Canadians in Kihei

This was a wonderful spring break for our Canadian grandkids, their parents and grandparents. The condo is very well equipped and is in a beautiful spot. We enjoyed every minute here.

Trip of a life time !

We stayed at this property in March 2025 for spring break - and let me tell you, the word “paradise” in the description is not accidental. This place was truly fantastic! We travelled with friends, 2 families with kids 4, 6, 8 years old. This condo was perfect size for us all. Important things that we wanted when searching for accommodations was balcony with access to backyard, beach in walking distance and of course - ocean views. This property met all of these requirements. Cherry on top was heated pool and grill ( after long day of exploring it was so nice to enjoy juicy steak or fish that we picked at a local market). Condo also has multiple sand toys, chairs, umbrellas etc - much needed in Maui as you are def going to explore many beaches. Location is fantastic as well - close to many shops, grocery stores, fruit stands and many cool beaches. Communication with the owner was easy as well- Jim was very responsive, answered all our questions and provided many recommendations. Can’t recommend this property enough, and when we go back to Maui we’ll definitely stay here again!

AMAZING property!

This condo is simply AMAZING! It is spacious for larger groups with terrific views. Great views from two of the bedrooms as well as the great room and kitchen. It is so peaceful to hear the ocean as you enjoy the space. The lanai opens up to the lawn, so it feels like you have this huge dedicated outdoor space as well. There is a rock wall that is short enough to not block the view, but high enough if you have a toddler to help keep away from danger. There is also a nice, protected swimming area in the ocean. The condo is close to the grocery store and the onsite restaurant is very good for a convenient meal. The managers are also very friendly and easy to work with. I can't say enough good things about this property. I would love to give it a bad review so there are more openings when we want to go back but it is too beautiful not to share. Don't hesitate - book this one - you won't regret it!

Kihei Paradise

We really enjoyed our stay at the Speth's Kihei home. Jim was very helpful throughout the rental process and in answering questions up until our stay. Their onsite person was equally supportive. The ocean view from the living room and lanai is amazing. We enjoyed watching whales through binoculars (provided by the host) and checking out the sea turtles resting on the rocks. The unit’s location is quiet and peaceful excepting the gardening activity that keeps the grounds looking so pristine. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had ample drawers and hangers for clothes. The ocean view is from two of the three bedrooms, too. It was a treat to hear waves breaking when it was quiet at night. Though we didn't cook, the kitchen is well equipped for those who do, with a variety of appliances, cookware, and even basic spices. We tried some new restaurants from the list of recommendations. Threes and Maui Brewing Co were both very good. They were worthy supplements to family favorites Mama's Fish House, Tommy Bahama, and Hali’imaile General Store. One thing to note for people using canes or walkers is the curb transition from the parking lot to the ground floor walkway is rather steep. There are areas that are less steep, though you may need to walk a bit further for unit access. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind returning for a repeat sisters' trip. Paradise at Your Fingertips

Jim & Audrey's place is well appointed, centrally located, and has the most beautiful views of the ocean with access to prime beaches, shops, food, and more! We wanted to explore as much of the island as we could during our 9 day stay but it was hard to leave the lanai of this wonderful condo where we could watch turtles, whales, and amazing sunsets. A short walk from the lanai and you had a long stretch of beach to walk or another smaller beach to play in the calmer waters of a protected rock cove.The community pool was also great on windier days and the rooftop access was wonderful to look out over the ocean and view Haleakala. Inside, the condo had everything we needed to make ourselves at home--whip up some pina coladas, keep up on laundry, and they even provide some basic beach essentials like snorkel equipment, sand toys, chairs, boogie boards, and more to use and enjoy.This oasis was perfect for our family of 4 and the grandparents. The adults loved the two king-sized beds in the primary ocean-facing rooms while the kids enjoyed the third room which was arranged into two twins perfect for our two young boys.Jim & Audrey checked in on us with such kindness and care before and after our arrival and even after our stay. They offered many recommendations and advice to make our stay the best vacation and we are so grateful. We hope to be back to enjoy their wonderful Hawaiian home again soon!

