Let me start by saying that we’ve rented many places via VRBO. Some top notch, some less than but worth the price, etc. This is the first property that I’ve been unpleasantly surprised at how little time and effort was put into a property for those renting but charged the same amount as homes I’d say are top notch, taking renters into consideration, providing a comfortable home/experience. If you rent this property, be prepared to bring everything, and I mean everything, from home. Paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, kitchen towels (you only get one), laundry soap, pillows (theirs were like rocks), blankets (theirs were duvet covers without the down comforters inside - as thin as sheets), any and all beach accessories that you need, etc. While most of this is listed to bring, many rentals have these items anyways. This rental 100% does NOT. There were cobwebs in corners of rooms from floor to ceiling, a giant hairball in the corner of the master, an empty water bottle underneath a night stand, a ceiling fan in the living room wasn’t mounted properly so swung loudly while running and the oven had leftover drippings so when we baked oysters, the smoke detector wouldn’t stop going off. I could’ve overlooked some of this if the property offered anything other than the very, very bare essentials. Don’t waste your money, keep looking.
