Diamond Lake Charmer

Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage. The home was comfortable and met our needs. Our host was responsive to every request and question. We are repeat visitors and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

Wedding Week Stay

We liked that this property as it was near the marina and access to a beach all a short walk away, especially if you are going to rent a boat for the week. The beds were comfortable, temperature very good. Lots of seating and a great outside area with several areas to sit. Unfortunately, we had a medical issue in our family so we didnt get to enjoy the area as much as we would have liked. But the house was perfect during when we could stay.

Great week at Cozy Cottage

Everything was as advertised. There was plenty of comfy seating in the front room for all the readers in our group. The kitchen was great and the double dining areas were perfect for our multi-generational group. The back deck with the Koi was lovely and very relaxing. Brian was very helpful with the couple of questions that we had and access to the nearby beach for the children ranging from 2 to 8 was perfect. We had a lovely time.

Great House!

We had 7 Adults and 1 child, there was plenty of room. The kitchen is very well stocked. The backyard area is very nice with a Koi pond which my granddaughter loved feeding twice a day! The house is further from the very nice private beach than we thought. We rented a pontoon for the week, though I felt we didn’t get our money’s worth because of the distance of the boat from the house. All in all we had a wonderful time in a beautiful home!

Perfect location for relaxation and recharging.

Great location! Amazing back deck that is so very relaxing. Spent every morning out there with my coffee and a book. Grill was new and plenty of space for all. Just steps from the lake with a sandy beach and the marina. Perfect for our vacation. Owner was super helpful and communicates very well.

Amazing property

The house is bigger and nicer than the pictures show. We enjoyed grilling in the backyard each night and we rented a pontoon for the week from the marina a couple hundred yards away from the house. We’ll be back next summer

Great Vacation Home

This was the second time my family rented this beautiful home for our annual family vacation. First of all the owner Brian was wonderful and quickly responsive to all my questions; so easy to work with. We were 5 adults and 4 children under 5 yrs and never felt crowded...this home is so spacious! Beautifully decorated with a completely stocked kitchen was such a plus. I particularly enjoyed my morning cup of tea relaxing, while listening to the waterfall of the koi pond. We are already planning our return to the Cozy Cottage next year!

This house is awesome

This beautiful decorated house is so impressive. It was extremely well maintained and very clean. There was no dirt, no dog hair not a thing out of place. I have stayed in a lot of other places but I can truly say Diamond Lake was the most gorgeous . The lake is crystal clear and warm and clean. This house is conveniently located close to the lake and the marina, Which is great . We rented a pontoon from Diamond Lake marina, which is very responsible priced and a must. The lake is beautiful for sightseeing for swimming, tubing and fishing. We caught so many fish. This lake is very healthy. I highly recommend this house rental. The owner is superior to work with and the house has everything you need. The house is huge and the bonus room is awesome added amenities. You will not be disappointed in renting The Cozy cottage it is cozy and so much more. The Koi pond is delightful. 5 + stars We will definitely return!,

Cozy Cottage and Host

The Cozy cottage on Diamond Lake is excellent in all aspects. The lake house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The host is helpful and accommodating to the vagaries of vacationing. The Marina is 100 yards away and has boats for rent. The lake is spring fed and excellent for boating, fishing and swimming. There are roadhouses and trattoria's within the Cassopolis area for fine dining. There are butcher shops, farmer's markets, grocery stores and pharmacies minutes away for vacation provisions. It is a easy a lake house vacation as you can find anywhere in the Midwest. Thank you to our host for sharing this gem with us.

Amazing rental!

We just returned from a wonderful week at this property. The house is spacious, clean, and excellently maintained. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 7 kids, that fit easily in the house with room to spare. I was amazed at how well stocked the house was. Not only does it have the standard linens, but the kitchen includes common spices/condiments, the living room had plenty of board games, and the garage held a treasure-trove of bikes, chairs, and beach toys - including 2 kayaks that we were free to use. First house that we've rented together and can't wait to come back!

Wonderful Stay at the Cozy Cottage

What a lovely home with wonderful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With three adults and three teenagers we had room to spare. The comfortably furnished deck, koi pond, "man cave" garage, air conditioning, washer and dryer, beautifully appointed kitchen, and grill all made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The proximity to the lake is fantastic- we could easily walk to the private beach and boating on beautiful Diamond Lake was amazing. This cottage is so beautifully decorated, and yet the owners were so gracious in allowing us to use their beautiful home away from home. We truly could not have asked for more in a vacation rental.