Beautiful View!

We stayed at this condo for the unobstructed ocean view, which was beautiful! You can't get much closer to the water! The space was large enough for our party of 6 adults. We loved being able to walk directly outside onto the grounds which are perfectly manicured. Jim is a very proactive and communicative host. He gave us plenty of good suggestions for our visit to Maui. The property staff were also very friendly when we spoke to them. Thank you for sharing your Maui home with us!

Great location on the beach for a family

Great location on the beach. Wonderful to be able to walk out from the living room to the ocean in 30 seconds or less. Everything you need to buy is only 5 minutes drive. Fancy resort restaurants in 15 minutes. Look forward to returning soon as we can.

Good choice for us

Well-equipped condo in central location. Loved being so close to the water, you can sit on the Lanai and watch the turtles swimming while drinking morning coffee (or evening beverage of choice!). One small issue (refrigerator filter needed changed). Notifies owner and it was done same day - very responsive! Would not hesitate staying again.

Maui Condo Perfect for Families

Our stay at the Speth’s condo was better than we imagined. When we arrived everything was extremely clean & parking was right outside the front door of the unit! The condo had plenty of beach toys, chairs & umbrellas. We were pleasantly surprised to at how easy it was to let our kids play right outside the patio on the grass & the water was so shallow out front that it was even safe for them to snorkel or play on the sand while we watched from above. The turtles shocked us everyday! We couldn’t believe how many were out front daily. Jim is a quick communicator & friendly to work with. We plan on coming back again this coming year!

Everything as great as described...and more!

The hosts are amazing - accommodating, quick to respond, helpful. The place is very clean, well-appointed, lots of room for the 5 of us adults, and would obviously accommodate at least one more adult and some kids. We had a problem with the coffee maker, and the on-site manager (very friendly) had a new one to us within minutes. The ocean view is spectacular, walk out to the beautiful lawn, nice pool, beach out front, walk for miles along the sandy beach going either way. Condo building well-maintained, friendly staff. Parking is easy, and drive 5 minutes to everything you need - groceries, restaurants, bars, gifts, snorkel shops etc. Although we did not have children, we see that they have a lot of equipment available (playpens, high chairs, toys etc.). Washer & dryer brand new, laundry soap supplied + other cleaning products. They have thought of everything, really, to make our stay pleasant. This is our second time staying at the Speth Maui home, and won't be our last.

Great accommodations in a fantastic location!

My wife and I stayed there with 2 other couples (Jan 31 - Feb 14, 2024) and absolutely loved it! The accommodations were great and the "central" location (Kihei) is a real benefit to visiting anywhere else on the island. In addition to being able to watch the whales "play" every day, having a bunch of giant sea turtles almost outside our patio door was really special! We highly recommend this place.....2 thumbs up!

Maui Ocean Front

Your first impression when you open the door is the priceless ocean view!! The condo itself is very spacious. We had 6 adults in our group and had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some staples to start with. The beds were all very comfortable and the rooms very clean. We stayed a full two weeks with a late check out. This way we didn't waste a single day on this beautiful island! We have stayed at Menehune Shores many times but this is absolutely our favorite unit. The rest of the grounds are immaculate and well maintained. You also have Maui's historical fishing pond 35 feet from your large lani with plenty of outdoor seating. The pool area is always clean and well maintained. This area also has three very large clean gas grills as does the rooftop seating and entertaining area. This property also has a great Indian restaurant and bar "The Monsoon" .My parents have been coming for years and their most favorite activity is watching all the whales, dolphins and turtle's. The weather in Kihei is always warm and has more sunny days than the West side of Maui. You may find newer and more posh places to stay, but this unit and resort, has been home to us many times. The very worst part of staying here is leaving 😪 to go home! The owners and on property managers are great people and easy and responsive to work with and the whole process is so simple. Everyone on Maui has the Aloha spirit, including all of us escaping the mainland sub artic temps!

