categories. What was disappointing was the interior furnishings of the chalet. Furniture was damaged beyond a normal rental. The sofa couch felt like you were sitting on the metal frame. Televisions in bedroom and basement not functional. The basement was a missed opportunity. Large room with bunk beds and queen bed. There was a free standing Golden Tee video game that did not even have a plug to turn on. Pinball machine was non-functioning. Air hockey table was broken. If you are looking to go and relax, this is not the place.