Cozy Cottage Christmas

We truly enjoyed our family Christmas at the Cozy Cottage! Our trip was off to a bit of a rocky start due to the condition in which the cottage was left by the prior renters and a miscommunication between the owners and the cleaning company. It's a shame that people are comfortable treating someone's lovely home in this way. The owners and cleaning company were wonderful and rectified the situation as quickly as possible and generously compensated us for our troubles. We are business owners ourselves and know that challenges can arise, but believe it is in how everyone, ourselves included, handles the situation that makes the difference in the outcome. Brian (owner) is great to work with and truly a nice person who takes pride in his property! We chose the cottage and its location because we are from Illinois and our other family members are from Michigan, it was a perfect halfway point. Our intention was to celebrate Christmas and partake in a bit of skiing at Swiss Valley, but the weather did not cooperate. It actually turned out to be perfect that we were homebound; we played tons of games, did puzzles, cooked, watched movies, took a walk around beautiful Diamond Lake and just enjoyed the company of family! Such a relaxing end to the hectic holidays! The kitchen is well stocked, there are plenty of linens and bath items and everything was organized in a user friendly manner. The cottage is very inviting with beautiful furnishings, a roomy layout and true to its name the "Cozy Cottage"! We will keep the Cozy Cottage in mind when making future vacation plans and have already shared with friends and family information on the cottage! I'm sure the Cozy Cottage would be Amazing in the summer!

Excellent Rental!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage on Diamond Lake. The layout of the home was roomy and had every accommodation anyone would need to make it a perfect selection for a family retreat. The furnishings were just lovely and provided enough seating for our nineteen Family Christmas Party dinner guests. Our guests loved the home too and it really made a special gathering place for all. Everything in this home is exceptionally clean and well maintained by the owners. The décor is so welcoming and really comfortable. All the linens and bath items were plentiful as well as clean and very well organized. We never had to look for anything as items were organized in a user friendly manner. Brian (owner) was great to work with and was available to answer any questions. He is a really nice person and obviously takes pride in his property. We really enjoyed speaking with him and hope to rent this home again. I would also add that a grocery and drugstore were nearby as well as close proximity to larger shopping areas. The area has beautiful homes and the Christmas lights were magnificent. We had some beautiful evening rides around the lake taking in all the Christmas decorations on display. This is quite a remarkable area and most certainly worth a vacation stay .Great for all ages. We loved it!!!

Perfect lake house vacation

We had a fantastic time at the Cozy Cottage. It was a stones throw from the lake. The accommodations were beyond our expectations. It was furnished beautifully and so well outfitted. I couldn't believe how great the kitchen was equipped. We had games of croquet in the large backyard, bbq'd on the deck and played tons of board games (many were provided). The back house was a perfect escape for the teens - with foosball, a tv and mini fridge. We stocked a ton of food and essentials, but the owners had plenty of backup coffee, cooking oil, salt/pepper, pancake mix - it was so nice. There's a great butcher (Vlasicks) in town and farmers' market - so we ate very well. Definitely try Vlasick's homemade sausages and hotdogs - incredible. We had kids as young as 7 and an adult - 79 and it worked out beautifully for all of us. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and made our stay very nice. I would definitely stay in this house again. My only regret is that we should have rented a pontoon for the week. Perhaps next time.

Perfect for a relaxing get away!

We had a great week at this cottage! Proximity to the beautiful, clean lake is great and the cottage is equipped with everything you might need. Open floor plan with beautiful furnishing provides ample space for lots of people. As we are avid cookers, the kitchen was delightful to cook/work in and seating space for diners was abundant - really nice! Back porch provides a great place for cocktails/happy hour. Kayak availability is another huge bonus! Only minor issue worth mentioning is the water pressure/water quality isn't the best, but it didn't deter our fun! Relax and enjoy - it is fun! Really pleased with this vacation rental....

Perfect Vacation Lake House

The pictures in the listing are very accurate. The home is beautifully decorated, that coupled with an open floor plan provides a wonderful atmosphere for large groups. Everyone can feel very comfortable. This is not a cottage; it is a home fully equipped with 4 bedrooms & 2 full baths. It accommodated 3 families very well. Absolutely loved the house. Diamond Lake was approx. a block away, very clean, large lake with a nice beach area. The kids especially had a great time playing in the water. The Marina next to the beach offered a variety of boats and toys for rent. On a rainy day we visited the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo which was a lot of fun. It is an air museum, but it even had rides for the kids and prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. Our family would like to make this an annual visit now. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It was only a couple of hours from Chicago area. Great place, great time!
