Set in the heart of Marshall, Virginia, 2 blocks walking distance to the town's main street where you can enjoy amazing restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, and so much more! Our comfortable country home is located 60 minutes from DC and conveniently located right off of Route 66. Our beautiful small town is at the base of the Shenandoah Mountains in the heart of Virginia Wine and Horse Country! We are located 7 minutes from two award-winning wineries and surrounded by gourmet, fresh farm-to-table restaurants. Marshall is also only 15-20 minutes from Historic Middleburg - the heart of Virginia Horse Country! Relax in our spacious home with a beautiful, fully fenced backyard. You will love waking up to a country breakfast and the peaceful views of the mountains. Great for telework!! Come work from our home with your own dedicated office as well as an additional workspace desk in our first-floor bedroom.

Great place to stay

This was a great place to stay. Fab bedrooms and bathrooms, a nice big kitchen and dining room table, and a comfy living room to chat in. The hosts are excellent: really helpful, easy to reach, and polite. I highly recommend this place.

A Really Enjoyable Stay!

Jill & David were delightful and helpful hosts. The location was great: close by our family Thanksgiving location and right around the corner from Red Truck Bakery (yum)! The house was clean, well-cared for and had everything we needed. A really enjoyable stay!

Yearly friend getaway

Three couples that have been friends for over 30 years planned their annual trip and chose this location due to the wineries. The check in was smooth. The house had everything we needed. It was a perfect quiet location. Would recommend for a getaway for all the amenities and the hosts were great with instructions and accessiblility.

Horse Country Visit

This is my first time in the Marshall area. The house is in an ideal location - short driving distance to fabulous wineries, glorious horse farms, great restaurants, boutique shopping… I hope to return to see the majestic fall colors. And my pups loved the fenced in enormous yard and canine neighbors to the left and right of the house. Great vacay!

Peace and quiet

We went to celebrate a birthday and had a great stay. Living near an airport we welcomed the quietness of this cozy home especially at night. Our bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The large fenced in yard was heaven for our pup. The location was wonderful! A couple of blocks from the main road so we walked to everything. I definitely recommend this home!

Great Location & Comfortable Home

The house was exactly as described in the listing with plenty of room for 4 adults. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for our girls weekend. We couldn't have picked a better location. The house is a short, easy walk to the restaurants and shops on the main street in Marshall. We grabbed breakfast at Red Truck Bakery and dinners at The Whole Ox, Field & Main and Tapatios. All were fantastic. The house is also close to several wineries and breweries. I would definitely book this house when visiting the area again.

Sweet house on a quiet street in Marshall

Perfect location for our group of four vendors working the VA Scottish Games in nearby Great Meadow. Great kitchen for a group, comfy beds and very clean house. Only glitch was late send of door code, but we did get it within the first half of the appointed hour. We will return next year!

Movie ready town set

I needed the space because I was in the area for a funeral so didn't try to do the tourist stuff. Therefore, I can't really comment about things to do nearby even though the town was very inviting. The house was simple but had good bedroom space and the yard was ideal for traveling with a dog. The neighboring yards had fun looking projects which gave it a pleasant, safe feel. It was an overall good stay.

Lovely, comfortable, cozy cottage.

We were a group of 2 senior couples who got together to celebrate in the New Year. Marshall is a lovely house with tasteful decor highlighting the horse farms and vineyards of the area. The house was well stocked with everything to serve our needs. The hostess was responsive to any and all inquiries. The large fenced-in yard was a great play and exercise area for the dogs (one service dog and one pet). Marshall is definitely a place we would recommend and where we would stay again if revisiting the area.

This is a charming house in a nice quiet neighborhood. Very nice fenced yard that our dog enjoyed.

The owner Jill was available to answer questions and the booking was easy. Totally enjoyed our stay. My granddaughter loved the swing in the front yard tree. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Perfect spot in Marshall

We were super happy with this VRBO property. The owners were very easy to reach and replied to questions promptly. The back yard was great for the pups. Close to lots of activities and local shops, but not “too” close. We definitely recommend to is property for anyone wanting to be enjoy horse country or a small-town atmosphere. Be sure to check out Red Truck Bakery, The Whole Ox, Marshall Mercantile, Johnny Monarch’s, and Field & Main, and the Marshall Farmers Market (2nd and 4th Fridays during summer). All of these are within walking distance of this property. A short drive gets you to Barrel Oak Winery (among others) and Shenandoah National Park. 😀

The location was perfect. Marshall is a great town and within a good driving distance to skyline drive, D.C., and more. The house was in very clean, and bigger than expected. My family and I enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to others.
