Welcome in to Spinnaker! Only a short distance from the beach in the peaceful North End of Sandbridge! When you arrive, you’ll enter the first floor family room offering high ceilings and comfortable seating for all around a large flat screen TV and a decorative fireplace. Includes an entertainment area with a high selection of DVD’s, books, and games. This vacation spot is beautifully designed for those seeking a large family getaway.
You will have your own private swimming pool accompanied with a volleyball net and hot tub, all located in the spacious backyard. Various covered decks with gorgeous views of the beach!
1st Floor: 3 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, 1 king and 3 queens. A mini kitchen is located on the 1st floor as well, including a full size refrigerator, eat-in kitchen table for 6, as well as a washer and dryer plus a pool table!
2nd floor: 2 king bedrooms, one includes a luxurious master bath with jacuzzi style tub. Full kitchen. Large dining room which is filled with a big dining room table to seat your whole family. Large open family room with flat screen TV above fireplace and 1 half bath. Wide deck off the family room with outdoor seating.
3rd floor: 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, 2 bunk bedrooms (2 twin over full bunk bed sets), and 1 full size sleeper sofa located in the loft. Access the wide front deck with beautiful ocean and beach views.
Outdoor shower with both a foot wash and shower head for your convenience.
Beds will be made for you on day of arrival. Pool is available based on weather ranging from mid May through mid September.

Several of the previous reviews submitted were prior to transitioning to our property management company. With that said, we have made several adjustments to each of our properties to ensure the best experience for your stay!

Very happy with the house had plenty of room for my family ranging in age from 77-4. The house has a great view of the beach and access to the beach is just across the street.

Family getaway

We had a great experience staying at Spinnaker! The property was great and the location right across the street from the beach was ideal. Had a couple of hiccups but the management team was very responsive. One drawback, with the intense summer blaze, some canopy shade in the backyard by the pool would have been ideal but that was solved with a quick run to Walmart to pick up a table umbrella. Overall, for our party of 22, the property worked out very well, we would look to rebook in the future.

Family Gathering

This large house with direct access to the beautiful beach was perfect for our large family gathering. When we discovered the pool cues were broken and there was no chalk, the host was quick to respond to my message and bring over a bundle of new cues and chalk. It's that kind of attention to the needs of the guests that keeps people wanting to return.

The kitchen could use a few more frying pans there was only 1 large one. The carpet needs replaced on the lower level steps or completely taken out . Having carpet in a rental is not a good idea. I would replace with vinyl flooring through out the entire house. Also the hand railing are very disgusting and dirty the wrong paint was used on them. Even though a few things need addressed in my opinion, I will be renting this house again, this is our 4th. year in a row staying here.

Served Its Purpose

My Family embarks on an annual vacation in different parts and regions of the US each year. We are fortunate to stay in beautiful properties in all sorts of communities so we were looking forward to enjoying Spinnaker!I have mixed reviews because the location is top-notch. Beach access is directly across the street and the street itself is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of VA Beach boardwalk, etc. so this was a plus. While the house has great amenities (i.e., pool/Jacuzzi, games, billiards table and a playscape for kids outside), the house itself needs work: new carpet, couches, appliances etc.It's a beautiful home but we encountered quite a few mishaps: one of the toilets in the Jack & Jill bathrooms on floor 3 did not flush on Night 1, the half bath on the 2nd floor didn't have a working light, one of the eyes on the stove did not work at all, etc. Although the property manager addressed the toilet issue rapidly, the stove issue could not be addressed quickly and our request to get a light bulb replacement was not answered. In my honest opinion, I find that houses rented directly by owners are cared for a bit more closely than those managed by corporate entities where a property is just one of many. The staff was friendly and I do appreciate their quick responses on what they could address. We were also super grateful for late checkout and early checkin privileges...thank you again!I do think this house could be magnificent with renovations, though.

