3 Bedroom Home in a Rural Country Setting.
2021 Beautiful new home in the heart of the Finger Lakes. This fully furnished Cape Cod Cottage sleeps up to 6 adults with a hallway futon available for an additional 2 people. Enjoy a quiet vacation relaxing in a clean country environment with the stars brightening the night skies. The cottage sits on a small lot surrounded by trees on 3 sides on a narrow country road.

Enter in to enjoy a spacious living room with a gas fireplace to bring tranquility to your evening reading of your favorite book. Adjoining the living room is a bedroom and kitchen with a glass patio door opening out to a large deck overlooking a beautiful backyard where cookouts and yard games make for a great evening of connection with family and friends. The deck holds a luxury grill and fire table! The basement is full of entertainment for children and adults! From a cozy living/ fireplace area, to a pool table, and children's play area stocked with trikes, scooters, games, ect.. you're sure to While Away your time! Free Wifi available! There is no TV. 3 kayaks available on site with lifejackets! Yard games include Spike Ball, Corn Hole, Kan Jam, Ladder Golf, and Bocce Ball!

Local attractions are plentiful with Keuka Lake/Park and Garrett Chapel close by, Penn Yan 10 minutes away, Canandaigua 30 minutes, numerous wineries and Wine Trails, Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, Edgewood Country Store nearby selling handstitched Mennonite and Amish quilts, and a small Mennonite book/binocular store directly across the street. Come, enjoy yourself, we would love to be a part of making your stay in the Finger Lakes as memorable as possible!

Solved the March Blues

We had two (2) couples getting out of the house for a March sanity check and we had a very good weekend. The While Away Cottage is perfectly equipped to handle 3 couples, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths The house and property is very clean - and they had everything you'd need including a fully stocked coffee bar. We are local so we know where "we are going" and this location was perfect for us. Penn Yan and a few great breweries, wineries and distilleries are 10 minutes We had a fabulous time and fully intend to book again.

Will rent again. Very nice house

2 couples, stayed there in mid November. House inside and out is practically brand new. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of towels and linens. It was cold while we were there, but the outside deck is very large and spacious. Grill could use some help, and there are no TVs. Basement is a plus, but we didn't use it. Property manager lives right across the street and greeted us when we arrived to make sure everything was in order. When we come to the finger lakes, we will rent this house again.

Everything they offered on line was true. They were very accommodating. I will say the coffee pot was dated with pot and Keurig. :-) My family were all adults and we were all very pleased. Thank you!!

Perfect quiet getaway

Charming cottage

This cottage was more like a home. Everything that you would want at your fingertips was there, plus so much more. Everything is super clean and updated and the owners are wonderful. We had a problem starting the fire pit, and with one phone call, the Ivan was there to replace the propane tank

Immaculate place

Our stay was amazing. The place was newer, immaculate, and so cozy. The coffee bar was great. We spent lot of time on the patio enjoying the peace and quiet and taking in the backyard. Although we don’t have small children the finished playroom in the basement was adorable, and the air hockey and pool table was fun for us adults. It was the perfect place for a family vacation.

House was clean and well appointed. (kitchen) Kids had fun playing games and reading books. We had heavy rain one day and the basement flooded but owners came quickly and resolved the problem. All in all, fun place to stay!

A perfect stay

We had a great time at this property. The house was super clean and had everything you would need for a great stay. The owners even left us a little welcome basket complete with waffle mix and maple syrup...a very nice touch. So close to the lake, which we were looking for. A huge property, which the pictures don't do it justice. I wish I brought a badminton net! However, the owners have lots of outdoor games. My only suggestion (and this is a reach as everything was great) is that the fire pit (which we loved) is a little far away from the house and there were no chairs available, so we had to carry the deck chairs down to the pit, which is a bit of a walk as the property is so big. Would recommend some outdoor chairs, which were viewable in the pictures of the house so we didn't bring any. Other than that small thing we loved everything about this place. They had everything you would need, even extra tooth paste! Amazing time. Thank you to the property owners for making our stay so nice!

Great place, indoor and out!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend and had such a great time. It was close to several breweries with great views. The fire pit out back was used every single night, with the wood they provided. Would definitely recommend!

Quiet Birthday/New Years Getaway

Our stay was amazing and exactly what we needed after a hectic year. Peaceful, beautiful clean cottage. Everything was as advertised. The cottage was so clean and had every amenity that we needed. It was the perfect get away for us and only a 3 1/2 drive from Ontario Canada. Town was only a 12 minute drive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. While Away Cottage

This home was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, well appointed, quiet location, just an amazing delightful getaway. My grand babies loved the playroom in the basement, especially the scooters and the air hockey table. The host was super nice and responded quickly to questions about the home. There was a lovely welcome basket upon arrival filled with homemade bread, local honey, pancake mix, local syrup, and coffee. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely home. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to stay here again on our next trip to New York.

Late October23 Stay

We were very pleased with our stay. We are a couple from Ontario and were meeting mid way up with a couple from Pennsylvania. The While Away cottage was as advertised. It was exceptionally clean and well appointed and we had a great getaway with our friends.
