Das erst kürzlich renovierte Wohnung in der Nähe der besten Strände auf der Lissabon-Küste ist bescheiden, hat aber Charme und alle Annehmlichkeiten. Ein offener Grundriss und einen Rundum-Balkon mit Französisch Türen bietet einen lichtdurchfluteten Wohn- und Essbereich mit Meeresbrise Jahr über.

Der längste Strand entlang der Lissabon / Cascais Küste ist nur wenige Minuten mit einer langen Promenade, mehrere Restaurants und Bars, von dem herrlichen Sonnenuntergänge, alle Arten von Wassersportarten zu beobachten. Carcavelos ist Gastgeber für internationale Surfen, Kitesurfen und Windsurfen Wettbewerbe. Das imposante 16C Fort von São Julião Barra de, sobald ein politisches Gefängnis sitzt Wache an einem Ende des Strandes und an dem anderen ist eine Landzunge aus ozean lokal bekannt für seine heilende Jod.

In der Nähe, zwei beliebte Hotels verfügen über Pool, Fitnessraum und Konferenzeinrichtungen zur Verfügung zu einem Tagessatz. Es gibt einen Taxistand und ein Tennisclub und ein kleines Einkaufszentrum, das jeden Dienst benötigt werden bietet.

Mit Geschäften, Restaurants und ausgezeichneten öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in der Nähe gibt es keine Notwendigkeit für ein Auto, aber Vermietungen sind nur ein paar Minuten bis der Bahnlinie. Carcavelos ist gleichermaßen zugänglich Lissabon mit seiner reichen Geschichte und Kultur, Estoril mit seinen berühmten Kasino und Cascais, ein malerisches Fischerdorf. In der Nähe ist die schöne Berghotel von Sintra, dem Sitz der portugiesischen Könige und Adel mit einem Palast, einem Schloss und maurischen Stadtmauern.

Great location

This 2 bedroom is steps from the beautiful beach. Shopping mall 2 blocks away. A variety of restaurants in the neighborhood. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Very prompt responses and well cared for property.

Stayed here again

It was the perfect experience for us a second time. It was lovely to be greeted with a warm and welcoming hospitality. The apartment is spacious and clean with everything we needed as well as it is in walking distance to everything we were looking for - beach, restaurants and shopping. It was an excellent and relaxing stay!

Nice apartment in perfect location

We stayed for 6 weeks at this lovely but somewhat antiquated apartment. The location is truly perfect. Even though it was July and it was really hot all around we enjoyed pretty much perfect temperatures everyday because of the sea breeze. While we had been worried that there was no AC, that was never an issue. Additionally, we were literally 5 min away walking from praia de Carcavelos -- enabling us to walk on the beach every evening -- and from a number of high quality restaurants both by the beach and in Praca do Junqueiro. And since we cooked many a meal ourselves it was great to have a very convenient and well supplied Pingo Doce only 5 min away. It was particularly helpful that the kitchen was well supplied both with kitchen utensils and cooking spices and oils! They were lacking an Italian stove coffee maker, but we bought one and left it for future guests. We did not rent a car but had no problem moving around. CP trains, Carris buses, and Uber rides were all easy to get.

Great location at Carcavelos

We booked this place not realizing how far it was out of Lisbon but it worked out well. The apartment is located close to some restaurants and a grocery store. Grocery store was a plus. There is a train station 5 minutes walk from the apartment so worked out great. Checkin process was smooth. Malcolm was great to work with, always available for any questions and made sure our checkin process went smoothly. The pictures are exactly as it looks, we had plenty of room for four of us, the two bathrooms were great. Highly recommend.

Perfect location

My family and I enjoyed staying at this apartment very much. It was very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect place to stay in Carcavelos. It was in short walking distance to many things like restaurants, grocery store, train station and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We would like to go back again soon.

Perfect Stay

We enjoyed everything about our stay. From check in to help and suggestions our hosts were very attentive. The area was perfect for a beach stay location It was easy 10/15 min walk to get to trains so a car wasn’t needed. Pictures of the apartment were right on par with posting. Only Wish it was My House!