The front of the house, doors, and glass are filthy and the grounds had not been cleaned. There was a dirty diaper dropped inside the gate. Deck boards are loose and popping up and several of us tripped along with getting splinters. The pool was never cleaned mid week (vacuumed) although we did see a van in the driveway. The door for the upstairs beachside deck is nearly impossible to open, so someone may want to check it. The washing machine is leaking so cold water will continue to fill the basin if you don't shut off the water. I am sharing as the owners should be aware.

A Great House, Our Group Had So Much Fun!

When we arrived we were blown away by the size of the house, especially how many bedrooms and bathrooms there are! The hot tub was awesome, there are TWO kitchens, and the beds (mine at least) were really comfortable. We wished they could have provided dishwasher pods and a few other basics, but they did provide us a ton of clean towels, toilet paper, and some beach supplies! Also, the kitchen was really well stocked with all the things we needed to cook all of our meals :) Also, the house could not be closer to the beach... the walkway is literally next to the driveway; we didn't even have to put our shoes on because the sand is like 20 steps from the house. What else... ummm, oh, the TVs had Rokus, which was cool, so we could easily watch movies & sports (there was cable too)... I had some trouble getting the one in my bedroom to work properly, but that was okay, it kept me from being anti-social, haha. Overall, our group had a really great time. Anytime we needed anything or had a question, the owner was really responsive, helpful and polite! I would 100% recommend this house to anyone, especially a large group who is coming to Sandbridge for the beach, a hot tub, a comfortable living room and bedroom, and just generally a great time!! Thank you to the owner, keep up the great work!

Great house in a Great Location !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time in Sandbridge. We had 22 people which fit comfortably in the Spinnaker Semi-Oceanfront home. The location was perfect!, right across the street from the (no steps) beach access!. We had unobstructed views of the ocean. We only had on issue with the kitchen faucet which was fixed quickly. We were notified before our arrival that the hot tub was broken. It was fixed during our stay so we got to enjoy that for the second half of the week.The kitchen could use some extra supplies, for a house that accommodates up to 24 people, there could be more silverware (forks), plates, mugs and the cookware could be expanded also.Overall, it was a great house and we had a memorable vacation week. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to Sandbridge or the Spinnaker house. Unfortunately, Ocean Sands Realty does not give current renters the option to rebook the following year, this house is already booked for next year before we even left. ;((In our past experience, the current renters had until the day after checkout to rebook or hold for the same week the following year. )

Reviewer Comments: So let’s start with clean: there is my standard of clean and then there is what the house actually looks like.In this case - the home was swept and appeared clean - but then let’s look a bit deeper.Stove was filthy (inside and top) - here are photos to show what sandbridge realty approves as clean is just a basic wipe off.Then the fly in the fridge, the filters for the AC return and the general appearance of out side (see photos). Yard has hazards and really no appeal.The house has huge vaulted ceilings and an AC until working overtime to cool the huge space - it struggled and was not really successful mid day in May - can’t imagine what July would be like.Furnishings are very used old items that the goodwill would not take if donated - the sofas are old and tired support, no springs, uncomfortable.Let’s now go to the amenities - hot tub with hot water full of sands and pool that you can not see the bottom makes you wonder if you should actually get in. Our guests had fear about getting in. In fact the lady’s stated that they might get a urinary track disease or worse.Worse once the pool guy got to the house he tried to blame the issuesOn the prior family. Even went on to say that it looked like food in the hot tub - I can tell you it was not food!

The home was clean and wqell maintained and extremely well equipped. (The only missing is that one of the propane tanks on the two grills was empty and we didn't check it in advance -- so just be sure to do so). The primary kitchen was well equipped for creating meals. Big plus was the beach access directly across the street.

We loved getting the handtowel in the towel package. The only thing we were a little disappointed in that ALL supplies were wiped clean from the house. Rentals that we have used in the past, will leave the extras of some dish soap supplies from the previous, some spices for use with future guests. This had nothing.. We brought all of our supplies, and like leaving for future, but was hesitant, not knowing that they would be left for the next guest. Hot tub was a blessing after the round of Golf at Hells Point.
