Welcome to Mountain Paradise Casita. Located in the historic upper Eastside of Santa Fe, Mountain Paradise is a scenic private one bedroom Casita nestled in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. This is a quiet neighborhood with off Street parking. The views from the Casita provide one with the feeling of being surrounded by nature. The sunsets and mountain views are not to be missed. Enjoy dinner and the sunset on the SW facing deck in the mountains. You are welcome to also take advantage of the vast Dale Ball trails. Multiple trailheads are within walking distance from the Casita. They are perfect for hikers and mountain bikers of all levels. The Randall Davey Audubon center and sanctuary are also nearby. The Casita affords easy access to all that Santa Fe has to offer, from the galleries on Canyon Road, the numerous markets on the Plaza, the Santa Fe Opera, Ski Santa Fe, and more restaurants than you can count. Location

The porch has a a wonderful view. Easy access to old Santa Fe and great hiking along the Santa Fe River within a half mile of the property. There is a steep sloping driveway access, so for us older folks it might be challenging. It was Not a problem for me and I'm 75 years old. Overall it was fantastic, and hope to stay again. Jim

A lovely stay

The property was just as described. Plenty of space, nicely furnished and a beautiful view from the deck. The hosts responded promptly and provided excellent directions and household tips. Highly recommend.

A perfect, quiet retreat!

My three year old son and I stayed here while skiing in Santa Fe, and it is a perfect spot to get away! A quiet and calm location with privacy and everything was exactly as presented in the photos. Very clean as well! It’s a quick drive to the Plaza and about a 30 min drive to the ski slopes. Had great communication with the owners and I would definitely stay here again!

Good place for someone who appreciates a full kitchen.

My husband and I stayed two nights. The rental is spaciousness and has a fully equipped kitchen. During weather guests will enjoy morning coffee and evening time on the deck overlooking the valley. We had some trouble with the air conditioner/heater system (perhaps operator error) to which the manager quickly responded. There were also a few maintenance issues which were responded to as well.

Cozy Casita

Perfect place for a couple to have a getaway. The casita was impeccably clean, and plenty of room for us. Location close to canyon drive is nice too. Just a short drive down the hill to great restaurants and shops, but far enough to get out of the hustle and bustle when you want to relax. The wood stove was especially appreciated while we were there as we had a little snow during our stay. The host Sherry was also very quick to respond with any questions we had. Overall excellent experience.

I loved my stay at Canyon Road! There were multiple hiking trails very close, and the drive into the property was only 5 min from downtown. We loved the openness and the kitchen which was stocked with all of the items we needed, and more! We loved the fireplace and the sky lights. One downside was the king bed had clean sheets, I assume, but they didn’t smell like they were freshly washed. I also wish they had been more clear about the thermostat as it got very cold the first night because we didn’t set the thermostat correctly. Location and patio view were priceless. Would definitely stay again.

This place is all about location

To start, I am from Santa Fe and am home visiting family and friends for the holidays. And I tend to be fussy about where I will stay. This place more than meets the need. Almost all pro with only a couple of cons. The house is perched on a hillside at the end of the road in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Santa Fe, spacious, and good for a solo traveler or couple (I don't see how more than 2 people can function here). Large dresser and King bed in BR, small dining table, cute roll-top desk as a work space, and comfortable couch that partially reclines in the living room. The bed was much too soft for me, so I often slept on the couch - not ideal, but workable. Kitchen has the basics you need to feast at home (I made a small family Xmas dinner here). But the bonus of this place are the endless views, with magazine cover quality sunsets from the very comfortable porch. A leisurely 10-minute stroll gets you to the Audubon nature center at the end of Upper Canyon Road and the best hiking trails in town. Morning saunters into the forest, peaceful runs, or more ambitious hikes up into the mountains are right out the door. Yet you are about an 8-minute drive from the center of town. Hard to beat.

Great stay!

We enjoyed the quiet beauty of the area and the location which is close to town and to hiking. The space is thoughtfully and well appointed. We appreciated all the little touches to help make guests comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed including containers for leftovers. The owners were responsive and kind. We arrived after dark, and it was a little tricky finding the right house, but we felt comfortable right away. We would definitely stay there again.

This location was great for our biking experience and being close to the foothills. Great views! The accommodations were ok and clean. I was there alone for the first several days, with both of us there, it was a little tight but fine. Not exactly Santa Fe style that we love but the skylights did provide great light.

Away from craziness of plaza- oasis not far away

Barely ten minutes from the hustle of the Plaza area- a nice view of the mountains is just out your door or patio. Well appointed casita, with ample TP, paper towels, washer/dryer- and all the kitchen items you need to use. AC worked well when combined with overhead fans. Private parking- lovely patio that we were visited by hummingbirds.we will look to stay here again.

Convenient Seclusion

What a wonderful place to stay. Hosts are amazing. Excellent communication. Watching the sun set over the mountains from the covered deck was so beautiful. Tranquil stay

Cute, quiet and very private -- everything I was looking for. I especially liked the patio and spent the majority of my mornings and evenings there taking in the mountain air, lovely views, and the wide variety of birdlife.

Short get away

This property is perfect for 2. The best thing about it is that it is secluded. We looked out at pine trees, not houses. We used the deck all the time, perfect for morning coffee. We didn't have any problems with anything inside the unit. We most definitely will be back. Thanks for sharing your unit with us.