Great Stay!

Had a wonderful time here in Kihei. The condo was perfect. Clean, roomy, great location, beautiful view, nearby supermarkets, lots of restaurants and additional shopping. Just steps from the beach with snorkeling that had the added joy of being a turtle habitat. Spent the Christmas & New Year holidays here & would happily do it again!

The Vacation of a Lifetime!

The Speth's Hawaiian home on Maui doesn't disappoint. The first week of our 40 year-in-the-making Hawaiian vacation was everything we wanted and more. There was plenty of room for our six adults to spread out and never be on top of one another. We spents hours every day on the lanai enjoying the spectacular views. We could certainly tell the Speths actually use their home, as it was not missing anything our family needed all week. Jim's emails were packed full of info that was greatly appreciated. The place was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a nicer spot. Jim is a dream to deal with and extremely responsive on everything. Very accommodating for our family. Nothing bad to say about the place or our experience, loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect.

We had a perfect stay. Location, check in, cleanliness were all great. Windows and shades need a bit of dusting- but not serious. The home has everything you need! Everything (home, sofas, blinds, building) is a bit older than it looks in the pictures- can be updated (we would still return as is!). Cindy the property manager was very helpful. We had wifi problems and she (and Jim) were super responsive and sorted everything out super quick (new router!). We’ll be back!

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our 7-person/3-generation week-long trip to Maui! This condo is easily accessible, comfortable, and the owners & manager were easy to work with and responsive. The 1st floor location is really convenient, with the beach and pool literally steps from the lanai. We actually preferred the beach here to any others we went to. It just felt safer (less waves) and was more relaxing. The AC was a must for us and was very efficient and easy to use. The view was spectacular!! We spent every morning and evening relaxing on the lanai. I could sit there all day! The condo was spacious enough for the 7 of us and was well-stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this condo-it is worth every penny! Just a couple things to consider (which absolutely would NOT prevent us from staying here again, but for full transparency): - Though not related to this specific condo, but the building itself, the parking spots here are TINY making it hard to find a spot at times and get people/items in and out of the vehicle. If you use a larger vehicle, this gets annoying. - The beds in the two front bedrooms are quite firm. If you like firm beds, you'll love them. If you're used to softer beds (we have a Tempurpedic at home) there will be an adjustment period for your back. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this condo and we will be return guests if we have another family trip to Maui.

Maui Beach Front

This place is absolutely perfect for a family with little kids. They can run around on the lawn in front without getting in trouble. The little protected beach is also perfect for little ones since the waves never get big. The big beach is good for long walks. The patio with an unobstructed view of the ocean is great for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. We all had a wonderful time here.

Family and friends week of easy fun

I have rented this same unit multiple times. Jim is easy to work with and corresponds quickly to even my repeated questions. The location is great. The mornings in the fish pond drinking coffee and seeing turtles and a sunrise is only beat by gathering for the awesome sunsets right out front. We grill most nights and the grassy area is great for friends and family to enjoy the evening. The bigger kids can go over to the beach if they want a little space and it is all right there. The unit is easy and clean and everything is very comfortable. I think the mattresses are new this year as well. They are perfectly firm. We will be back again and again.

We have made many trips to multiple islands, first as a couple, then as a family. Over the years we found that we loved Maui the best...as they say 'Maui No Ka Oi!' (Maui is the Best!) We started to look at property all over the island during every visit. When we found Menehune Shores 114, we knew that we had found our own personal paradise! We found ourselves in Kihei on our first "family" trip to Maui. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the proximity to the airport and Kahului, as well as easy access to the whole island. Menehune Shores 114 is blessed with daily tropical breezes, beautiful views of Lanai, Kahoolawe and the Pacific Ocean (you can't get much closer!), and the relaxing sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep, all on a well-maintained property. Just to be sure this was the best possible condo, we kept looking while we were in escrow (and even after), but nothing else came close!
