Full renovations happening this winter! Get excited!!
A spacious, beautiful St. George Island home with stunning bay views! Just a short walk to the beaches of SGI! Enjoy bay views of the Apalachicola Bay from all 4 porches of the home! Amenities at the home include: adult bicycles, beach chairs, ping pong table, foosball, arcade machines & a combination gas/charcoal grill. Home features private screened-in swimming pool! Located directly across from a private bay front nature park and minutes away from some of the most beautiful nature trails to explore by bike or foot. The home is just a short distance from the community clubhouse, where you can enjoy the fitness center and the island's largest community swimming pool.

*This property is pet friendly. There is a nonrefundable pet fee of $200. This covers one dog under 50lbs. We will allow a max. 2 dogs under 50lbs. There is an additional $75 fee for a 2nd dog.*

House layout:
1st floor: wet room/entry room
2nd floor: 2 bay view porches, kitchen, dining, living room, 1 queen bedroom, 1 bunk room (combination full/twin bunk) with shared full bathroom.
3rd floor: 1 king bedroom suite + master bath with jacuzzi tub, 2 king bedrooms,1 bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds - both combination full/twin bunk, 1 full bath & 1 half bath in hallway, laundry, 2 bay view porches.

For those with smaller children, there is a pack n' play and crib available at no extra charge.
There is to be no smoking or vaping inside and/or outside of this home. If we find evidence of smoking/vaping, you will be charged $500.

AGE RESTRICTIONS: The registering guest must be at least 25 years of age and will be held responsible for all parties and/or guests of this reservation. The individual making this reservation must be 25 years old, must be present at check in, and must remain for the entire length of the reservation. Thank you for understanding!

Nice place for large group

The pool area was nice and the kids loved it. Views from the balconies were beautiful. Not a bad walk to the beach. We never did figure out how to turn the light on in the downstairs bedroom. And could use some minor repairs. It would be helpful if the remotes were labeled. And if the fans in the pool area worked we did enjoy our time there!

Great family place!

We had 16 adults (19-88) celebrating my 80th birthday. The location was perfect with lots of privacy in native Florida surroundings. We all enjoyed having fun in the pool and on the beach every day. The younger generation enjoyed fishing, kayaking and 3 of the bikes were usable. Be sure to bring extra towels, beach towels and kitchen towels.

Nice Rental

The home was lovely - the location, rooms, etc. Only one of the several bikes available was in working order. One of the games in the game room was broken, which was disappointing for the children traveling with us. Some of the chairs were on the verge of breaking, so we didn’t use those. There was also a statue in the stairway that was broken and had the broken pieces lying around the base of it. The listing stated there was a highchair available. I messaged the manager 3 times, before checking in, to confirm the highchair would be there. She never gave me a straightforward answer and always responded with “with have partnered with BabyQuip for all your travel needs”. So I assumed the listing was correct - it was not. It would have been nice to know that we needed a highchair and I wish the management would have been direct in their communication.

Great location, house needs some work

Great location in the Plantation. I would not stay here again - there were just enough things that were bothersome. The sheets, towels and carpets were stained. The porch furniture was really dirty and although I asked during check in for someone to come clean it, no one ever did so we could even utilize 3 of the 4. Although there were a lot of bikes available, most were so rusted they weren’t useable.

Happy Trails

Our family group of 6 adults and 5 children (age 13 and under) fit comfortably in the house and there was ample space inside and out to accommodate everyone for meals. The walk to the very private beach was pretty direct and took 8-10 minutes to walk. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Great place

This is a nice, clean house just a short walk to the beach or Bayshore. They have stocked it with just about everything you would want for an outdoor activity from bicycles to kayaks and fishing poles! The pool was very nice and offered another choice for getting wet. Although this is a community, the way it is laid out gives every lot privacy and you will quickly forget you have neighbors! There are a few maintenance items that need to be taken care of but nothing major. We will definitely be back!

Great house for big family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had plenty of room for my parents, siblings and our kids. We loved all the big decks with plenty of seating and the convenience of being such a short drive or walk to the beach. Ashley, the host, was super responsive when needed and we’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed 7 days exploring,enjoying, the sights and beach around St George island. Beach was beautiful and scenery breathtaking Can hardly wait to return The house was great meeting all expectations Only thing I would change is the tool door locks didn’t work or were missing especially on bathroom’s . We only had a couple minor issues the hostess addressed them very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

House was nice but needs maintenance

Overall, we had a good time spending the week with family. The house is in need of routine cleaning/maintenance. For example, the pool area was dirty with mold in corners and old leaves around. The cleaning crew did a poor job prior to our arrival with dirty sheets being left on the beds. We had to change and wash sheets before going to bed the first night. The silverware was dirty in the drawer. The shower handle in the upstairs bathroom was broken - we reported but they did not fix it during our stay. They did offer compensation for our trouble with the sheets lol. The house and beach is very secluded. We were the only ones on the beach. Overall, we were slightly disappointed mostly in feeling dirty throughout our stay.

Relaxing getaway

We loved our stay at Happy Trails. We had a few minor issues but they were quickly resolved. The property was clean, nice private location and easy drive to the beach access. We also enjoyed the community pool area as the house pool temp was still a bit cold in early May. We definitely want to return.

Family get-away

A nice house that needs a little TLC. We were contacted on day 3 to see how everything was. I mentioned some items that needed attention, one of which was more urgent and was told someone would be out the next day. Someone did come out 3 days later and fixed some more urgent matters. We messaged a couple more times regarding some of the additional issues just to make them aware but didn't need attention while we were there and they had stopped responding. Overall we really enjoyed the location and the house, but some of the issues did hamper our experience a bit, like 2 of the bikes being broken. That was disappointing because we actually reached out weeks prior to see if they were all in good working condition.

Spring Break

The house was as described and perfect for our size group. As other reviews said, not all of the bikes were functioning. We didn’t bring our bikes because it said there were seven bikes. Only three of the bikes were working properly. This didn’t ruin our trip. We rode what bikes we could and enjoyed our bike rides. The house was clean and stocked with what we needed to cook. We enjoyed our time at the house. You can walk to the beach. The pool was not heated and too cold to use. This was not a big deal as we expected this in April. The bugs were bad, and we couldn’t sit outside because of this. Thankfully, there were no bugs at the beach or when riding bikes. The beach was amazing and not crowded. Overall, we loved the house and location and enjoyed our trip!

Beautiful Place

We loved everything about Happy Trails. We had a party of 7, young adults and a child…also our Bulldog came for the trip. It was super clean and included all the basic needs we could think of. Plenty of space for everyone, and the arcade games were a big hit with everyone on the cooler nights. We enjoyed the area!! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy St.George Island.

Birthday and family trip

Big enough for a whole crew . The privacy’ is nice. Very accommodating. About 1/4-1/2 mile to beach nature path. No real bay access at house but can launch at nicks hole.. house missing a few small amenities ( pot holders,baggies paper plates and cups) needs a few minor fixes. Beautiful porches to drink coffee and grill( propane and charcoal )were great on site. No heat in the pool. Ping pong was our favorite. Only 3 bikes working out of 7. Chains off and flats. Needs a little Maintence but a nice place overall.. the cut is 3.2 miles from house . Club houses are 1 mile one way and 1/2 other.latch on back patio door was a poor design leading to wooden steps and pool . The steps are rough. No elevator. Pet friendly, but my older dog had a tough time had to take her home after 1 night and find her other accommodations .