Whether you want to stay in Portugal and want a tourist experience or a local's experience along the coast of Lisbon, this is the perfect place. My family (Husband and 4 year old) stayed for a month in the apartment in August and it was one of the best stays in my years of travel. The apartment is literally 5 minutes walk to the beach (maybe less), 10-15min walk to the train station, 5 min walk to a mall with a full grocery store, pharmacy, laundry, stores and restaurants (and even 5-10min walk to two small playgrounds). Its perfect for a family staying with small children. Car truly not needed. Literally, if you don't want to take the train, you can just use Uber or Bolt apps to get anywhere along the Lisbon coast (including Sintra) in10-25min. Its truly in the middle of everything. I felt like I never left my real home with all these conveniences. I was worried before we arrived about it having no air conditioning in the hottest month of the summer. But, with the house so close to the water, the temperature was literally 60F at night and 70-80F during the day. Plus, the sun never fully shines directly into the apartment. So, with the windows open and just one fan running, we never felt hot once! Its just a wonderful place to stay, and the owner and property manager were so helpful. There are literally only two things that I mentioned to the owner and the property manager that were cons. The first is that the main shower drains slowly, so its hard to take a shower in it. However, its my understanding from the property manager that they are already planning to fix it. Second, with the convenience of the location, of course comes loud road noise in the AM. But, the neighbor's dogs and the car business across the street's dogs were a major annoyance in the first week. But, after a while, like everything, you get used to it. Great place, great support, you will have a great time living here.

Beach life with city access

Excellent place to stay to visit Lisbon…or not! We had to tear ourselves away from the beach and some sightseeing. Property Is as advertised - or even nicer. Great location between the beach and a square surrounded by restaurants, with a Pingo Doce grocery store close by. The walk to the train station is pleasant. Trains run frequently. The house manager is pleasant and efficient. No AC, but none needed. The breezes from the ocean keep the house cool and with windows on 3 sides there are cross breezes. Well furbished kitchen. Our stay was delightful. My husband just chimed in and said to make sure I described our comfortable it is. Yes, it was beautiful (the art!) and a great place just to relax.

Apt was lovely, close to everything, easy walking. Noisy with businesses during day, but quiet at night. Kitchen spacious, as is bathtub, much appreciated for soaking after walking and beachcombing. Friendly locals, good food all around.

Excellent location - A home from home

This apartment is light, airy and spacious. It's really well equipped in the kitchen and enabled us to eat at home most evenings, which was just what we wanted. The location is excellent: A five minute walk to the beach; a five minute walk to the supermarket; a two minute walk to a selection of cafés and restaurants and really close to the main road that runs between Cascais and Lisbon. Beds, sofas and furniture were all comfortable. The main bathroom had a lovely shower and bath and was beautifully tiled. The only negative we found was that we didn't use the second bathroom, preferring to keep the door shut because of the bad smell from the drains. We visit Carcavelos frequently and will definitely look to rent this apartment again - We couldn't have asked for more!

Gorgeous Apartment in a Perfect Location for Exploring Lisbon and it's Stunning Coastline

we have just returned from a wonderful week in Carcavelos, Lisbon. On arrival you are met by Cassie who gives you the lowdown on the area. She is extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Although predominantly a residential area it has everything you need to hand for a great stay. Location wise it is perfect. 2 mins from a fantastic beach, the best we went to in fact. There you will find really good restaurants which are mentioned in the apartment guide book. Great service, fabulous food, lovely people. There are also restaurants, cafes and a shopping centre around the corner. Great coffee and pastries in the morning ! The actual apartment, although it looks quite average on the outside is a little gem. It has everything you need. It is bright, spacious, airy, beautifully decorated, has all mod cons, a great shower, huge balcony and comfy beds. 10 minutes walk from the train station which takes you to Lisbon or to Cascais in the other direction. Both are must see's for the food, hustle and bustle but it really is lovely coming home to your quiet apartment to chill out after a busy day sightseeing. We would highly recommend this apartment and area. If we ever come back to Portugal we would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much !!!

Second visit as excellent as the first....

We visited this property two years ago and were so impressed we returned in 2017 for a two week visit. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. It is a few minutes walk to a 2km beach, good restaurants and a small, upscale shopping centre and grocery store. The property is about a 10 minute walk to a commuter train with good access to Lisbon and Cascais. The family that owns the property and the property manager are professional and pleasant to work with.

Great apartment

This is a spacious and well-furnished flat which made an excellent base for our holiday in Lisbon. It's not in a pretty building, but inside it's elegant, very convenient and great for its price. The apartment is a stone's-throw from the long and lively beach, and the sea breezes meant that it never felt oppressively hot despite wall-to-wall sunshine. There's a square full of restaurants and cafés round the corner--our children became devotees of one place that sold outrageous combinations of waffles, crepes and ice-cream. And a good supermarket just beyond that. The train station is a short walk away and has excellent connections. The apartment was kitted out very thoughtfully with everything we needed including copious kitchen equipment, beach-gear, guidebooks, Saramago novels and wireless internet. All in all a highly recommended place to stay.

Perfect location near beach and Lisbon.

