Good place

We just had a good time with the family and friends at this place. There is really enough space for 16 people at this house. is not a new or extravagant cabin, but it is still a decent house with a cabin style in a good location.

Disappointed

The cabin was clean enough although the sheets on the pullouts were not. We washed them before using. The shower in third bathroom was unusable( no faucet and water turned off too it). Fire pit didn’t turn on. A tree had split and was leaning on the house. It blocked our view.

Disappointed

Let me start with the rental office staff was extremely nice and helped the best they could. The home is poorly kept. Mold in 2 tubs, game room door to the outside had no locks we had to put furniture by the door to prevent anyone or animal from entering. The air hockey table and foose ball table were missing ball and luck so couldn’t use them. The kitchen had no cooking pans except a few miniature pots to boil enough water to make a few cups of tea. A few doors were broken and either didn’t close all the way or you had to use force to open. Very sad because the home acoukd be very beautiful if they decorated and didn’t make repairs with anything they found. French doors are actually 2 different colored doors. Floors are warped and feels like your foot may go through the floor in certain areas.

I do not recommend!

Our stay was from 12/30-1/6 To start off with as soon as we arrived we found out the back door had been kicked in. It would not stay closed or locked. That ended up getting “fixed” but someone could still easily come inside. Once we inspect the rooms we found mold in every bathroom. The floors were very dirty. Also the floors had very bad water damage. Hair ties and trash from the last guest in the rooms. Hair all over the beds. Everything in the kitchen was dirty and they do not provide a lot of cookware. We had to buy our own cleaning supplies and clean the whole house ourselves. It was disgusting what we got up. This whole house needs a deep clean before anyone else stays. I would not recommend the house. I would definitely not recommend bringing small kids to this house. A lot of things are broke and could easily harm a child examples are loose flooring/carpet, bricks, chairs and the table.

TERRIBLE CABIN

Just take my advice, please do not rent this cabin!!!! You will be very disappointed! Floors nasty Saggy Floors Moldy bathtub I could go on and on. It was so bad we was moved to another cabin.

Won’t be back

We were pretty hopeful since the other reviews are all over the place. Unfortunately, the bad reviews were spot on. This place is perfectly located, but the cons far outweigh the pros. Check-in process was not simple, and even though we tried to do “virtual check-in” ahead of time, it took multiple phone calls to the resort and we still had to wait in line to check-in once we arrived. When we finally got into our home, we found it to have multiple problems, including an active bug problem in the downstairs, leaky fridge, broken porch railings, black mold in two of the bathrooms. I could go on and on

Sweet mountain Dreams -Ventura Resorts what a let down

Made the best of a unforseen situation. The check in process was crazy. You set everything up on line through VRBO then the day of you have to set up an account with the property management company. Which was difficult being in the mountains with limited service. Called the office 4 times to assist. Check in was to be 4 pm. At 4:15 I called they said it could be as late as 6 and if after that they may give us a late check-in. Excuse me! Once the address and infor arrived we went to that cabin. I took pictures and emailed the company right away followed up with a call. 6pm Saturday maintenance showed up to take pictures but not fix the safety issues or discomfort issues. See below. These are items that need to be addressed. Some extreme safety hazards and dangerous. Bathrooms show mold in areas Back corner bedroom with King bed no bathroom the Mattress sags in the center and looks like a taco. Kitchen cabinets need knobs and some of them do not stay on the hinges. Closet door for laundry room is off Back side porch. Flooring is rotton and the railing sways falling off. (Dangerous)this sits over a huge cliff. Bathroom downstairs has a hole in the wall Bunk bed room has an outlet that is in broken outlet (fire hazard) Outside fire pit knob is broke and the thermal couple is burnt out. Refrigerator leaks. Couch beds are a joke. We paid for 13 people to stay and due to the safety issues and beds that were unusable. 5 went and stayed at a hotel. So disappointed in this cabin. Venture resorts advise this is a newer property for them,if that is so they need to get with the owner and have items in code or loose them as clients for your reputation sake. Disappointed in the property management for not addressing things in a timelier manner. I know that 11 adults who love to travel and such will be spreading the work and NOT staying here again.

Our stay

We didn’t get the actual address until after 4pm and we were booked to have it starting at 4pm. Even though no one got hurt and our stay was short, there were many things wrong with the property. The floors were absolutely disgusting. They were sticky and our feet/socks were black even walking on them for 15 minutes. Almost all the doors stuck and were hard to open/close to the bathrooms and bedrooms. We had hardly anything to cook and make meals with. We only stayed for a short time and ordered out but if we had the cabin for a longer stay, we would’ve had to go and by cooking utensils, baking sheets, etc. For how many people this cabin accommodated and the money I paid, I would’ve expected it to have those sort of things. We weren’t even given hand towels for the bathrooms. Not all the tv’s worked in the bedrooms either. The tiles on the steps were a hazard as they came up higher and we’re a safety issue. Lastly, the railing outside with the hot tub was NOT secure. We leaned against the railing in the corner and it moved. Thankfully no one got hurt but I would NOT recommend this cabin to anyone unless it was cleaner and the safety issues were addressed.

House is dirty, not maintained and not equipped.

This house has not been cleaned or maintained in a long time. We made repeated called to property management. While the ladies taking my calls were very nice and created “tickets” used by an app to doleout the work, no ione ever came to clean or make any repairs during our 7 day stay. The house was also ill equipped. For example, only 2 coffee cups , 7 forks, no toaster, 6 sets of towels, no kitchen towels or oven mitts. In a five bedroom house. Two of the bathrooms had significant black mold and the master bath tub faucet was ripped apart. 12 inch cob webs coming down from the ceiling, fuzzy dust behind doors and on wood trim. Don’t rent this house. We work hard and save hard to afford these vacations, and I don’t want to see another hard working family have the experience that we had.
