Welcoming Family Home
Unlike many rentals this is clearly a much loved family vacation house so it has a lot of character - vibrant artwork, an eclectic collection of furniture, a million cookbooks. potted plants inside & out and a kitchen stocked with every pot and utensil that my family which likes to cook together could hope for. The outside spaces - a comfortable covered porch for naps & a deck - where we ate dinners - overlook the lawn that slowly rolls down to the river. Lots of native wildlife - hummingbirds, black squirrels, geese, eagles, porcupine - to watch. We borrowed the owner's tubes & kayaks & floated from the boat launch in Narrowsburg back to the house - about 1 1/2 hours. Our only disappointment was that only 3 of the 4 bedrooms have ac window units. We moved the owner's floor fans into the 4th bedroom which worked once the nighttime temperature cooled down. There is only one house key which took some planning. Minor issues overall. Highly recommend this lovely vacation rental. Hope to return.

A Great Stay!
Larissa was a communicative and helpful host. She gave great recommendations from the area and made sure our stay was easy and comfortable. The property is cozy and homey, and the location is excellent. It was an amazing experience having the Delaware River literally in our backyard! Only 15 minute walk from town with lots of great stores and restaurants. Looking forward to staying here again!

Maybe the best place we've ever rented. Original art on the walls. Comfort inside and out. Natural beauty on the river--eagles, deer. The water was perfect for wading. Great for kayaking. Easy walk into the nice little town of Narrowsburg, with several restaurants. We felt entirely happy and at peace. Already planning to return.

Perfect Delaware River house
Wonderfully restored house on beautiful stretch of the Delaware River. Eagles, bass and trout were in abundance. Covered porch was appreciated during brief showers. The house was well stocked and quite spacious. We really enjoyed our five night stay.

Fall Family Getaway
My husband and I with our two young boys, ages 8 & 5, had a wonderful, quiet week stay here in Narrowsburg. We love the Deleware River and this house is located right on the river! The boys fished from the shore and from the row boat provided by the owners. The house itself is gorgeous, comfortable and has everything you need. There's a small grocery store not even a 5 min drive, where I found everything I needed for our meals and evening camp fires. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is it!

Amazing!!!
I don’t even know where to begin! The pictures do not do this place justice! We stayed for a couple of nights over Columbus Day weekend, and it was truly incredible. The yard is enormous and you are surrounded by all the beauties of nature. We saw deer, beavers, bald eagles, chipmunks. We caught fish in the river. You could hear some light rapids up the river, which was so soothing. We made s’mores, jumped in leaves, rolled down hills, watched the sun rise, saw a million stars at night. It was a dream trip. My 5 year old said it best...”mommy, it’s like we’re in a storybook”. This place is so picturesque. The home itself is much bigger than the pictures even show. It was so cozy. The tv room is gorgeous, with French doors and windows all around. A constant view of your beautiful surroundings. This place is the perfect escape. Relaxing as can be. And Main Street is so close and adorable. We can’t wait to take a trip back to the River House! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that Larissa was the perfect host. Checking in was flawless and she made sure I knew she was always available if we needed anything. Even texted me while we were there to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and that everything was running smoothly. Book this place! You won’t regret it!

Lovely week at the River House
This property was the perfect house for our family. We enjoyed the mornings, afternoon and evens sitting in the yard and looking at the Eagles and all the nature and sitting in the river. Narrowsburg is one of our favorite places to rest.

AMAZING

Perfect vacation spot!
Mu husband and I love this house, its setting, and the nearby town! So do our family and friends who visit on weekends. We've stayed here twice, once for three weeks and this summer for one. We're hoping for a longer stay next year. The house is extremely comfortable, well maintained, and tastefully furnished, with many rooms for hanging out and reading. The kitchen is large, bright and fully equipped for gourmet cooking. The bluestone side porch is lovely for breezy afternoon naps and evening drinks. We ate every meal outside on the back porch. And the river! A gently rolling lawn leads down to the Delaware. We swam; our guests canoed and rafted. Peace settled over us as we sat on Adirondack chairs, watching the wildlife and taking in the view. Narrowsburg is a short walk away. It has unusual, interesting shops and a wonderful restaurant called The Heron. There are farmers' markets all around. All in all, this is the perfect vacation spot!

This place is the perfect getaway and haven of rest! Stayed here one weekend in August and felt right at home the minute we walked through the door. This house sits right next to the Delaware river, providing amazing views and a peaceful environment. Everything in the house is arranged for ultimate comfort and relaxation. The nearby town has quaint shops and cafes, which was convenient as well.

Eagle's and Great Swimming
The home is beautiful. There's a full kitchen for the gourmet cook. We enjoyed the vegies from the garden and ate wonderful peaceful meals on the deck overlooking the river. Eagles all time of day, but most amazing in the late evening when we watched them fishing the Delaware.

Right at Home for our Wedding Week
We had an incredible time here the week of our wedding, along with our closest friends in the wedding party. The house has such character and charm, and the location right on the river is astonishing. We felt a million miles away. Hanging out and dining on the back deck overlooking the river was truly special. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Idyllic
This is truly a special spot. We've stayed here in all 4 seasons and there is always something to offer. In summer we lounge around on the deck and swim in the river. In the spring and fall we take our daughter to the nearby farm and go to the cute shops downtown and the farmer's market. And in the winter we cozy up by the fire and watch movies. This house has all of the comforts of home and then some: the decor is beautiful, the yard and gardens meticulously maintained, and the view of the river and mountains is just gorgeous! We met someone in town and they asked us where we were staying and they described it as "the best location in Narrowsburg."

Hidden Treasure
We had a wonderful time. The house was exactly as described: clean, well-maintained, cozy, just what we expected in a country home! We had good restaurants, parks close by. Really neat shops and art galleries, farmers' markets. The owners were very gracious and accommodating. We had a rowboat and canoe at our disposal. We also had access to River Trips, so there was always lots to do! We loved being right on the river. Narrowsburg is a great little town. Check out Enochian,a clothing store, Margot Spoerrie's art gallery,Main St. Cafe(try the coconut cake and other great deserts), the coffee shop and other great stores right on Main Street.