Our stay was excellent and consistent with what was posted; proximity to beach, central Lisbon, restaurants, grocery store and commuter train were all very good. The apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable. Dealings with the owner were always professionally handled. We would return gladly to this apartment and have been recommending it to friends, family and co-workers. Frequently, we would spend a half day at the beach and spend a half day in Lisbon, Sintra, Estoril or Cascais. After supper we sometimes took the train into Belem for a walk and pastries. It was a very relaxing way to spend a two week vacation.

Perfect location in a comfortable tastefully decorated well equiped apartment

We stayed here for 10 days in October of 2014 and couldn't be happier with the rental. We arrived on a direct flight from Boston at 8 AM and were med by Linda, a good friend of the owner, who drove us to the apartment and got us situated with a gift of wine and cheese. She also drove us to our departing flight which was convenient but not necessary since a cab or train/bus combination was also available. First of all the location is just steps from the best beach on this coast. We happened to be there for excellent weather (some said better than the summer) so we enjoyed swimming, watching the surfers, photographing, walking, and dining at the many restaurants that line the promenade. Then it was just a 10 minute walk to the train station where a round trip ticket to Lisbon is around $5 and takes 20 minutes on a train arriving every twenty minutes. We spent a lot of time in Lisbon since the city has so much to offer with its history, architecture, and restaurants. I would highly recommend this apartment if you plan to spend a lot of time touring Lisbon. The square behind the complex had a wide range of restaurants and our favorite was Restaurante Marisqueira Atlântico where we feasted twice. Our favorite dish was the sauteed cuttlefish. An extensive grocery store was available at the Riviera center two blocks away. Located on a corner, the apartment is on the 1st floor (1 above ground) with a balcony that wraps around the perimeter: perfect for an afternoon glass/bottle of wine and watching people coming from the beach. There is a steady breeze and the large windows that give the apartment a light airy feeling. Because there were so many wonderful restaurants in the area we didn't spend much time cooking in the kitchen but if we had wanted to it was very modern and well equipped. Also since the apartment was recently remodeled the bathrooms were up to date with excellent showers and the entire apartment was tastefully furnished.

The Best of Carcavelos Lisbon by Australia Visitor

Spent two weeks here in June July 2013 and was thoroughly enjoyable for many reasons; The apartment itself is well decorated with antiquties and comfy sofas / chairs with persosnal art A magnifiecent kitchen that any chef or home entertainer would be proud of Comfy beds and excellent toilet shower facilities all with gorgeous breezes thruout Location to beach cafes, gym, grocery, would not be easier The square behind the complex is home to restaurants that cover Portuguese to Chinese and great coffee deserts, open every day, about 2 minutes walk, seriuosly The grocery store, Pingo Doce, is a further 2 minutes away but has other stores with good fashion, salons, pharmacy, food court and a gym in the hotel that allows casual membership The beach well that may take all of 2 minutes to walk across the street inteh ipposite direction the restaurants, and is sensational, long, easy swim, no rip tides, only really cold water.....but the sun easily warms the body... Along thebeach are several more restaurants, cafes, Sangrea, seafood, extraordinarily wonderful, the food is so inexpensive going out to eat, you may not take advantage of the excellent kitchen back at the apartment! The owner also has personal contacts which we used extensively as a tour guide of the area who drove us to many places, in particular our favorite was Sintra, in the hills outside of Lisbon where there is a remarkable temperature drop, the guide is also an excellent chef as had an evening meal prepared for us. My sister and I inherited this apartment from my mother. We spent our teenage years as American ex-pats in this apartment before we both moved back to the USA for school, work, then marriage and family. We commuted daily by train to school in Lisbon. We made lasting friendships and feel very connected to Portugal. We wish we could be there more often. We renovated the apartment in the hope that more people will enjoy what we enjoy and that it will be used more frequently. The neighbors are very pleasant as is the location. We have friends and connections that can help us personalize a visit for you with insider information and recommendations.

Our mother chose this apartment (which we have since inherited) because of it's location. She never drove and it is ideally located to public transportation. It is in a residential neighborhood with every amenity and is close to one of the more popular and best beaches along this remarkable coast line. Our mother chose Portugal because of it's beauty, unique character (very different from Spain), kindness of its people and because it was less expensive than the rest of Europe. It still is. We refurbished and furnished the apartment to accommodate today's needs and it is a modest but sunny, happy and comfortable home with modern conveniences.

I return to Portugal at least once a year to visit friends and revisit fond memories. Growing up in Portugal was a great experience and it spoiled me for food and wine. You really have to work hard to get a bad meal anywhere in Portugal. Eating out and outdoor cafe life is very much a part of the experience. After 50 years, the country still surprises me with it's easy hospitality, kindness and charm, diverse influences, incredible history, artisans, culture and earthiness .
