Welcome to 'lil seabiscuit' our wonderful beachfront cottage! This 2 bedroom 2 full bath home is very special. This is a magical property where you have the best of both worlds - vegetation & oceanfront in your back yard!

When you approach the home, you will appreciate the 'curb' appeal as the beautiful landscaping welcome you!

When you enter, you will be embraced with hard woods throughout the home (over 125 years old!) and a warm but coastal and fun feel interior. The kitchen/dining as you enter, living room to your left (ocean side). Past the living room, you'll enter the Master Bedroom which has a lovely en suite bathroom.
Off of the kitchen, the 2nd Bedroom and Full Bathroom will be found with it's own theme you will enjoy! The living room couch pulls out into a Queen Sofa Bed for a 3rd couple/child(ren)/single, etc. We provide all linens and towels for your ease and comfort, along with the essentials to get you started!

The oceanside of the house will amaze you as it is purely sliding glass (hurricane proof!) doors - you have a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the home! Curtains you can draw as you wish throughout.

A fully operational kitchen is available for those who want to just stay home and cook/grill and enjoy the ocean breeze while sitting on the back deck! Sunsets are NOT to be missed! No need to leave as you'll have everything you need when you arrive at 'lil seabiscuit'! Beach chairs/towels are available for your stay along with some beach toys. Fire pit available, Adirondack chairs, loungers, outdoor dining on deck, you will be able to appreciate the sight, smell and feel of mother nature. However, if you don't feel like cooking there are plenty of amazing restaurants (even in walking distance!) to explore!

We hope you come visit this special cottage (we got married here so if you're looking for a wedding venue, definitely please reach out!). This is a place where very many memories have been made for us, friends and family, and we know your visit will create special memories in wonderful Oak Island for you as well!

a week at the perfect beach cottage

My sister and I stayed for seven nights at this cottage on a North Carolina barrier island. We have rented similar places several Aprils in the past. Lil Seabiscuit was far superior to any other experience in both comfort and class. The owners have thought of everything! And when we ran into a problem with the hot water, they helped me solve it immediately, even though they were in Japan at a fancy dinner! Our best experienfe ever!

We stayed at Oak Island after visiting UNCW and had a great time. House was just as advertised. Right on the beach and close to everything you need. Owner very accessible and responsive. We would definitely stay again

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here at lil seabiscuit! The house is beautifully decorated and clean. It had everything we needed, it was also very easy to get in contact with the owners. We loved being able to step out on the back deck and listen to the ocean or sit at the fire pit at night. We hope to return next year!!

Great little house!

Our stay was really nice. The house was beautiful and well maintained. Access to the beachs and location were really nice. Only downside is that the Second bedroom is really small. We have two younger boys and they both had to share the bed because there was no room even for a sleeping bag on the floor. Outside of the size of the second bedroom the place is a real find.

Just perfect

The cleanest, best equipped and most stylish rental we have ever stayed in. Beachfront location with water views from the deck and living room make this a really great place to spend time - even in the rain we enjoyed looking at the ocean from inside the house. Jacqueline is a superb host who is responsive and provides clear communication. Also, she provided an excellent guide to the house which explains everything. The second bedroom is a bit small, but in spite of that, the house is very comfortable and accommodating for two couples. This was a five star experience in every way - we can't wait to stay here again!!!

We had the best time staying at this adorable cottage. We can tell the owners genuinely care that we were comfortable and taken care of. The cottage has so much character and the deck was our absolute favorite spot. We loved it most because it’s oceanfront and the perfect size for our family of four. Our daughters are 7 and 10 and shared the second bedroom comfortably. The cottage was clean and cozy. The owners are over the top nice. Our vacation was everything we hoped for and more. We are so grateful we found lil’sea biscuit. (The only downside was the construction noise one home over but that’s completely out of the owner’s control. We adapted and drowned it out by playing music on the deck but just a heads up, that home should be completed soon it looked like.) Thankfully our last two days fell on the weekend and they didn’t work on those days. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to be back. Thank you Jackie and Jason !!! We appreciate you both and how thoughtful y’all are.

We found a TREASURE on Oak Island!

This charming cottage had everything! We loved the look and feel of the place. It was so comfy and cozy. All of the amenities were as described in the listing. Hearing the ocean while gazing at a fire from the deck was so relaxing. Adjustable beds, plenty of outdoor lounging space, and the sight and sound of the ocean made for a tranquil vacation. Lil SeaBiscuit did NOT Disappoint...

We would definitely stay here again. This is a lovely old cottage with brand-new appliances and electronics throughout. The original pine floors and overall construction of the bones of the house speak to its history and strength through time. Everything inside has been updated and Alexa was there to greet us and help us enjoy our stay even more. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Magical place by the sea

We came to Lil Sea Biscuit for a much needed romantic getaway and to just relax. This beautiful property did not disappoint! It had everything we needed to cook including a gas grill on the deck as well as a really cute bar with stools on the deck facing the beach to enjoy cocktails in the evening or coffee in the morning. The house is so lovely, beds very comfortable and everything was sparking clean! We cannot wait to come back to your beautiful home.

Oerfect location on Oak Island

Jackie the owener was incredibly responsive to all our numerous questions - so patient! The loation is perfet - the quiet side of the island yet close to all the great restaurants on the island as well as 15 mminutes from Southport. Jackie gave us lists of restaurants and each one was better than the one before!!! The masate pbedroom is absoutely the best - great ocean view - short walk to the beach - great dec - chairs, fire pit, etc. The 2nd bedroom is quite small but has its own bathroom - so 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. the cottage is so quaint built in the 1960's - linens all clean so I think they even change comforters and wash between guests so felt Covid safe. wood floors over 100 years old. Jackie has chairs, umbrellas, etc so you can totally enjoy your stay and not lug beach stuff. Jackie is so passionate about her house and it comes through.
